The LFA is just more aggressive sounding, in my opinion
It sounds much more refined and well adjusted than the cgt.

Honestly I can’t believe how close they sound! CGT sounds a little angrier and the LFA a little smoother. Just two separate cars that sound like heaven 😇.

@@thulasimaniklecollege4513 The Carrera lacks some of the induction noise and also sounds much more brutal, the LFA sounds much smoother and fuller with the tuned intakes
@@Kwame_Citizen it’s not exactly too difficult. One has an engine attached to a well made exhaust system and the other attached to a literal musical instrument.

They do sound virtually the same (90%). By how we can distinguish one from another is Yamaha engineers' touch around final mufflers in LFA 🙂🥇
Yamaha also engineered the intake resonance tube, so it has the most guttural intake noise ever.

@@clover658 But the Carrera GT's engine is actually derived from a proper Porsche 3.5 V10 F1 engine, just with the engine displacement slightly enlarged.

LFA is creamy and sublime sound that's makes me smile every time I hear it it's in my opinion the greatest car made and the amount of videos which there aren't many it deserves more to show how this car is the best "Unicorn super car" in the world I love this car and hopefully one day I might be able to just sit in one to see what dreams are made of....

The CGT sounds angrier than the LFA. So for me I prefer the CGT.

LFA still give me chills!!! Out of the question, LFA all the way. Porsche is not bad either but, it doesn't have that "something" in the sound that LFA has.
This and 360CS is my favorite sounding car.. Oh and 599GTO

LFA sound is "created" by Yamaha; my thought is, LFA is more like exhaust sound while Carrera GT is raw sound of engine. I can't say which is better, but I prefer Carrera GT for that reason.
If you listen this with an IEM it makes extra bass and extra top end even tho its just sound for LFA and that is fun but for CGT its pretty much bass

T.50, new Aston Martin (Cosworth) V12, they have naturally aspirated engines that are going to make these seem tame by comparison. High revving naturally aspirated are not dead.

Good Lord! I was all hot & bothered watching that, I almost had a crisis! What a machine! That LFA might have a now antiquated gear box but holy smokes it still the best sounding car on the planet! Can someone please come up with a good manual gear box so this car can be enjoyed over the next decade and more

LFA has better voice, probably due to Yamaha tuning the exhaust. But both sound so so so sexy

Just wondering if Lexus will produce a LFA2 one day?
No matter how many engine / exhaust recordings I hear, the LFA's V10 hits symphonic nirvana better than any other engine. I include Ferrari, Lamborghini, et al. Turbos are sucking hind teat by comparison. I'll allow for the possibility that Gordon Murray's V12 could change this, but even at that I'm still betting on the Lexus. BTW, not a Lexus / Toyota fanboy--my second favorite engine sound is the 2.6 liter V8 in the Alfa Montreal.
