  • We went on an amazing day trip to Kamikochi, located within Chūbu-Sangaku National Park in Nagano, Japan. What makes this place special is it's has mostly been preserved in it's natural state and allows visitors enjoy the area in all it's beauty.

    I’ve only ever seen the Japanese Alps covered in snow, so this was nice to see as well! Seems very peaceful! I hope you get to see that monkey next time lol

    Hi! Love the video. Am going in June. Does the taxi drop you at a different place vs the bus ? I noticed you walked 1 hour to Kappa bridge.

    • @didibryan
      @didibryan  Před rokem +1

      You can choose where to get off! We chose to get off earlier to walk to kappa bridge and enjoy the views before, but you can get dropped off at kappa bridge as well if you want

      Hi Didi & Bryan, I was in Kamikochi today. It was as awesome as in your video. There were many monkeys even on the way from Taishio pond to Kappabashi.

      Oh that's awesome! I guess we must have just gotten unlucky or went during the wrong season 😅

      @@didibryan Is the park closed in winter? I remember pictures of Japan with roads surrounded by huge snow walls on both sides. Maybe that's how people go see the snow monkeys 😀

    • @didibryan
      @didibryan  Před rokem +1

      Yes, park is closed during the winter. The snow walls are also near the Japan Alps but in Toyama prefecture.
      There is also the snow monkey park that we went to earlier this year and we have another video of that as well, but that's also on the east side of Nagano

      @@didibryan I went back and watched your previous snow monkey videos. They are one of my favorite animals, and I think one of them is my uncle.
      If you get a chance to drive through those snow walls, please make a video.

      And will do!!
