Accidentally killing Suggs was the worst mistake of my life because of how scarce the ammo is, even if it’s cheap asf.
You didn’t reload a previous save? It’s definitely worth losing even a couple hours of gameplay for this thing and it’s ammo😂

i love how the Americans deployed T-45 Power Armor with 5mm AP Miniguns to disintegrate the chinese tanks, and they were just like: “best we can do is invisibility suits and a grenade launcher”

To be fair, getting grenades lobbed at you from someone that is completely invisible would be very advantageous

The only bad thing about is that Suggs is the only good source of ammo for it. The ammo is cheap, but he only seels 20-40 in my experience. Arturo and KLEO can both sell like 3-8 but thats not really all that much. I guess its to balance it being absurdly cheap to buy for how good it is?
Thats why i downloaded a mod to patch the cc weapons to use munitions 40mm. That alone is worth munitions to me

This thing was my LIFELINE fighting the Mechanist on survival. That and a suit of T-60F power armor, like 25 doses of psycho jet, some psychobuff and med-x, 3 Nuka Cola quantums, and enough stimpacks to ironically KILL a Yao Guai.
But this thing helped too for sure.
Mechanist is easy af with just power armor n a half decent weapon let alone what you had survival or no.

That is strange. I did the quest and my Suggs seems to be set to Essential. The guards keep spawning at his place and keep downing Suggs but he gets up later. I think only player damage can actually perma kill Suggs.

This and the Napalmer are absolutely fantastic!
Napalmer at blowing off ghouls legs and the nade launcher at anything else, especially with a critical hit its such a good additon to this update

I used that piece of crap when attacking the Prydwin on Survivor. It didn't do anything worthwhile, I had to revert to using the Brutalizer shotgun, it worked much better.
I’ve found that although the ballistic shield dose protect you significantly from explosive damage (mostly your own when using this weapon) it is absolutely horrendous for aiming, specially because it can get dirty and you can’t see anything through it

You can't be seen if there's nobody to see you
It can't, but the other version can. The Pipe Grenade Launcher can be modded with a Suppressor. This will not buff the explosion damage since they ignore sneak bonuses, but the projectile does 40 base damage which can be buffed with sneak. Not to mention you'll have a low AP cost silent ranged AoE weapon you can use in sneak. Very unique. The best thing to use against groups that are close together.

I was confused about the next gen update but now I have this and all the others but this is my favourite.
I’m so thankful they finally brought grenade launchers to fallout 4. Ever since fallout new vegas I always thought they were cool and fun. I also loved using them in other games too so being a fallout 4 player it really made me happy.
I saved Suggs but every time I visit him I have to kill Marvin’s goons because they respawn😂😂
You can use the ballistic shield to make an unkillable character, even in power armor.

During Amoral Combat in NukaWorld, I would wait for the challengers door to open ,shoot that twice or three times and go home. It was almost funny to hear all the gangs applaud for 10 seconds and it's over! Even the guy with the cool laser unalived in seconds. Never used a simpack.

I added a two shot legendary effect to one hip fire it at a location, and boy how fun it is to watch everything getting lit up on the other end from a distance.
I thought this was a mod I had installed for far too long.
Fun bethesda moment: the ammo can only be bought in small qauntities by a single vendor that resides in a random unmarked allyway. The ammo cannot be crafted either, and if the vendor dies, no more ammo!
It just works!

The ammo is a bit rare but after a while almost all vendors start selling it, diamond city and goodneighbor that is, dunno about bunker hill or covenant.
I was testing out a portable cheat terminal when i found this weapon, unfortunately the cheat terminal didnt have the ammo so i cpuldnt test it😢

Fun to use, but if Suggs dies during When Pigs Fly, acquiring 40mm frag ammo become a lot tricker.

That weapon will break your game 4 times in a row, and the textures won't even load. That was my experience anyway

The most broken thing about the Chinese Grenade Launcher is the absurdly low VATS cost. You can queue up enough shots to delete anything.
It's a shame that the Enclave & weapons CC content came with the recent update. Hopefully someone will make a degrade patch that still allows it to be installed...

Yeah… the weapon is invisible for me. That whole pack is either invisible or an error sign.
They did fix it, make sure you get the latest updates - mine was the same way before the last patch.

I remember a super mutant corpse launched at me while I was using the genade launcher. I fired another round but since the corpse was launching itself at me, it hit the corpse and killed me 😂😂😂

No legendary but I did have one combined with a pipe rifle, so that was interesting. Other than that I almost never see any CGL’s out in the world.

Yeah the pipe launcher is better. It has a suppressor while the chinese one doesnt. Sure its only 1 shot but its one shot that gets the sandman suppressor bonus plus Ace Operator works with it.

Soooo it gets +100% damage from demolition expert and another +100% damage from rifleman??? That's so broken ahahha, I'm gonna pass on this one but it seems really cool.
It also get's another 50% from Lone Wanderer because the perk is bugged and applies the 25% damage buff twice if weapons are explosive.
Its cool an all but the rpg is better and ammo is more attainable
