      @43shrestha Před 4 lety

Hey there, though you have some another sponsor name's in ds 260, you can always change the sponsor's name later on by unlocking the ds 260 or even change the sponsor's name while you have the visa interview, the officer will update the sponsor's name and address and will send ur ssn and green card to that address.
You can go any place ,needn't be the same address as that of Sponsor.

Thank you for the video. But I don't really get it why do you say that non liquid assets are not taken into account and for instance job offers are. Let's say I have an apartment in my country which I can either sell or rent out for $1000 a month (it's not big money, but those money can support a new-immigrant). It's the passive income a person can get and it doesn't depend on one's capacity to adapt in a new country. And the other thing. In the instructions you show for the DV lottery there are "personal assets" right before the I-134. How can they be not taken into account?

    • @BritSimon
      @BritSimon  Před 5 lety +2

It seems like you did not watch the video very well. First - the I-134 lists a sponsors income and assets. As I explained in the video, listed asset values are taken at 20%.
Second about liquid assets. THere is a big difference between what you might do to generate an income, as opposed to an income you already have and can prove. You might win the lottery, and that might be your plan - but they can't take that plan into account.
Also, the interviews last a few minutes. Do you really think the CO will want to get into a discussion about your future plans, cost of maintaining the rented apartment and so on. Make it simple.

The lady at USCIS live chat said that my sponsor can send hard copies to the Department and CO can easily access all information of the Form via his computer since she doesn’t want to send it by post mail to prevent package loss and information **hacked** via email due to sensitive info in I-134. Is it ok to bring a scanned I-134 with some ***blackened information*** including 1040/W2 and pay slips when I am at the interview?

Hello brit, first thanks for this video, There is written in my country's US embassy page:
"Applicants who fall into any category below should bring these additional documents
    For family based visa applicants:
The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s.
Proof of your U.S. petitioner’s status and domicile in the United States (photocopy of a U.S. passport, naturalization certificate, or lawful permanent resident card).
Evidence of the relationship between the petitioner and visa applicant (such as photographs, letters, or emails)."
I'm alone - not family based applicant, so i do not need I-864(I-134) form, as it's written above? so if i do not need sponsor, does it means also that there is no need to show some sort of personal savings or job offer?

    Mr. Simon,
My case is high 2020EU4****, but i have sent the ds260.
I wanted to ask 2 things
    1. If USA address changed, is it good not to unlock the ds and only bring the new address to the interview
    2. Just in case of not being interviewed - is it officially allowed to attend to dv2021 on October 2019.
    Thank you.

@BritSimon , Dear Mr. Simon, Sorry one more thing about second question,
Is it ok that the passport details in ds260 that has been sent, will be the same as in dv2021 October entry (as we know new DV2021 should be filled up including passport details).
      Thank you dear Mr. Simon

Thank you, BritSimon. I came across this update after this video but I'm a bit confused here. What does it mean? Does it mean Visa applicants are not required to complete nor should they present the DS-5540, Public Charge Questionnaire? HELP HERE, I'M CONFUSED!
    Update on Public Charge
    Last Updated: August 7, 2020
On Wednesday, July 29, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York enjoined the Department of State from “enforcing, applying, implementing, or treating as effective” the Department’s October 2019 interim final rule and accompanying Foreign Affairs Manual guidance related to the public charge ground of visa ineligibility. The Department is complying with the court’s order and is in the process of updating its guidance to consular officers on how to proceed under the preliminary injunction. In the interim, visa applications that appear to be ineligible under INA 212(a)(4) will be refused for administrative processing to allow for consultation with the Department, including legal review to ensure compliance with applicable court orders. Visa applicants are not requested to take any additional steps at this time and should attend their visa interviews as scheduled. Applicants are not required to complete nor should they present the DS-5540, Public Charge Questionnaire.

Right now the "new" parts of the public charge concerns are blocked, but other parts remain. My best advice is have a DS5540 ready and an I-134.

My dad has a bachelors degree but hasn't worked for the past 10+ years. He is not a public charge in my country. He's in good health and wants to move to the US and start a business. ( he's 55 ) do you think our family has a chance? Thank you so much

Is it the same case for the U.S and can i have an idea how this case is treated? I know it's a bit out of subject but it will mean the world to me if you provide me with an answer!

Over here, you pay for insurance. You will need that - especially with an existing medical condition.

how is "raising the bar" an anti-immigration policy? Isn't it normal that you want qualified people to enter the country rather than people who are likely to become a public charge?

    Hello sir
When I submit the DS 260 form I made 2 mistakes of last questions about social security number questions.
1.Do you want the social security administration.... I put "No"
2.Do you authorized disclosure from this form..... I put "No"
Is it incorrect ? it may be a problem?
So.. Can I correct it from the interview ?
I hope a best way regarding this.
