This is a detailed video where I address the common confusion about whether the date of submission or case number is important in case number processing. What affects when you become "DQ" (documentarily qualified).
I have discussed this many times before, but hopefully this will be enough explanation for people to understand.

Thanks, your statements are completely reasonable. However, we have October now and no sign for prioritizing ds forms for possibly current cases. Will see if your hypothesis are right in a few weeks.
KCC spent an additional 2 months on DV2021, so October is wasted, November will be light and probably December too. We already know all that.

Hi Simon. I am 2022 winner, I have submitted my DS260 in Oct. 2021. My case number is within 1600s and I did not received an email till now. By the way, once I registered for lottery , I entered my passport that expired on 12/2020 then when I filled DS260, I entered the new one with new number of passport. Does that affect my chance to have the interview
It's very confusing and unpredictable,something it looks they were processing according to DQ but in some aspects(even in my case I got DQ in March 2021 after 5k case no. Mine is 1700)they processed according to case no.

Hi Simon, I’m 2022OC2XX, my case is now current. I submitted DS260 10 June 21, and proactively on your advice sent my documents on 26 Aug 21. I am yet to receive any correspondence from KCC to suggest my case is DQ’d. Do you have any idea what timeframe I can expect to be DQ’d and is it likely I will receive an interview date soon after based on having such a low CN that is already current? Also is there any kind of data set to show this info such as; low/mid/high CN, date DS260 submitted, date documents submitted, date of DQ and scheduled interview date? To show potential relative timeframes? And thank you for this video yes you did explain it well. Always impressed with your knowledge and helpfulness thank you so much.
There are processing DS260s now after a long delay while theyb were working on DV2021. I would expect them to get to June DS260 submissions within a week or two from now, and then they would move on to your documents. So - bottomline - expect a delay and probably a January interview.

After submitting my documents, can I still submit my Marriage certificate if I happen to get married between when I submitted my documents and interview date.
They will deny your visa 99,9%. It is better to receive vise for you, then reunion with your wife. They will suspect that your marriage is fake.
