- It takes 20 minutes to cross the tunnel. Why does it even exist?
The Laerdal Tunnel, located in Norway, plays a crucial role in connecting the two major cities of Oslo and Bergen. Without the tunnel, motorists had to reach their destination by ferry or through a difficult mountain crossing. But now there is a highway (E16) between the cities, of which the tunnel is a part.
In this video I talk about how safe the tunnel is, how the air is cleaned, how it was built and other interesting things.

@@Design_Nerdonly a couple days Yayy
@@Design_Nerdjust curious, have you thought on making the video of how different countries engineer their buildings yet?🤔
Oh, yes! I think I’ll make it in September/early October. Right now I have other videos that I’ve planned earlier, but I’ll definitely make a video about building engineering, too.
@@Design_Nerd that’s fine! But the idea of that has never really been done on CZcams so it would definitely be pretty interesting to watch!
Imagine the pain it was to build this
Yup. Digging 24 kilometers through a mountain range. That's insane.
Because if its wasnt 15 km it has to been short..er. 😅
😂
