BMW e36 Oil Pump Rebuild s/m5X

This video shows how to fully rebuild the oil pump on 6cyl e36's. All m50, m52, s50, s52 engines are the same process. The rotor and gear are specific for late models vs early model cars. You CANNOT use an s50 gear and rotor in an s52 pump, and vice versa. The obd2 cars have a rotor that is thicker than the early production cars, thus not allowing it to fit the housing.
