INSTALLING KW HAS KIT | BMW F80 M3 / F82 M4 / F87 M2
zhlédnutí 7KPřed rokem
Thought I would record a video on one of the most common mods for the F8X chassis. KW HAS kit is an affordable option for a more aggressive stance while retaining the EDC functions. These are a relatively straight forward install, but if you have any questions let me know IG: OnlyyDans
BMW ZF 5 Speed (328/M3) Detent Repair & Transmission Seals
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed rokem
As most of you know, mid to higher milage e36's suffer from 5th gear lean. In this video I will cover how to DIY and fix an issue that BMW has bulletined. You will need the special BMW drift tool set to complete this properly. As far as the seals, you can service those with common tools. Please comment if you have any questions on the topic, or need any help IG: OnlyyDans
BMW e36 Oil Pump Rebuild s/m5X
zhlédnutí 4,5KPřed rokem
This video shows how to fully rebuild the oil pump on 6cyl e36's. All m50, m52, s50, s52 engines are the same process. The rotor and gear are specific for late models vs early model cars. You CANNOT use an s50 gear and rotor in an s52 pump, and vice versa. The obd2 cars have a rotor that is thicker than the early production cars, thus not allowing it to fit the housing. If you have any question...

A slight jump into the assembly of the BMW s52 engine. Just tried to throw some pointers here and there, so it's not super in depth. If you guys have any questions or want me to dive deeper on certain things just let me know. I have a zf 5spd and oil pump rebuild coming soon Appreciate the support. IG: OnlyyDans

هل بلوك s54 مصنوع من الحديد؟
So glad I watched this, thank you! What do you use to clean up the whole transmission? Mine has dark stains all over the casing.
Great job
Good stuff brother. Video is well put together and instructions are clear and concise 🫡
Hi there can u remove the oil pump from the bottom just remove the pan
I’m loving the vids. A few constructive criticisms. If the camera focus is giving you problems or anything just keep filming without mentioning it. If it rly bad you can refilm. Also a voiceover or music over the time lapse would be good idea. Loving the rebuild content
Nice work buddy🎉
Hey boss. Awesome videos. My wrist pin won’t fit my rod small bore. Does it have to be pin fitted at a machine shop?
Such a clean build. How long ago did you stop making watches and start building engines? Enjoyed watching the craftsmanship and learned a bunch along the way. Respect!
lol I’ve never made watches, but I’d love to one day. I truly appreciate the support. Im glad I can teach and help you guys out. Thanks for following the build 🙏🏼
Clean
Excellent explanations. Is that normal wear (glazing spots) on cylinder walls?
Thanks for the video, just waiting for my S54 coming back from the shop, these videos will be very useful.👍🏼😊
Glad I could help bro 🤝🏼
Clean work as usual.
Hold up hold up correct me if I’m wrong but arp clearly states in my instructions to not have any oil or lube between the washer and head. You can put the lube around the threads and above the washer and underneath the nut so that the nut can slide with ease over the washer but we want the washer to have friction against the head and not rotate hence the reason for not having any oil under the washer. Please tell me what it says in your arp instruction manual as of date? I know they always be changing up the procedure so if I’m wrong fill me in bud…..
ARP is forever changing, but as of the date these were ordered (April24) the instructions say to lubricate the washer, nut, and stud. If you watch, I only put a small amount anyway and after the first toque sequence most of the lube gets pushed out. I’ve installed headstuds both ways and have never had an issue of the cylinder head lifting. At the end of the torque cycle you’re still yielding the same clamp force with or without the lube on the bottom of the washer. If you look at the washer during the second torque cycle it usually stops moving too. Some applications have a stamped washer to lock into the cylinder head, and my assumption is that if ARP wanted the friction then they would apply that to these kits. Either way, End of the day it’s negligible. But I follow the updated directions (except on m5X engines lol)
@@OnlyyDans let’s not even begin with my frustration related to the m5x topic 🥲 it’s a love hate with that one! Especially when I did a perfectly normal head gasket august 2023 and just before Christmas I received an early gift, now mine you from the time I rebuilt the engine till this point I’ve been giving it hell all summer long and not a single hiccup or sign of issues. I specifically I recall a shift in the weather that took us from normal to winter here in Los Angeles and this is when i saw something my eyes could not believe. Gasket failed again and coolant is seeping outward between the block and head and what’s mind boggling me the most is how it isn’t mixing this time and how in hell the leak is under the intake !!!!!! In all my years of working on these 6cyl engines I have seen them piss oil and coolant regularly due to old age and heat deteriorating the gaskets sealing capabilities especially around the areas of where the red thin sealant resides on the gaskets mainly nearly the exhaust where temps are the hottest. But never have I seen a head leak under the intake and defy the laws of physics and gravity. I’m so pissed because I went the extra mile this time and even sent the head out to the machine shop and did arp too. Normally in these situations when the car shows no signs of overheating like with two other s5x engines I’ve had over the years. I’ve literally just done gaskets slaps at home and we are driving by night but this time I said to myself she’s a keeper let’s not be stupid and let’s get the valves cut and surfaced decked. And then this is the outcome of me taking extra measures to prevent such a failure LOL I hate these old bmws
@@OnlyyDans but real quick regarding the bolts and nut on the head and torqing more great and the more sliping of that washer against the head will yield and much higher overall torque load. We don’t need washers bitting into the head and cause unforeseen deformation of the mounting points over time 🤷♂️
🔥🔥🔥
🤝🏼
Where did you get the crush washers for the plugs on the oil filter housing? I am having trouble finding one for the largest plug
I just measured the stock gasket and ordered it. I probably have the dimensions in my notes if you need
@@OnlyyDans Yeah I measured mine what came out, but I cannot seem to be able to order it anywhere, would be nice to know where you got it from.

great video as always
Appreciate the support g 🤝🏼
Hey Dan I think I remember you used to use POR-15 on engine blocks. Did that stuff flake as well?
I did use that, and POR15 holds up very well. POR sells specific Engine Paint, but I’ve moved away from the glossy finish to try and make it look more flat black like a factory engine would be. I didn’t see any signs of flaking unless the area was improperly prepped
@@OnlyyDans ok thanks for the info!
Elite dinner time CZcams material. Good stuff. Making me want to S54 swap my car lol
Love to hear it brotha 🤝🏼

@@OnlyyDans quick question, how did you clean up the coolant passages? I saw that the blocks coolant passages were still rusty after the machine shop and then suddenly clean?
Where did you get all the parts
are you sure the dot of the outer rotor goes inside as you say!! thanks for the video
What shorty headers are those?
i want to rebuild my m50 oil pump where do i can order the parts?
6 speed gearbox is different
S52 in an e30.. geesh great combo!!!
I like the header. Might be the next thing I do on my M.
Post the tools you use
What spacers did you install?
I think welding the nut solves the problem
What you tell to oil pressure when shaft falls out? Of course with welded nut 😄
Recommendation: The spring go first then the plastic cover and pushed down with the handle of a hammer until feel flush with shock
this channel is understand af thanks for the tutorial helped a lot
Thanks for the video. Just helped me with my install.
Hey man. Can you run 275/35/18 without a spacer. I installed mine today but I felt like they would hit the spring so I added a 10mm spacer
How are you likeing these any issues
What are the part number for the gaskets
