The DBW throttle at slow speeds is a serious touchy twitchy PITA ! I just bought an 1800 mile used 2019 790 Duke. For everyday commuting, leave it in rain mode. you're welcome.

I love how happy you are riding it lmao, my driving school uses 790 dukes and MT07 but i've only ridden the Yamaha, going to ask for a go on the KTM next time :)

I'll agree with the reaction but the mt09 has a special place in my heart. The thing is still mental just like the 790, just in a different way :)
Haha, this reminds me of my first time riding the Duke 790. My reaction was pretty much the same as yours. Had an 890r as well for a while. That thing was insane.

Got some MT07 simps. The MT07 is not in the same league as the 790 or 890. He said the audio was off bc he didn’t have an external mic.
How would you compare mt07 and this bike? I’ve had ktm motocross bikes from a 13-18 years of age so ktm has a special place in my life, but I love how the mt07 is as a whole too
KTM has better tech, much better handling when riding fast, better brakes, suspension and tyres. Mt07 sounds better, has a smoother throttle, better to mod and is MUCH cheaper to own.
@@maxvv when you say MUCH cheaper, how much? Baring in mind I’ll be using car to commute so the bike will just be joy ride once/twice a week kinda thing. I’ll be doing all the maintenance myself with oil change / filter change. Thanks for fast replies! Mint video!
Ah, then it'll pretty much be the same. Basic maintenance will cost the exact same. KTM parts always come with a higher price tag, just gotta cross ur fingers that u never get to that point 😅

Hell yeh, it's a great bike, manageable and very light. Perfect for a first big bike imo

What's the aftermarket exhaust on this bike? The sound is so sexy!!
Is there any problem with air after 100km? I mean can you travel 250km distance with this bike or need an adventure? Actually i am between this and tracer700. I prefer this ktm but i don't know if i can go long distances trip with this. Help me please!!
It has an ixrace muffler only, sounds pretty beefy. I've done London to central Germany and back again around 3 times on my mt07, that's roughly 1000km each way. It's pretty windy and the tracer will defo be better for London distance but the 790 can easily do it aswell if you can tolerate the wind 😅

so i bought a mt 10 which supposedly has an auto blipper but how does it work exactly? it gives a little bit of gas when u shift down without the clutch to match the revs?
Yeh since its ride by wire I shoots a bit of fuel in to match the engine speed, but not sure if it disengages the clutch cus I know you can downshif without the clutch. I do it all time at lower speeds cus I don't want to risk mincing the clutch plates or gearbox.
@@maxvv thanks for responding! yeah as far as i know it has gotten an ecu flash to have the QS work up and also down without using the clutch, but i will test it out once I get the bike :D
@@VaidenNo worries man, i usually respond to all my comment. Just try to use the quickshifter at higher rpms cus its they are clunky at lower revs. Ride safe my man!

Just pin the throttle and shift up
You hold the throttle wide open and just use the shifter, or the other way, let go off of the throttle and kick the gears down.
