The Great Library of Alexandria holds many mysteries. How was it founded? How was it destroyed? And what was actually in the library? The loss of the ancient knowledge in the library has been described as the biggest in history, with countless scrolls, manuscripts and theses assumed lost in the fire. Works from ancient world are countless and it's believed by many that losing this knowledge set humanity back centuries. But how true is that? Do we have any idea why it was destroyed? And do we even know what knowledge was held in the library?
