Just an absolute beauty! A wonder to behold! The astonishing thing is, it looked like she was just gliding. Klaver is wonderful but she couldn't even come close. Somehow though, Lieke inspired her to run her best to a WR time. She seems as light as a feather, but the power is there to reach amazing levels. Well done! Good luck in Paris and the rest of the tour.
As some commented, Femke was just coasting. Maybe, if she gets challenged for victory in Paris ,we might see some facial expression on her.

It seems the key to her speed is maintaining her form, while the others are flailing at the final meters she looks like she's just jogging. Congrats Femke, lots of PBs for the others so it was a good race.
No, her legs were falling off, so i would say, that mentally she is just as much of a powerhouse as physically. Nothing jogging about it, believe that

She’s not even breathing heavy at the end, runs very calm , great form , looks like she’s not even trying and gaps everyone else
She said in the interview afterwards that it is not easy. She always is in a lot of pain during the last leg, but she learnt not to care.

Feel like I've watched Bol dominate so many races over the last year and a half plus since McLaughlin-Levrone's last 400mH race. It almost becomes hard to imagine Bol ever taking silver in an individual event again.

@@NaturalMay561 She switched to 400m for outdoor season last year but only raced a few times and pulled out of the World Championships with an unspecified injury. Now she's focused on training for US Olympic Trials and the Paris Olympics. She also published a book and was doing some publicity for it. As long as New Balance is happy to keep paying her for the occasional record-breaking performance, she can really compete as much or as little as she and her coach want.

Not possible. Her WR is indoors. Paris is outdoors. Two different registrations by World Athletics. Furthermore she doesn’t run 400 dash, but 400 relays and 400 hurdles. Love your enthusiasm though.

Wow, wow, wow is all that can be said about Femke at the present time. No athlete is ever as happy running second as Lieke is. The Dutch 4x400m team are set to be sensational in Paris.
It needs 4 to rumble and a healthy Femke & Lieke. If the other Dutch ladies in the 4x4 pool progress further then rhere is that Gold oppertunity but if US bringing their healthy in form topguns Sydney & Britton together with Holmes, Diggs and or others than Houston the Dutch have a problem. 😅
@@QuamfyMarc The Dutch are now World outdoor and indoor champions, so they are the team to beat. All the USA relay teams stuff up their baton changes on a regular basis. The USA women no longer have the great Allyson Felix.
@@JohnHF1957 True but Felix only had 49.2s PB 400m outdoors which slower than Femke Indoors WR. But 1 relay back in the day Felix splits fastest time (post 'steriods' era) of 47.8s I believe. Thats crazy why here PB outdoors isnt mid 48s. Strange!
@@QuamfyMarc Indoors there is the bonus of protection from the weather and a little boost from the banked track but the downside is more turns, not running the whole race in one lane and no long straits to build up more rhythm and power. Running indoor 400m is similar to running 800m outdoors. Felix's 400m times are slower than Bol's indoors because Felix came to 400m (other than running the relay) later in her career and so had less years of specific training whereas Femke uses the flat 400m to boost her speed for the hurdles.
Femke’s final 200m is as fast as her first her speed picks up, she stretches out so smoothly!👍🏾😃

Except for the relay this was the last time we have seen her run the 400m flat this year. It is now on to the 400m hurdles outdoor.
Sadly we will not know how fast she is over 400m outdoors
