The 2023 LA Car Show had a nice exhibit from Lexus showing a couple GX550,
One Trail Rated and the other standard, and also a done up LX600... Color Choice Though?!?
But NO 2024 Land Cruiser!!
They said there are only 3 in the country and all were at photo shoots?
Photo Shoots? Shoot it at the LA Car Show, one of the biggest car shows if not the biggest on planet earth. Oh Brother...

Like a lot of other comments that I've read, the 2023 LA Auto Show is not worth the money or the effort to go to. Your video affirms the rumors and saves me a trip. Thks.
Same. I missed the GX at fashion island, im sure as hell not driving to DTLA and paying to see it 😀
Thanks for the coverage. I skipped so many opportunities to see the LC250 because I assumed it would be at this car show. I'm so disappointed.
In this crazy world, this new 2024 4cyl actually identifies as a Land Crruiser... But when you look under the hood, you can see that it is not.
I was gonna go there just to see the new Land Cruiser First Edition, but I am glad I saw your video and saved me from wasting my time.

As an LC/LX (100-200 Series) owner for many years, I'm thinking of getting a GX for the first time ever. I've been a sub of yours for awhile and I think you should put a video together about the GX550 and how it compares to the LC/LX. I trust your opinion.
2024 GC vs LC? 100%
I am awaiting delivery of a 2016 Built LC. I will do a comparison with a 2008 LC, LX570 etc.. But a GX550, I would need to get my hands on one to do a comparison. I think the build quality is better in a 200 series than the GX550, but also 2 different price points when new, and a used LC 200 is about the price of a new GX550.
@@CruisingTheLand Wow, that's shocking to hear the built quality isn't better for such a new product. I have a newer 200 series and I think the build quality is good, but I wouldn't call it great. The materials are tough and the leather is soft but wears like iron. I want to at least drive the new GX to compare. Looking forward to your built 2016.
Something has to differentiate the lx from gx. Lexus is cannibalizing its lx sales at this point. I dont believe the build quality of gx is comparable to an lx even with new gx. Im a gx owner x 2. I've seen the flex on lx600 without the kdss of gx550 and its still very impressive. I do not believe the frames and turbos are the same as people on CZcams have indicated without a direct visual inspection. Lx600 should have beefier components
@amittks LX600 and Land Cruisers Always have beefier components. however frame wise they are all using TNGA-F
but different components attached to that frame.

Actually supply has caught up with demand on lx..some dealers around here have 5-8 lxs on lot. I believe Toyota probably hyped the supply issues. Waiting for electrified version of lx. I'm not sure why people think gx is somehow now better than an lx. Where is market for lx? Gx is mover for lexus and probably 2nd most sold for them.

GX550 looks fantastic stock. The LX600 can look sweet with a bunch of mods (in terms of offroad looks). Interior of the GX550 is pretty sparse and plasticy though.

I should roll up my 1995 FZJ80. The people they have on hand there would even know.. I had to go through 3 levels of people there to ask where the Land Cruiser was.. They know nothing...
