    A thing about the scanner room, stalkers have like a 'den' where they put there scrap if you put cameras near a stalker, the stalker will bring the camera to its den, then if you check the beacons on the mini map to find the cameras you can locate and collect all the scrap metal the stalker was hoarding!

    I have multiple bases around subnautica each one has a purpose
    Red grass bass is the first base I made purpose as the main hub
    Observer base purpose to observe life forms equipped with the egg collector prawn suit and a scanner room the find creature eggs put them in the alien containment unit and study them.
    Destroyed lab base. The precursor diseases research facility has a base their as when I am exploring the area I have a place to hang back as my cyclops got stuck and I had to take out my seamoth to explore the area
    The reaper base
    Equipped with the reaper killer(a seamoth made to kill a reaper)
    This base is near the arura with the purpose of studying reaper leviathans the front of the arura is a place where these leviathan class creature normally hang out
    Total number of reaper kill this base has made-2 (dame reapers and their phase glitch)
    Lava zone base- this base has not yet been constructed on the accounts but I haven’t made it to the lava zone yet but the plans are simple have a base powered by heat with the purpose of have somewhere to stay while in the lava zone
    Void base- not yet constructed but plan is simple use to study ghost leviathans in the void
    Rocket base- this base (located near the gun) is used to store all the materials need for the rocket. Main purpose a place to stay while gathering stuff to make the rocket. The rocket will be called constructed near the gun because. That’s is just because I can.
    Those are most of the bases for now......

    Added detail regarding power transmitters: they have a maximum transmission distance of about 100 meters from transmitter to transmitter, however, there's a maximum transmission distance of about 25 meters from an actual power source to the first transmitter in line.
    Also, keep in mind that power will always transmit to the nearest power receiving object, not always to the nearest receiving object that makes sense. So if you end up having a problem getting power to follow the path you'd like it to, try rearranging your transmitters in the trouble area or consider adding a couple more of them to make the power gaps smaller. Your power will always follow the path through the smallest gap it can.

    You could also go ahead and build them more compact, you don't need to go ahead and build corridors and vertical connectors, just go ahead and build them right on top of each other or the side. You can also go ahead and build hatches on top and bottom of any corridor. Never ever build any foundations, they will go ahead making it harder for you to go ahead and be more precise. This are just the basic tips, you could also half-way deconstruct every base part to make another base very close without snapping.

Things are over a full bioreactor power cap each and take a single slot so you can run in and stock up in like 5 minutes then have a power source you only have to refill occasionally with the fuel right there.

  • @Dan0RG
    @Dan0RG Před 6 lety +33

    The thing with providing power to large bases: thermal plants and solar panels don't cut it. If you're going to have more than one moonpool, a water filtration machine and external lighting, you're going to NEED a nuclear reactor. Trust me, it doesn't consume that many reactor rods, and, even if it did, the amount of power it produced from them would last for days.

    • @deno202
      @deno202 Před 6 lety +2

      Данила Ветринь Actually you don't NEED nuclear. I have big base, that works on 3 solar, 1 thermal and 1 bioreactor(using hatched egg, best are Ampeel eggs or marblemelons). Creating stuff in lifepod. In base I have moonpool, battery recharger and 2 waterfiltrators and i dont need nuclear, cause i have over 1000 power. 2 moonpool is just for fun, u dont need both. And how many rooms you have does not effect on power drainage at all.

    • @Dan0RG
      @Dan0RG Před 6 lety

      They might have removed the room power consumption (I remember it being a thing in the Ghost Update or something?). And do you empty your filtration machines? When it's got 2 bottles in it (and 2 salt), it stops consuming energy.
      Though, I have a base running on 2 bioreactors with no external lighting, 1 moonpool and a filtration machine running periodically, and it seems to be just enough. I also have a pipe network... I wonder if it uses power as well.

    • @deno202
      @deno202 Před 6 lety +1

      I guess they did, cause power drains only when something is working. Filtrators works almost every time, I take bottles and salt, make salty fish, and go for 30-40 min exploration for stuff i need. by the time im back, not even half energy is consumed. And hatched animals give you LOTS of power in bioreactor.

    Great tip: For easy energy and food and Water, visit the floater island, you can look up where that is if you don’t know. And once you do that scan the multipurpose room and the planter box, which are in the middle of the island in a tiny broke down base. Then search around for a lantern fruit tree, then collect four lantern fruits, if you can’t collect four Judy make sure you can get at least one. Now you’ll have to collect all bioreactor fragments. Now build the multipurpose room and build the planter in it and put the bioreactor in that room or another multipurpose room. Then plant the lantern fruit in the plant pot in the planter. Then they’ll grow and you’ll have a lot of access to food as they heal +10 food and +3 Water. They grow very fast and you’ll never be able to collect all the fruits if you have four trees. The planter box should be a ale to hold four. Now put them into the bioreactor and keep doing that to power it and you’ll still have tons left. And the lantern fruits take up four inventory spaces which isn’t the most ideal for carrying but when they are in the bioreactor they last 4x as long as most stuff.

    Best place to build is on the island right in the middle of it, due south of the Aurora. I've had this game for a very long time and I don't build anywhere but there, all of the end game resources are below that Island. Also the Emperor Queen is down there you'll find out who that is but let's just say you need her to beat the game.

    The bio-reactor is the best energy source because if you have a harm that uses lamp fruit it makes power problems a joke the solar panel is restricted to the surface the thermal reactor will only make you build in certain zones and the nuclear reactor eats rods to fast so I highly recommend the Bio-reactor

  • @GlassDeviant
    @GlassDeviant Před 6 lety +22

    What is the point of showing people the multipurpose room at the start of the video? People who haven't played yet can't build it until they get the blueprint, and people who can already build it already know this stuff. I also don't understand why you showed the thermal reactor without pointing out that the spot you placed it in was barely useful at all due to not being anywhere near a decent heat source like a black smoker or a thermal vent. Additionally, why the hell would you build a hatch in a moonpool? The moonpool IS a giant hatch, effectively.
    P.S.: Foundations are useless except as a platform for external grow beds.

    Actually, every non-glass corridor has exactly 6 "access panels". 2 - 4 of the walls are used to connect it to other compartments, while the rest are for windows, reinforcements and living walls, but what you didn't mention is that you can put a window on the roof. And you can place hatches on all 6 "access panels", including the floor.

    You need 2 titanium and 1 lithium
    Hint to get lithium and diamond early:go inside the hill near the quarantine enforcement platform and you should find shale outcrops and lithium
    Tools required:flashlight seaglide or seamoth to do it also a beacon to mark the enforcement platform

    I remember when I put a hatch on top of a corridor, put a cyclops right on top, and exited through the hatch. I clipped into the cyclops, since hitboxes seem to be disbled during cutscenes, and I was swimming in my cyclops, and literally swimming in the air.
