If you guys would like to see Ed’s reaction to his Golden Nugget, click here czcams.com/video/ryNMsRsxv4Y/video.html. We will be having our own exclusive “bonus” video dropping tomorrow July 25! You’re not going to want to miss it!!
👍
Already seen it, seen Robbie's latest video, I was looking for your version of it. I did notice in Matt's video you did arrive fashionably late. Just in time for the food.
Looking forward to your video on the reveal. All the people that put in time and sweat to complete the rebuild in such s short period of time was amazing.
You should all be proud of the expertise, effort, and love that was devoted to this adventure.
Ed's disbelief that his "old" Golden Nugget looks like it just came out of a dealer's showroom is a testament to the love you all have for him. May you all be blessed with the deep thanks for allowing all of us to share in this endeavor with you.
Fab Rats, you guys did awesome on the Golden Nugget
Just watched, everyone did an awesome job.
I think it is so appropriate that the Fab Rat Bone Yard is on a trail, through a fence, through some trees, across a creek--no bridge, just wet rubber--and vehicles placed sporadically around the old pasture. Americana at it's finest! Jace noticing the difference in the weight load was somewhat impressive. Teenagers aren't usually paying that close attention. Good job. Great fun all of you working on the wrecker. "Ben, eat this."
Is the boom really lighter than the bed, or is it just where the weight is displaced?I'm beginning to wonder why they didn't just remove the bed from the wrecker and swap the C10 cab onto it
@@bougiebum9138 the main attraction to their Tacoma is because of its size if they swapped beds it would probably add 2+ feet of width
Some unsolicited advice for all of Pauls' kids: Enjoy every minute of the time you spend on these adventures. Your dad in-a-sense sacrificed himself, his job security, to come home and spend time with you. I grew up at dad's shop but looking back didn't appreciate all I had. Again...enjoy every single minute and don't be in a rush to "go do something else". He won't be around forever. Being able to do things yourself instead of hiring someone is such a great feeling. You are getting the BEST education possible, for free!
Yesyesyesyes!!!!!!
Ben has been such an incredible addition to the channel, Thank you for all of the family entertainment you give us.
It's in they're blood. Looks like their kids suffer from the same thing. Even little Graden. Sorry if I didn't spell his name correctly.
Nothing wrong about wrenching on stuff and making things run.
Grandpa sherm must be smiling.
Ben is awesome.
Like him more every video
I was smiling the entire time when I watched Ed receive the Golden Nugget. You guys are great friends!
I just retired, I love yallz videos! Paul, Matt & Robbie give us all something to look forward to every few days, It is so nice to see Real People in Real America.
Sunday fab rats and coffee
So glad Ed has a new set up. Thank you & god bless everyone involved for your hard work.
Good morning fab rats crew
YAY!!! 1st!
Good day everyone
When working in the gravel, Cardboard is your best new friend. it works great to lay on.
Love that you folks show the everyday struggle of 99 percent of us who love to wrench! When you wing it you have to accept that Murphy's Law will haunt you and you guys embrace that 100 percent! Thanks for all the fun!
Just hit me, miss Randall's commentary, funny and has just the right drawl to do it. Hope he is doing well at his new job just up the road.
Good Sunday morning!
Happy Sunday from Connecticut,...the armpit of New England...
Also from New England, but I look down on all new England cause I live in Maine
This is like a tow trucks dream.
A tow truck, recovering a tow truck to help build a tow truck..
Paul, having Ben join you was a great idea. He knows a lot about mechanicing, and is fun.
Yee...
Haw...
It's dad's upgrade tow truck day Sunday and maybe Golden Nugget reveal day,
And you people made it happen, just like you always do!
I absolutely love watching the brothers work on their dad's old truck.
I think it is a wonderful thing you all did for Ed. Paul you and Matt and others have the kind of shop I can only dream about. I live my dream thru all of you, thank you all and may God bless you all for the kindness you show
hi yes the Rat rod tow truck is back
When y'all are done with it, send the rain to central Texas. We need it, bad! Keep the videos coming. Y'all make some of the very best content available.
Ben's sense of humor and knowledge of vehicles is a potent mix. Put that in the same shop with Paul, and stuff just gets done.
A little bit of my humor...
The Rat Rod Tow Truck screamed, "I had one ball!!! And you cut it off!!!"
No one salvages anything anymore. Always appreciate these ingenuity! Nice Job!
MORR, Fab Rats, & LAB, my entertainment, since I DON'T watch TV anymore!
Thanks to you fine folks for all the quality G rated entertainment!
Good morning to the rats nest here, who else is dying for the reveal video?
no kidding!!!!!!!
Meeee
I'm going to get my mom to watch it. Loves Suzuki(s) VENTARA mom is closer to Ed's age and don't do youtube, just like Ed t
Definitely yes!!!!!
Me! Absolutely! Making everyone in the house watch too!👍
Damn Paul, your kids are paying attention! That little note on rigging the boom with an additional strap shows that it is not just all fun & games. These guys learn by figuring stuff out and watching how their old man is doing stuff. I'm really impressed! 😎👍
Yes!!!!!
Sitting here in Victoria Australia with the heater going at 11.30 pm watching fabrats also waiting for Matt's off road to post the nugget reveal
Nugget reveal awesome. I am only @200 miles from these guys. Good Day from SLC UT.
I almost cried as you guys started to destroy that iconic Holmes 1200 Commander wrecker. The 1200 was one of the first (the other was a Century unit) hydraulic light duty wreckers to hit the market in the late '70s. It along with its smaller brother, the single winch 1100 Commander were instant successes. Whoever built that GMC/Holmes combination knew what they were doing mounting the wrecker on the medium duty chassis made better use of the capacity of the 1200. Most were mounted on 1 ton trucks which could be over stressed under hard use. I wish I'd found that unit, I would have restored it. It was at one time someone's pride and joy. Chrome push bumpers are not standard issue.
I don’t know but I have watched a lot fab shows and I really like Fab Rat’s BEST ! Thank you!
I love the way you toss Michelle, and the kids around in the Jeep, reminds me of my Dad how he like to drive us out of the fields and through the creek , You are a amazing guy to watch, me and my husband enjoy you show, I also would like to thank the others who help you on the Gold Nugget they did a great job
Hey Fab Rats, the tow truck is taking shape nicely. I like watching you guys work, it makes me smile, haha. Thanks everyone.
I really like the old “squarebody” Chevy trucks. They bring back a lot of memories from the 90’s
Loved all the self engineering Paul put into the golden nugget. Don’t think there’s not much Paul can’t fix or repair especially if he can sit back and think about it for a bit. my dad was the same way, it always amazed me growing up. He was never scared to tackle anything. I’ve seen him show engineers how to build or fix things that they were lost on. Paul reminds me of him. Great guys. Love all your videos. I know there a lot of work but wish there were more of them. Thanks
Paul and his crew done a spectacular job on the Golden Nugget.
Michelle no worries I love chocolate as well.
I love watching the independence and confidence those kids are getting there.
Paul and Michelle are grade A Super parents.
Glad to see you're using the new Randall engineering "soft contact" device when moving that tow truck. :) And Ben, I feel your pain. My brother would kick dust in my face when I'm under the vehicle too. Keep up the great work!
I watched the GOLDEN NUGGET reveal and it brought a tear to my eye. You guys are fantastic at selflessly giving your all to help rebuild your "FAMILY MEMBERS' dreams.
Your Dad would be so proud !
Tic talk is a direct line to the C.C.P. and they have no problem sharing your information.
Maybe we’ll see Paul again today at the Nugget reveal!! Paul and crew did a fantastic job reviving it.
Morning to the Fab Rats Scurry Squad
Piitter Patter let's get at'er!
good one
Good morning fellas. Thanks for the constant content! Have a blessed day!
Good morning !
Gonna be awesome Paul. I love watching your videos. Michelle is a great editor...you need to give a her a BIG pay raise.
I watched Matt's video about reveling Ed Golden nugget. Thank you guys for doing that i almost had tears when he got to see it. I wish i could meet everyone one of you guys and give a big hand shake. Maybe I'll get lucky and win the car because with my bad back I'll never get to come out to where you live. I'm hoping the doctor can get me some relief on the next surgery because after 5 surgeries already this is my last hope and prayer i can't keep going with this much pain and yes i know there are people worse than me but 22 years of extreme pain I've had enough. I know God has a plan for me i just hope he shows it to me soon. Sorry for going off on this i just don't know what to do anymore
That's the thing with gravity... whatever's falling, always stops falling when it hits the ground. The one truly dependable thing in this world.
Awesome, that truck is giving a sigh of relief with all that weight loss. Ben is an awesome addition to team.
"This is how I grew up buddy, in the dirt" @6:35 Paul has always been livin the dream
A great way to start my Sunday, Fab Rats video and a mega coffee 🫡
Paul when you get shipments in large cardboard boxes keep some to lay on when working on gravel three benifits softer, your cleaner, and extra spill catcher. Awesome video as always! ✌
When I was a teenager, my buddy across the street, Lenny Rivas, was given an old Chevy pickup to fix up for his 1st vehicle to drive. So I helped get it fixed up and running. The bottom was COVERED in grease, oil and dirt. In some areas a few inches thick. To replace the engine and trans with wrecking yard parts, we had to scrape off lots of that gunk to get to bolts. Lenny wanted to use our dad's creepers. We were working on dirt and gravel in their back yard. So the wheels on regular creepers wouldn't work. Lenny's dad brought us some big cardboard boxes to lay on to work under the truck. Being Mexican, he called the boxes "Mexican creepers". I'm retired now, and still use Mexican creepers. Every time I do, I think of Mr. Rivas and the things I learned from him.
That yellow GMC looks to good to part out!!
What a awesome job you all did on the Golden Nugget along with everyone else that worked on it. The wrecker is coming along nicely. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment. What a wonderful family!
Are you going to put the Holmes light bar on your tow truck
I feel like crap but now I have something to enjoy... Thanks guys
Thank you , Paul, Michelle, Ben and family for sharing your love of Ed with us :)
God bless you ❤️
Yah! Good morning
Gotta say, I love the yellow tow truck, with it's chrome grille and grille guard
Can't wait for Ed's surprise. You guy's are great!!!!!
A 4’x8’ sheet of cardboard is the best thing to have for working under a truck. They are smooth for slipping around and help keep you clean. You can get them at lumber yards. The ones they use to cover plywood.
Watched MORR first today and what an amazing build y’all did for Ed. Thank you for lending your talents and gifts to helping out with Ed’s gift.
Many contributed their talents to this, yours set the stage, and the foundation for all others with which to build upon.
Chad was amazing, as was Robby and crew.
Everyone contributed something and the end result was nothing less than incredible.
I’m convinced these fab rats guys can build anything
Holy Tow Truckers! It takes a tow truck to pull a tow truck to build a tow truck! I love IT!!
Thanks for bringing us along to see the adventures of Paul.
Now it’s starting to look like a wrecker. The hard bit will be working out where all the hydraulic hoses go, I really like that boom; it is going to be impressive. I bet it is a relief (in a way) to have finished the Golden Nugget and what a wonderful job you and Ben did on her. Stay safe, see ya next time and thanks for the update.
Coming along nicely.... Rori is sweating a little....!!!!!
The tow truck competition is going to be awesome...!!!!
Man it’s gorgeous out west, I’m an Ohio native. When I was younger, and still had some family around I used to go out to Colorado with my grand parents. Man I miss them days, the memories, and the views are heavenly.
Definitely nice to have your own boneyard to source parts from when you need them
Bens a great help and adds a lot to the video.
It was great to see Ed’s face when he saw the golden nugget . Thanks for letting us share in watching all your hard work!
the golden nugget is awesome but I for one am STOKED for more tow truck content!!
Hi Paul I hope you all are having fun and enjoying life....
Cutting off some more parts and pieces! Here is Michelle with some more goodies!
The amount of square body’s you find is amazing. I’d be so thankful to have one of the many you find. All I find in the north east is junk
So my dad had a minor (if there is such a thing) heart attack. I kind of bullied him into going to the ER because I’m a truck driver and wasn’t home to drag him there in person. He was so grateful he wanted to do something nice and ordered me a fab rats t-shirt. I just wanted to post how awesome and nice your shirts are. Thanks for posting! I’ll keep on watching!!
Friends,
You know he is having fun today 17:35 with noise like that
Thank you
Paul, your brother is a great addition to the channel.
That old tow truck didn’t look that bad. But not what you wanted. Fun to see it when done.
Hunter, you tried to look out for Paul when he wanted the tow truck to roll into the rollback. Now your looking out for Ben, while he's lifting up the boom. Hunter the new safety officer lookout Paul and Ben....🤣🤣🤣
I thought For Sure we would get to see the reveal today! 👏👍🤗
Heck'. I LIKE THE YELLOW TOWN TRUCK as it sits in the "bone yard". THAT is a neat set up to start with.
@16:45... Love the straight pipe on Grayden's mower! @17:35... Paul showing off "The Guns", lol! And... I've watched Matt and Robby's videos; but I can't wait to see your Golden Nugget reveal video!
Thank you all to the hard work and dedication for Ed. I loved all the videos and I'm not going anywhere. I love the videos and the family atmosphere you all present, and the fact that your boys seem to be able to fix just about anything they set a goal to on their own and with help. That is most definitely parenting done right. Thank you all again.
Mr Paul is such a awesome man
New towe truck is looking Amazing.
It's kinda cool that the rollback has become a workhorse again. I think it's proving that it is better than it's parts.
I know Poppa Sherm's truck holds a place in Paul's heart, but this tow truck is purposes built, lights and hydraulics. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
When you have boys everyday is an adventure. Enjoy while you can.
I just think you got the best truck of the batch can't wait to see how good you do in the competition 😉 😏 😜 😀 😄 🙌
Thought sure I'd already seen the hydraulics being removed from this truck with the boom already missing. Still enjoyable content. Thanks for all you do, Michelle, in keeping us entertained. Liking them subscription numbers going up like that.
Time warp, I was thinking the same thing. Isn't it backed into its spot up a little bank. Still a great video.
Yes, they controls were removed, I think Friday. Don't recall the boom being removed just yet, but it may well have been when they took out the controls.
It's video, things will not always be in sequential order for a variety of reasons, but yes, that almost threw me off too.
This is showing the rest of the stuff they took off.
They did mention int the controller vid that the boom one will follow shortly
So confusing!
I'd love to see you guys have a 8-in thick concrete pad out front with a roof over it so that you can work outside and in the shade.
This is going to be a great wrecker when is done. You guys can build anything. 👍👍🌟🌟❤️❤️🙏🙏👍👍
The off-road tow monster is coming together 👌
I made this suggestion to Rory a few months ago. Build bolt off over fenders for the rear that can double as sleds for under broken axles etc. Instead of trying to use old car hoods or something else
Great video ya'll!! The wrecker is comin together. That rollback is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy ya'lls family
Love seeing all the old Chevy trucks. 💪🏼
Good morning! The reveal video was great. Utah is a great state with the biggest hearts ♥️. ❤️❤️❤️🐀’s
So hey Paul and crew when y'all gonna build that K10 into a giveaway truck
I hope you get to be there for the Nugent . Chad and family and all you guys had a real hassle swapping and fitting all the different components..Robbie is awesome for doing the body. It's was the best total restoration in the quickest time ..all you guys are awesome..and your family . Thank you for the hours of enjoyment..
ohh the nugget teaser. you all are killing me. I can't wait.
