Take a shot of Brennivín every time Hrafna:
- Eats lamb
- Spills her drink
- Drops her food
- Takes a shot of Brennivín
I love that you keep it real and include the clumsy moments in your videos:) Very relatable lol
You forgot every time she says delicious
Those are some great places. They take their cocktails very seriously in Iceland.
Yes indeed. And they are awesome.
From this video, I can gather that the trifecta of Icelandic food is fish, lamb, and alcohol
It is. And such good food quality. Fresh and clean flavors.
Perhaps in Order: Alcohol, Meat & Dairy. LoL 👌🏾
Seems like I like fish but I'm not fond of it not cooked
Most definitely lol. I went this past summer and that’s what I gathered. The alcohol makes the amazing experience even better lol
@@insane_spooky I went in the summer as well. I'm a Christian, so I don't drink alcohol, but the lamb and hákarl were good along with appelsin
Man, Tapas was playing the song of my people. Wepa!!! Much love from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷!!
You need to thank your mom for being such a good sport.
I like the music in the background. 5:08
Wow. I have to say, you Icelanders eat really well. All of that looked so darn good.
The biggest problem I had eating when in Iceland was the prices. The food there is _very_ expensive, so I couldn't really get the full experience.
I actually went to Fjallkonan and got some fish and chips, which were kind of disappointing, to be honest.
I also went to a restaurant called Salka Valka, which is downhill along the main road from Hallgrimskirkja, and got myself a dish of plokkfiskur. That was really delicious.
If you are going to Iceland, definitely go with the intention of spending big on food. It is worth the experience. I tried to save a bit of money and it was just terribly depressing living off of snacks for a week lol.
Should have dined and dashed, lol
What is the cost of an average 3 course meal in an average class restaurant in Iceland? I’m going next month and before we signed up we didn’t know that the food is very expensive. 😅
@@MeowMeow-vo9cj I'd say $50 minimum at an ok restaurant.
I didn’t have a problem you just have to research on the cheapest places to eat sure it’s still expensive but it wasn’t anything crazy just got to find the right places
I like the outdoors and I like food...I'm sold on Iceland.
No post in 3 months? Hope you are well Hrafna. 3 months would be one hell of a hangover
To be honest since I moved to Scandinavia I got super interested in Nordic culture and what is so funny for me is that they consider themselves as "Reserved" but they are the most friendly extroverts ever :D
We loved Tapas. The minke is the best thing I have ever eaten! Missed the others but will hit all next time. Next year! Only two weeks back home and I already miss Iceland. Something connected for me.
My favorite beer is brewed in Akureyri. Einstök porter is the best porter that I have ever tasted.
I want to go to Iceland, Ireland, Scotland and Norway so bad. These are all places my ancestors come from. Would be nice to follow in their foosteps.
min 11:15 Icelanders listening to salsa🥰
Are there latinos here!??
Y yo se que te va a doleeeeer!💃🏻
Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Hope u guys all fine
Greeting from Vietnam 🇻🇳🤗

Iceland is on my bucket list of places to visit! Everything looks so good. Thanks Hrafna, I hope to visit Iceland someday soon! 🤞😊🙏🇮🇸
What seems great about Reykjavik/Iceland is that there is actually culture and style there. Almost everywhere I’ve ever seen that is quite isolated like that is almost rural to the point of being country/simple in a way that makes it kinda boring if you are young or want to go to clubs etc. Anyway, very cool.
i want out the usa and go live there . i just cant stand this place anymore , iceland seems heaven
This video made me soooo hungry but it is actually almost 11 o' clock at night in Greece! I should be sleeping not eating! Thank you for your wonderfully delicious recommendations!
I truly wish animation companies would hire you as a voice actor because you have the most amazing voice!
So glad there was skyr all over the place. I'm craving for that stuff!
🦅... Learned to Love ❤️ when there in 1966! What u get in USA 🇺🇸, labeled ‘Skyr’ is Sweetened for ‘Murrican tastes! 👌🏾
I was in Iceland from June 7th to the 17th 2021. I ate at Apotek sea trout on a Himalayan salt slab and it was Amazing. Reykjavik Kitchen, Fjarhusid Amazing lamb burgers and chops . It was all Really good. I am to try the restaurants you recommended on my next trip to Iceland. Dillion Whiskey bar was amazing 👏. 200 different Whiskeys and very friendly people. I was 8 of the 9 nights there.
Everything looked delicious! Thanks for sharing

You are absolutely stunning here, very nice style - and your mom as well!
This is a GREAT video. It was so cool to see these foods. I'm in NYC which is a big foodie place, but I have to say the presentation in Iceland was very impressive. Now I really want to travel there!
Tasty looking food and beautiful video Hrafna I liked this video yes!!!!👍😅
Where did you go we miss you?!
Everything looks really good!! I hope I can make it there one day...
I loved this video Hrafna! I’ve never been outside the US yet… I’ve grown up in CA my whole life, and I’ve always wanted to make Iceland the first place I visit ! Your videos do such a great job introducing us to all of the interesting culture, food, environment, etc. sending lots of good vibes your way :-)
I subscribed you because you are too Good with all your accent and you are really informative you have great knowledge regarding your own country and you know the taste of all people residing in Iceland and also few countries you roam till now.
Okei, you made me wanna go to Island again! Beautiful country with amazing people! And beautiful nature for sure :)

Takk Hrafna. Thanks to you I did go to Sæta Svínið and eating the 7 courses to experience Iceland 🇮🇸
Happy to see your video again, I've been a subscriber for a while now. Not as hot there as it is here in north Carolina USA. Thanks for sharing your story with us that watch your channel. Outstanding job young lady. Well done.
The way your nose tip moves when you're enjoying your time!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Going to travel to Reykjavik next week !!!!!! Yay
Kaelan Mikla addicted me to the Icelandic language and the accent of icelanders speaking English, but oh, i love the channel!!
I will have to try and remember all these (or just recall the video) - Iceland is one place I would love to visit some day when all the craziness going on right now comes to an end.
Excellent & lovely recommendations. Greetings from Chicago.
You are so gorgeous when you get dolled up.
I have been following you for a long time.
Your content is the reason why I keep watching.
Smokes puffin is on my bucket list
Amazing food and so many choices!!! I would have to skip a meal before and after to handle this food volume : ) … and my favorite quote from your narrative is this, I absolutely love it: “This (the drink) is not good (for health), but a must if you want to feel like a Viking” It is the best!
Nice video ..watching all the way from India ..
I just ate dinner, but I'm hungry again ;) All dishes look amazing!
Me too. I was salivating when watching it 😁
Thank you for the information, you do your country a great credit and explain things very well, I hope to visit one day soon. Flights go from my home town in the UK 🇬🇧 😊 good luck with your channel
Look I am going in vacation here soon working my fucking ass off to make some money
Just get in there and enjoy
Soooo jealous!!!...Love seafood of all types, as well as lamb...I would fit in perfectly there ❤😊👍
Not gonna lie, the food looks delicious but the proportions aren't up to par with what I'm used. How much are you spending on a typical sitting?
I'm pretty sure those aren't entrees. You're supposed to order ~2 or 3 different dishes per person, and sharing is encouraged.
If you're used to American portions then you will be very disappointed haha
@@vinslungur Portions at fine dining restaurants in America are pretty small too
@@vinslungur at fine dining portions are very very small compared to a diner or fast food place in America
I Went to iceland last month, I tried to eat icelandic food as much as possible, unfortunately not many places where available for that outside of the reikyavik... still I had a nice time!!!!
Since 2008 I was every year for about 2 or 3 weeks in Iceland and the best Dessert in my life I had at the Salt Cafe in Egilsstaðir.
Cause of Corona I wasnt there since 2 years and I miss Iceland really hard. Love the Country and the people - Wish I could speak the language and live there ❤️
I love carpacio, raw beef ❤️ !
I love your channel.
Omg all of that looks so good, fræbert 💕🇮🇸🇨🇦💕je elska þig 💕 more more more. Please do videos of tourist locations or even puffin shops to see what kinds of souvenirs are best and where to buy them. Takk Ruth vesturisleningur fra kanada sorry my spelling is probably wrong. Lol
Wow, the food looks beautiful and delicious. I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

So how many banks do you need to rob to afford a place like Apotek?
How often do Icelandic people eat out during a month? is it like close to daily or more a festive thing when the pay check arrives or something in between? eating out while nice can get very expensive to.
As far as I experienced Icelanders don't eat out often at restaurants bc it's too expensive
Also, my icelandic teacher told me it's even a thing to eat at Ikea on Christmas bc it's cheap 😅
Sure this is just what I came across and doesn't apply to everyone ☺️
@@ArnoldHopfenstrudel I have heard it is expensive on Iceland but never been there.
We usually go to fast food places because fine dining is expensive. The restaurants I eat at usually cost me like $20-$30.
@@vinslungur that sounds manageable i currently have $1100 to live on each month and that should cover rent, electricity, internet and food, so eating out is a no no.
@@BerraLJ It is expensive it hurts!
You're not the only one that hate beer I hate it with a passion!
Looks great places I going to go when I get there!!!
Hrafna, you are absolutely stunning. 😍
Honestly really hope I can afford to travel to Iceland with my boyfriend 1 day food looks amazing the city is beautiful and I would love to just go on hikes and walks around the country 👌😀
Good stuff...thanks
Beaverton Oregon is checking in
I would love to see a guide to vegan food in iceland! They had so many options and few know about that!
Hrafna, if you turn off the full time autofocus on your camera it will stop going out of focus while you film yourself. Love the channel :)
I tried some fermented shark. Such a delicacy!😌🦈
That looks good
Once I go to Iceland I'm def trying these out but I also wanna go to another restaurant I heard a lot of good stuff about: Tommy's Burger Joint!
Great video! Loved the "I don't like beer" faces 😂♥️
Hii
I was in Iceland some weeks ago and I missed these places but will try them the next time. I went to others like Ingólfsskáli (at Ölfus), Greifinn (at Akureyri) and Grillmarkaðurinn (at Reykjavík). I did see Sushi Bar but I had recently come from being a month in Japan and honestly was tired of so much sushi lol.
Would love to try them all when I visit
Can u do a video about vegetarian options? Ik it sounds silly, but like a challenge?
Exactly what i was thinking.
halló Hrafna! Ég vildi bara segja að ég elska myndskeiðin þín💕
My favourite restaurant in my hometown in northern Sweden was also called Apotek(et) 😊
"ek ann þér"!!
