    This was a time when celebrities were more accessible and down to earth. Of course the general public were down to earth and not celebrity crazed either. They had a job , family and friends to attend to. There was no 24/7 television. Media actually had to shut off (close) for the evening. Your phone was not a hand held entertainment device. Jerry was robbed. In the last episode, his 'nest' should've matched 'sat on' since, during the subsequent tiebreaker in this episode, his opponent matched her 'kicked out' with 'washed out' and 'drummed out.' If Jerry had been given the same allowance for his 'sat on,' then he would've have won in the second round.

      The assumption there is that it was welcome. Richard Dawson always creeped me out kissing everyone, but apparently they asked each woman before the show and if they said no, he just glossed by the moment. Very few women said no. I never really noticed so much with Gene Rayburn. It would certainly go be nice to still live in a world where you could just read the moment and worry about being wrong if you actually were.

      You have to realize abortion had become legal in Jan 1973 and the pill was already around since 1960. People were uninhibited it seemed after that. Legalizing abortion changed the world in America a lot IMO. This would not be on TV in 2021(with the innuendo and calling people Dumb Dora, etc. They would be called out on a lot of things here) with the world having gone PC for several years now! "Allen Ludden knows". Check out the 'chain letter' episode of the MTM show, for this quote from Lou Grant (the adorable Edward Asner). An in-joke, as MTM had Betty White (Sue Anne Nivens) who of course was Allen Ludden's real-life wife.

    Looks like Richard is having another one of his feuds with Brett and Charles. Richard commented on their answers saying he did not understand them, and he said he was going to talk to them about their answers after the show, but Brett says she isn't speaking to him!! Hmmmmmmm....

    • @michelekate8567
      @michelekate8567 Před 2 lety +2

      There was friction, jealousy between Brett/Charles and Richard...esp between Brett and Richard. She seemed jealous most contestants picked Richard so they finally implemented that stupid wheel before he finally left for Family Feud. Honestly thought Betty gave the best answers but she obviously wasn't a regular panelist like the other 3. If I was going to try and win money I certainly would not try to match Brett. She often gave some kooky answers.

      @@michelekate8567I don't think she was jealous but Richard could be a jerk to her and Charles.
