I see lots of comments from people who also use Decoding the Unknown to go to sleep. Any chance Simon wants to start a bedtime podcast? Literally I just want 45 minutes of Simon going on tangents about random things with some chill music in the background. I think it would be a hit.
I sleep better without the tangents. Him reading a nighttime story book would be nice. His voice is very soothing when just reading script.
@@leighblackler1157 he should do both, one with rambling for the people that want someone else's random thoughts to be louder than the spiraling carousel going on in their own brain, and one for people who genuinely just like his voice and would like something coherent and not all over the place to fall asleep to. I'd belong to the former group, but that's probably because I have ADHD and I feel very comfy with these all to familiar tangents, lmao.

So idk if it’s just me. But I got the ADHD real bad. And I can figuratively hear two conversations at once. There is something about Simon’s voice, cadence, delivery than just kinda works with my brain. Meant as a huge compliment. My man makes great background noise.
Interesting tidbit, some peiple think in concepts and Pictures, others think in sentences and hear the inside voice and a very small portion, mostly neurodivergents, can think in both options simultaneously (for example I can read something, which is the voice thinking and simultaneously write something different because the letters trigger my picture thinking with their shapes)
You can literally hear two conversations at once because it is true and actually happening. Figuratively means its just an example that is meant to illustrate an idea or concept. Like a figurative weight being lifted from your shoulders just means you've relieved some stress as opposed to a literal weight which would be a physical object

I used to love these until they started using a certain music in the background. Sounds like a bunch of bells being rung. It's high pitched dings and will wake me up if a newer video comes on. One of the best ones was the Dyatlof Pass mystery. The guitar is very pleasing.

How to make this last even longer: Go to the speed settings, and select 0,25 speed and then, I personally use long episodes to sleep and fall asleep better and faster, but thats just me.

To make it even longer, so its easier to fall asleep to.

Thank you for these. They're great for work, start it at the beginning of the week and by the time I've paused for everyone's bullshit all day long I can usually make it last 2-3 days. Add that to the 48hrs of content Simon updates each day and we're good to go for all of eternity.

3: The Au Ag mural. Gold (Au in the periodic table), and Silver (Ag on the periodic table), are both still mined in Colorado, and have been a major industry here for over a century. Go figure why they are prominent here.
