Actual lawyer here. In my professional opinion, the ambiguity in the task supports the position that all of you can succeed separately.
As a DM I would agree, task doesn't even hint that only one should win so rules as written seem to be rules as intended

As a professional dnd rules lawyer I agree on that part, but the task said they have to win "more than 3" to succeed, and they all stopped at 3.

The funniest part is that it's not the number of winners that's the issue with how they read the wording, but rather that it says "more than 3" and none of them got to 4 wins.

"Anyone can declare a round of chicken as long as it's something that can cause a damage". This is a definition of round of chicken, and they definitely got damaged. Funny thing is if they were more careful that could get away without any damage at all. They don't need to get the damage, only be in the situation where it CAN occur (rather than MUST occur).

There was a minecraft survival thing with german CZcamsrs called Varo. Its basically hungergames. In Varo 2, 3 and 4 there was one that died in all 3 in less then 20 seconds :D

Task Idea: Don't Get Wet
You cannot touch any form of water for the whole session. Another Player will have a task that tells them to pour a bucket of water on you. Neither of you will know who the other is. If you fail your task, they automatically succeed, regardless of if it was their doing. Succeed by staying dry until the end of the session.
Etho should get the water pouring task, nobody would suspect a thing

After Grian + Etho hard task finished so many off - if hall monitors call you 3 out for not having "more than 3 wins" and you have to all get a hard task, it may well end the series.

Task idea:
You must take everything anyone says super literally and answer any questions super ambiguously for the entire session.
The bigb
Task: "Ghost Whisperer" - Players who have died recently are allowed to come on the server as ghosts. They can move around and speak privately with one another but they can't place or destroy blocks, and must remain on mute to living players. Your task is to convince ghost players to follow sabotage another player's base while staying within 10 blocks of a ghost player for at least 10 minutes. You cannot inform the ghost players that you are doing this, and must pick another player's base if you are caught or called out.

Task ideas
(Red): cause another player to take damage in 5 different ways
(Normal): Throughout the session you frequently forget or get confused as to what life series you are in. For example, if you’ve experienced betrayals in past life series, act as though they just happened. If you had past partnerships/teams, use this. You could also use past bits/running jokes. Additionally, you could bring up things like the boogyman, time running out, or soulmates as if these are currently in effect. You must engage with other players while experiencing these episodes. If someone mentions that you are bringing up old events, act confused/disoriented/in denial.
(Normal): You can’t use the letter M
Task idea:
You get two task books. One book is a real one, and the other is a decoy. Your real task is to give the other book to a random player and have them help you out with whatever the fake task is. Note: that random player cannot be a red. The decoy book can be a random task that involves another player to help. If the other player does not help you complete that decoy task, you fail.

Task idea :
two players must switch places, teams, skins and all for the whole session, they cannot break character, their goal is to make the best impression and they get judged by everyone at end of the day,
or one player must copy everything another player does, including skin, accent and task, which they have to guess and succeed before them.
You must roleplay real life, you must eat regular food, carry water bottles to drink, sleep at night for 8 minutes, and poop, you must act injured when taking damage, and most importantly, file your taxes.
You are another players babysitter/bodyguard, you must stay with them at all times, keep them out of trouble and prevent them from taking damage, you must give your food to them and entertain their whims, they can ask to borrow your stuff. You may show them this task.
A bit extreme but I think it is a good idea
Task idea: Be the angel on someone's shoulder (convince them to do something generous/heroic). Later in the session, be the devil on their shoulder (convince them to do something mean/dangerous). If you can't convince the person you choose, you may try with someone else.

How about; you must convince any 3 players (not just yellows) that you've already done your task and they must ask what your task was. Then you must make up three different fake tasks (one for each) based on the interactions you've had (with/around) them in-session, and convince them they were real. (This would be especially good if you could do this against Scott as he is the most skeptical, and the most aggressive guesser.)
Task idea: You must step (within 10 blocks away) out of five different conversations and perform a one-minute-long soliloquy. Any player trying to guess your task must specify the word "soliloquy" as well as the number of required monologues
Additional info: definition - an outspoken monologue on the conversation's topic.
Ex: "To be or not to be" from Hamlet, Tevye's soliloquies from Fiddler on the Roof
Task Idea: A three player task
Player 1: You're only allowed one piece of armor for this session. Player 2 is your bodyguard. If you survive the session without dying, you succeed. If you die, you fail. You must interact with other players. Your task can't be called out.
Player 2: You are Player 1's bodyguard for the session! Find and protect Player 1. You are allowed to attack other players only to protect your charge. If your charge survives the session, you succeed. If your charge dies, you fail. Your task can't be called out.
Red Name: You have 3 attempts to eliminate Player 1. You fail if your target is alive by the end of the session.

If you lookup to the task, it defines what "chicken round" is. External definition doesn't matter if task gives you one. The task was not "look up in the dictionary". They even could have gone with Scar's idea where damaging actual chickens was a possibility and it still would match the definition given in the task

Task idea: Convince a person they are wrong about something that they are completely correct about, it can be anything game related or player fact related
one task I think would be hilarious for Impulse to do is: Impulse has trouble controlling the volume of his voice. Having to talk in a high voice, a low voice, a whisper, in a yell and finally when someone questions him he talks normally. This goes on the entire episode!
Task Idea: Talk in rhymes for five minutes, it must be with people present.
Well, at least we've moved on from Jimmy dying first to Jimmy dying in the episode with the first death.

I like it. It's similar to Scar's hard task from E1(come up with nickname and have people to use them), but at the same time it allows way more creativity as it's not limited to names.

I love how none of these guys understand the concept of chicken. It's not about chance i.e. who an enemy attacks, it's about being in equal danger and seeing who bails last. So the spawner was on point but the mlg would have involved repeating it until someone stopped, or going underwater and seeing you stays under the longest etc.

The only requirement imposed by the task is that the competition CAN cause damage. (Not even "must" cause damage). Anything other - imagination.

Despite the fact that I skipped the AD itself, that had to be one of the most creative sponsor transitions I've ever seen.

You definitely all succeeded. You all went above and beyond what you would have had to do for the task anyway. Tasks could have instead been something like "who can stand in powdered snow the longest". Since you already agreed to rig the system, you could all have agreed to leave before taking any heart of damage. Two people would leave early, and the third would win, still without ever having taking damage. You could have done a similar thing with time spent underwater. Again, risky, but without anyone actually losing a single heart.
Sadly the win condition was to win *_more_* than three rounds, they read it as to win three so next session could be interesting if they all have to re roll
I mean hopefully they shouldn't need to as they basically did the secret, they just misread a small part, but could be funny if they do

Task idea: You have mastered the art of misdirection. Whenever you see someone with their back turned to you, you must sneak up on them and hit them once with an empty hand and yell “DISTRACTION!” at the same time, before running away. If a player notices you as you sneak up on them, you have to continue acting like you are sneaking up to them even if they’re watching you. If they run away, you must target them until you successfully pull it off. You must do this to at least 10 people.

Task Idea: set up 3 death traps in random people’s bases, and one must work by the end of the session. If it doesnt or they discover it, you fail.

There weren't many flowers in that scene though--the movie posters and cover art show a lot of yellow ones, but in the movie itself it's mostly grass. Isabela from Encanto would have been a much closer hint.

If you do any of these actions without being told that is one strike, you have 3 strikes, once you do your 3rd strike you *fail*
Obviously, they didn't jsut play games of chicken, they played other games. But the gist of the task was to play a game with each other that involved damage, and that they did. So I feel like it was all in the spirit of the task, and it delivered good content to watch (which is the ultimate goal here). So I would call this a rightful success.

After a failed red task : you must kill *player* in 10 minutes after the break. *player* cannot move outside their boundaries (bases + walls). You may bring up to 2 other red names with you. *Player can also bring 2 teammates names*
Green/Yellow player : after the break, *red name* will spend 10 minutes trying to kill you. During this time, you may not leave your boundaries (base + walls). You may bring up to 2 yellow/green names to help you during this time. *Red name* may also bring 2 red names
Point of this is to use their alliance because that part has been seemingly missing in this series so far.

Task idea, you need to have a yellow name guess that your task is to follow around a player for the whole session. If they guess that that is your task then you pass, but if they guess anything else then you fail.

There were a total of 5 deaths, and 4 of them belonged to the 3 players that went out before the end of this session.
Lizzie was knocked into the void thanks to an enderman. Mumbo fell in lava then died alongside Jimmy to the combined force of the wither and warden. RIP the fallen players. Good news is Jimmy wasn’t out first, though his celebration was short lived.
Although I agree you could all win, not all the games in my opinion counted as games of chicken. I would define a game of chicken as moving towards damage and whoever evades or gets damaged least wins. I fully understand there are only so many ways you can do this however, so I accept the outcome.

Secret Task Suggestion:
Make a fake task book and "accidently" throw it to someone else. If they tell you to fail, you succeed, but if they call it out for being fake, you fail.

task idea: make two correct task guesses. if you correctly guess a task this session of a yellow, green, or red, they fail that task when you cause someone to fail a task, you must show them this book

Task Idea: Put pressure plates with hidden pistons that do absolutely nothing around their base and make them paranoid.
Red task idea: Get someone to gift you a heart then get their hearts down by 2.
