not seeing this in the theater is probably my biggest movie regret. i thought it looked so stupid and i only just watched it for the first time in december. jokeâs on me.
This is one of the best directed movies I have ever seen. This movie is crazy - literally crazy. George Miller must be insane to do something like that. And I say that with the highest admiration.
Yeah, saw it in an Imax theatre 3 times with sound maxed, it just put a stupid green on my face ear-to-ear beginning to end. A masterpiece, worth waiting 15 years for.
@@rofyle I know it's a joke, but this got me curious so I watched the movie again, which is about 1 hour & 53 minutes long w/o the credits. There are three major action sequences: the one that starts w/ the Buzzards and ends in the sandstorm is about 10 minutes long, the next against the Rock Riders that leads to Splendid's death is also around 10 minutes, and the climax where they all race to the Citadel is approximately 17 minutes. Other minor action scenes such as the opening chase where Max gets captured and the fight between him & Furiosa only last a couple of minutes each, while the night time sequence involving the Bullet Farmer isn't continuous action and resolves within 6 minutes. At most, that's about 47 minutes of action. Honestly, Black Hawk Down felt more nonstop.
I did not watch this in the cinema because I didn't want anyone besides Mel Gibson to be Max. My biggest movie regret ever. Tom Hardy is a worthy Max. Insane movie.
I saw this movie in theaters for like 3 bucks thinking it was going to be one of those so-so movies. I remember there was like 5 of us in the theater since it was in the middle of the day during the week. No one got up during the movie, no one took a break. Like everyone was so entranced by this movie with the effects and the sound in the theater was so glorious. It's one of my favorite movies.
This movie was probably one of the best movie theater experiences I've had in my life. I mean, I've seen a lot of good movies, a lot of better movies.. but this one is definitely one meant for big screens.. the bigger the better. It's a movie theater movie and an intense one at that!
One of the greatest action films ever made. Most of it was one long car chase. Furiosa is the MVP. The Raid is the next?! Hell yes. Keep it up with the awesome movie reactions.
one of the few movies I would say is worth seeing in 3D. It's the Die Hard of the 21st century. I watched a few of your reactions and I think you guys have really thoughtful comments on the movies, I just wish you would have better audio.
This movie is touted as a benchmark for practical filmmaking and it is because I've heard over 80% is all real, but people forget that there is a lot of CGI in this movie but it's done so flawlessly you can't tell just like in The perfect Storm, Jurassic Park, or The Terminator. Freddie Wong did a whole video on it, that the best CGI is the CGI you never see, and they only used it on the stuff that was really there amplify it, not replace it, but there's some ignorant people out there that think there's no CGI in this movie at all and this is an anti CGI film.
Can you believe that with the exception of Charlize Theron accidentally smashing Tom's nose, there were ZERO accidents or fatalities during the making of this film? Also: George Miller gave us "Happy Feet" and "Babe: Pig in the City". Talk about talented!!
Y'all should definitely play the game if you like the Arkham games, being alone in the desert with your thoughts and no music is pretty chill. Plus the fighting is fluid. the World building is fantastic like of course with the drums and the flames because it is an old-school Calvary Calvary charge with the cars as horses. there's so much noise and smoke and dust you can't see what's going on so they have to use the drums to communicate and send signals and the guy with the flamethrower is giving the orders and directions for where the horde will steer. And that stuff was real and functional,
I went to go see this movie by myself and I think I was in silent awe the whole time! So much of it is done in camera and I loved every second of it!!!
Brought me back to simpler times in a way. It's an old school super creative action epic with modern visual storytelling. 4,7/5, one of the best films of the 2010s.
If you like mythology then consider that 4 of the characters symbolize the horsemen of apocalypse. God (Joe), Famine (People Eater), War (Bullet Guy - forgot his name) and Death (Max). There's a reason Max runs from the living and the dead.
I've only seen the first one and this one and I will say that it was slow it felt like a completely different genre. what you think of as mad Max with the post-apocalyptic trucks and all that stuff and all the black leather, doesn't seem to happen until the second movie which is why people consider it the best. There's a lot of tension and build up in the first one, which seems to be paid off in the sequels and this movie is no exception, they tried to do it as accurate to the original as possible and basically did one of the few reboots done right
Great reaction, thanks! Only it was really hard to hear you and your friend over the movie. About half of what you had to say wasn't audible. Please correct microphone for the movie reaction.
Yo Jimmy!!! The Attack on Titan final season trailer is finally here!!!! And it looks it's not going to be done by the same studio. Please do a reaction!!

The shot this movie as old school as possible, I guess you could say it was George Miller's ultimate dream because they finally had the budget and technology to do what he's been planning since the 70s, and I'm glad that the movie was stuck in development hell for like 20 years, because the time was never right to make it, in fact 9/11 contributed to it not being made apparently because they couldn't travel to do anything.
One of the best action films of all-time. The only movie with very little story that I liked. If Miller makes Halo, it'll be good, because it has almost no story at all
Hells yess, gonna patreon for this reaction! Unrelated, dudes like Jimmy's friend have a childish/simple quality about em. They look for characters with Harrison Ford-like arcs where they start strong and in charge and end strong and in charge (what a good story!) and they get tuned off by characters who aren't a classic principal trope.
couldnât agree more. a mad max fury road movie reaction is always worth a couple dollars. the comments from his friend bothered me a little too. i guess mindless nonfiction movies with little to no world building is whatâs best for him which is sad. heâll be missing out on a lot of great content just because heâs unable to suspend disbelief.
The only thing wrong with this Movie was the lack of Mel Gibson. Get's a solid 9.5 out of 10 just for Him not being there. Tom Hardy, while great in His own right, is a pitifully SHITTY substitute for the REAL Road Warrior.
The action was great in the film, but that's about all there is to it. Everything else was hollow and meaningless. The plot still is just going from point A to B, then from B to A.
