  • This week I installed a 2000 watt Renogy inverter because my existing Victron 1200 watt inverter could quite not handle some higher loads I need to run a small hot plate. While I do prefer Victron solar equipment, I don't have enough battery bank capacity to handle their higher watt Multi-plus models. In addition I attempted to stop leaks in my garage metal roof. I got everything done I set out to do this week. The second mobile home is totally down now and we are moving on to the last mobile home demo (not shown in this episode).

I have mostly Victron energy components and I am shocked that they do not make a invertor above 1200W for a 100-300A systems. I have a 300A battery bank and use a AIMS 2000W inverter. I am in a pickle, do I continue to use a 12V system in my off-grid cabin or do I upgrade to a 48V system like many have? Your rat's nest is looking better. It is so hard to do proper cable/wire management with so many wires. Raspberry Pi!!! I knew I liked you for a reason. I am also glad you showed the difference just cleaning your panels make. You had a 100W increase.

Thank you. Yes, I am moving to 48v on my new house build. So much more efficient even for wire size. I like 12v however because it is less likely to kill me :) but now that I am learning more and I can still do 12v from 48v with a step down converter, 48v is my future but I still just like 12v too. I will keep 12v around but the new house will be 48v for sure. :). Take care.
