- Very rusty lock restoration. Padlock of the 19th century. This rusty old padlock was found near an old house. There was a key inside the lock, but that key was from another lock. I decided to restore the padlock. I removed the rust and made a key. Now the padlock works. I hope you liked my restoration.

Dude, poor the cold bluing agent into a separate glass container and dip in that with the acid brush. Going back-and-forth to the main bottle contaminated your source. You would've gotten way better results with it. I've turned steel midnight black with the stuff.
I love it 😍😍😍😍
The long gone blacksmith that made this beautiful lock would have tears of joy if he knew is craft were to be treated with the respect, love and care you gave it
You are doing gods work
Bless you
My son was hoping to see the sandblaster , but he was happy when the blowtorch came out . Nice work... a lot of work, but you saved a piece of our past. Thanks.
Thank you! Haven't bought a sandblaster yet. Now the electricity is often turned off, so I use hand tools more.
@@ReXtorer Sorry , we watch a few of theses channels , l always respect the hand work that goes into these projects. I have been bringing cardboard home from my second job to help out the wood burning stove we installed this summer , preparing for the worst. Keep the faith , thank you for your channel.

Our past?
I can only begin to imagine what went through your head as you discovered that it was the wrong key! Congratulations on going on and remodelling it to operate correctly. A magnificent restoration all told.
Thank you!
I don’t think the Lock Picking Lawyer could have opened this one. Great video and I’ve never seen so many cleaning/rust removal methods as you employed here. It’s also interesting to see that no lubricant was used on these locks. Thank you for posting
🎉
"And with me today i have a can of WD-40 to aid in unlocking this very rusty padlock of the 19th century-
LPL would accept the challenge
Satisfying! Well done.
😂😂
The revelation that the key isn't for this lock at all killed me! Nice work! Very cool to see electrolysis in a restoration video.
Thanks for ruining it.
amazing to find that the key wasnt actually made for this lock. someone back in the 1800s mustve tried unlocking it with the wrong key by mistake, found that it got stuck, and tossed it, now hundreds of years later youre here restoring the thing, and making that damn key fit lmao.
I was fascinated the entire time. I love seeing history restored like this. To think someone spent just as much time making the lock. Working on something for it to just rust away for hundreds of years. Until it was lovingly restored back to what it should be. Great job!
Also the key being wrong was fantastic
Wow amazing video
👎
I absolutely love that you show us the process step by step. No fake sound or cheesy music. Subscribed. ❤
I understand your passion and curiosity to bring this antique padlock back to life. Your hours of work demonstrate your love for these things and I admire that. Well done sir.
Fantástico!
Where are you from
This made me like old locks way more than modern ones, not only are they cooler looking but they also make very nice locking and unlocking sounds.
Unfortunately they are less resistant to the more modern ways of getting past a lock.
As a registered locksmith of 30yrs this video was very mesmerizing. Great job 👏 we’ve had a couple of these cross our paths at the shop and they are a testament to quality workmanship and functionality
Another excellent restoration! Old locks have always fascinated me, they were surprisingly, more intricate than I had thought.

that’s what I thought too. Didn’t know there were so many moving parts inside.
I'm so glad you kept as much of the original lock instead of just replacing it, it looks fantastic. Nice work with the key, I love the pitting from the rust and honestly it adds more character to the lock.
i’m not glad he did

Just amazing!!! Keep preserving the history !!
How do you…. IT IS JUST A BLOCK OF RUST!?! Great job dude
As a fellow lock enthusiast, I love seeing old crusty locks being restored back into a fully functional lock after countless years sitting around gathering rust and corrosion.
Another fine rextored video mate :)
This is how it's really done...

I do too, but this lock is nothing special and can be brought for like 5 bucks nowadays
@NuthinNew I'd have to say it's more of a nostalgia piece than anything.
Really shows how simple and rudimentary the older generation locks were constructed.
It's not about the monetary value of the end product.
Хирург
I think this was the most satisfying restoration I've seen you do! Incredible!!!
I didnot know there were so many parts. Thanks info. Granny 90
It's very impressive how you could put that back together after having a pile of parts, especially the spring location. Another great restoration, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for watching my videos!
Yeah, i wouldn't doubt that this padlock once locked up an old textile mill on a river, or a local shop, office, or tavern on a cobblestone street. Perhaps the lock to a large chest that contained valuables. Or maybe just a lock on a barn. This guy has a fantastic gift for restoring history, OUR history, and that is marvellous. 👍
This wasn't that bad honestly ❣
Patients is the key to a good restoration
FANTASTIC, SUPERB. You are very Talented. That was pleasant to watch.
I really admire your patience....very fine work.
thank you!
People like bad things, which spread negativity. Why don't like these kinds of videos, which show Hardwork+strength+passion+calmness? I love this hard work.
I have studied Material Science and Engineering.(It is not what you do,it
is how you do it).The Lock was a perfect example.Well done.
Beautiful! From start to finish.I feel inspired… Thank you for this step by step restoration. I was riveted by your work.
I love your cinematography. Restoration videos are my top 3, and I gotta say, you’re also at the top! Well done, sir!
Good work .
Amazing job
Wow! Kudos for the sheer amount of work & time you put into this
Our family antique lock and key 😂😁 . Blessings
You sir are a god among insects. It’s a compliment.
Awesome job. I very much appreciated that you left it in its raw state and kept it original. This lock as a story.
brother is just great! I admire how much patience you have! simply gorgeous!
Atlast an original artifact restorer.....🤩
You gave a rebirth to this lock..🥰
Always amazes me that, no matter how rusty the metal is, it becomes so shiny and beautiful once the rust is removed.
I know you spend any hours on these restorations, but could you give us an idea of the kind of dedication to these projects by telling us about how long you took to finish what you do? Honestly, projects like this seem "impossible", so giving us an idea of your time spent could inspire some of us not to be daunted by the looks of the project. Thanks!
I was not expecting that! Awesome!!
The pitting that the time has left on this lock gave it quiet the nice texture
When I look at this, I want to try it. But that is only because you make it look easy. The knowledge that gives you the confidence to do that which is both obvious and impossible is empowering.
If this video is encouraging you to try, even on a less complicated scale, then go for it.
Incrível!!! Trabalho maravilhoso!!
Fantastic! I loved watching you restore that lock. Very satisfying to watch it "work" afterwards.
Great work behind this video
*_So interesting. And very impressive cinematography._*
thanks!
Wonderful & great video and I’ve never seen so many cleaning / rust removal methods as you employed here.
Very good ASMR video.
Well done sir!
Some of the most intense work I have watched! Great Job!!!!
If you thought that was impressive.....
czcams.com/video/qixylE1GOWs/video.html
I'm glad to see you did not try to make it look brand new by grinding and sanding all the finishes perfectly smooth. I like the way this looks with the pitting sans the rust. Beautiful restoration. Now you just need a strong box to match.
I’m not sure he would have had anything left if he had tried that!
What's so bad about that shit? It's good
Excellent 😊
your work is amazing.
Beautiful restoration!
I am interested to see how you handle the pins.
The one pin held up surprisingly well, and it was certainly not the style of lock I expected
Cold riveting was satisfying asf. Crazy amount of work!
Another amazing resurrection of history!

I like how the key was in the lock this home time lol!
I bet watching locks like these being locked and unlocked onto old pirate chests would be a nice bit of ASMR.
Excellent job.👍
Nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing is beyond redemption. That includes us, there's restoration in things and people. Amazing 😍
I cannot believe this, that someone went through the trouble. Also I love this video without any talk. Thank you!
Чоловіче, респект тобі за те що так заморочився з ним, та дійшов до кінця!
Nice one , your persistence is amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
thanks!
initially i was surprised you didnt sand it all down to smoothness, but then i realised that actually gives it more of a charm, and keeps its sense of oldness & personality :D
He does very good work but I would of sanded it.
That was incredibly difficult to watch. The process could have been done a lot faster. Got to hand it to you though. I watched the whole thing. Couldn't tell you why. Hats off to you man. You are quite the genius.
well done, that was a labour of love
thanks!
Great job. I loved watching it slowly come alife again.💝🕯🙏
Trabalho maravilhoso!
Sono d'accordo 👍
My grandparents still use those at their cabin! 👍
Soooo satisfying.
Thanks.

Crusty rusty for sure! That looked like a somewhat difficult project but the final result was impressive. I really enjoy your minimalistic videos - smooth transitions, nice even flow, and relaxing - almost seems choreographed. 10/10

Bro took “trash to objects”seriously keep up the good work!
Wow! I was literally mesmerised watching your skill and patience. Loved it!
That's amazing! I has no idea what was inside a lock like that! And thanks to you and your other videos, I was able to correctly call what steps you would use for the rust...but I had no idea you would take it apart. I should have known better.....EXCELLENT!! thanks! ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Thanks!
Вот что делает кислород! Он просто съедает железо! Этот ролик надо показывать в школе на уроках химии.
The Master of Patience above all ! Perfect knowledge of simple household chemicals ! And know-how by excellence .
I love the moment when it spews black liquid and then starts moving. Like you exorcized it, lol.
Beautiful restoration mister well done
thanks!
Beautiful work. I'm so glad you left the surface all pitted - it looks so cool. I cheered when you finally got the key out!
Wowwww.... You are a magician.... I can't stop watching your videos.
