This is the last leg, in the last show actually, of the "I'm your Baby Tonight" tour, this is when she first started having problems with her voice, but it was her last show, out of 55, my goodness give the girl a break, and ASA she was done with the tour she was going to be doing the movie, the tour was supposed to go from the fall of 90, until the spring of 91, after she did the Star-Spangled banner,
The last show from the IYBT Tour was in Paris in October 2. This concert in La Coruña was in September 29.

Whitney was facing some vocal issues throughout that tour and the promotion of the first singles of her third album, but a few month later she sounded perfect and healthy again. I heard she even was told to cancel this tour and give her vocal cords a rest but she decided not to.
I was there that night! This was the last concert of a long tour in Europe, and the only one that was programmed to be aired live on TV! So she couldn't cancel it. It was so brave from her to face it that way, I imagine how painful it was to force hitting so many high notes. The last two songs couldn't be performed, so after ending, she came back to the stage with a towel around her neck, to apologize publicly. Amazing.

Tuvo una lesión vocal. Y ya la voz se estaba deteriorando con respecto a su capacidad natural en los 80. Todavía seguiría impresionando con su canto por unos años más, pero para finales de los 90, la voz estaría gravemente dañada. Eso no pasa de la noche a la mañana. Años y años de sustancias nocivas y un mal estilo de vida causan eso.

looking at how the setlist for this concert compared to the standard ≈19 songs for this tour, I assume they had to cut it the special to under a certain length and took the songs she did best on.

Her voice was so hoarse that she could barely even speak that night, but she still got up there and get it, no matter what, even when her voice started to give out how much she had shut down the song, she just pushed on with the heart of a champion, like her mother Cissy Houston, taught to her to do, she would cancel the rest of the Spanish dates for 2 weeks, and then the Spanish part of the I'm your Baby Tonight for, was actually the the last of the tour, then she immediately went to Los angeles, at the Warner Brothers studio, and began work for The bodyguard, little did she know she was pregnant at the time, which was sadly be one of six of her miscarriages, the last was her son in 1996, and because she was 6 months, she had announced it to the world already, on several talk shows, and interviews, and showing her baby bump off, she thought she had made it over because, all love her miscarriages, usually happen in the first trimester

Sie war großartig - auch wenn sie Kettenraucher war und auch mit ihren Drogen. ( das soll keine Ermutigung sein welche zu nehmen ) aber auch wenn sich ihre Stimme änderte war sie noch 1000 mal besser als viele Stars damals und heute. Und das sie ihre Fans nicht im Stich lassen wollte und das die Plattenfirmen ihr ausgegebenes Geld wieder haben wollten, war nicht gut für sie damals schon und erst recht nicht 2010 die viel zu lange Tour.
Für mich bleibt sie dennoch für immer THE VOICE und keine andere kommt an sie nicht ran - weder Celine noch Mariah Carey ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have ALWAYS loved this concert. This tour was her first (& only until the NBL tour) BIG production. The US economy was in the toilet at the time which hurt the financials, she never did these big tour productions again, which was fine by me. I wish Arista had done a professional dvd of this tour so bad. I always wondered if that was a wig or if her curly extensions were flat-ironed? And why the change in the neckline of the body-suit from the Arista 15 performance? Jeez, I’m weird 🤪
