You know it is a bad day for the NHL when Rich Eisen talks about it. I love hockey and love Eisen. Wish he would talk about it more. But sadly it only happens when this happens

The NHL failed to police the game, so the Rangers did all they could, took it into their hands.
None of that madness happens if Wilson is suspended even one game.

He is worse .. the NHL brass is even however .. I’m not watching hockey ever again .. there goes our great team .. down the drain .. Girton & Davidson drafted some pretty good sized players last year in Cuylle, Schneider Rueschhoff and a few others but for years we didn’t have much of players who could carry the puck well, pass, shoot or score Sssooooo Gorton did just that first & foremost then he start drafting their protectors & in the MIDDLE of the rebuild you must still remain patient, if you start the rebuild you must remain calm and patient til the final pieces are in place then make ur assessment.

Fighting in hockey is not new. None of this is new. Either care enough to develop an understanding of the game or continue ignoring it.
It’s so annoying to listen to people who don’t care about hockey yet presume to dictate what it should be.

For factual sake, TJ was partially correct in saying that Dave Schulz had the most penalty minutes ever. Schulz has the most penalty minutes ever in a single season. For pm in a career Schulz is currently 35th. As far as TJ's overall point of that's how hockey is, Schulz has the third lowest games played in a career of any the top 50 career total pm, which since Schulz played in the NHL from 1972-1980 that proves that's how the NHL was....

maybe if they had taken emotions out of what happened the night before they wouldve cooled off
its overall a disgrace for the rangers, so bad... might be the worst thing in sports this year between panarin acting like a maniac and getting him self hurt and the MASSIVE FAIL in trying to fight the entire caps team and getting totally annihilated, and then getting torn apart in the hockey game... biggest fail trivecta in a long time lmao

The NHL top brass are totally responsible for this. They are not stupid, they knew it would evolve this way and accepted it, even preferred it. They just valued all the publicity, all the pods like this discussing it, just a few weeks before the play offs, more than they value player safety. So when they talk about player safety, just know it’s all merely lip service.

Wilson could have seriously injured Panerin. He was fined $5k. C'mon. He has been suspended before. Reports are Dolan was unhappy the Rangers missed the playoffs and heads were going to roll. This mess just happened to land at the same time. Wilson is a goon with a short fuse. 5 games would have calmed him down.

I like the rich risen show but he doesn't know the difference between a hockey stick and a pogo stick. He could talk about Auston Matthews, American born star, scoring 40 goals in just 49 games. He could talk about the defending champion Tampa Bay lightning gearing up for the playoffs and their cup defense. He even mentions the fantastic Oshie story, that took place in this very same game, for about 2 seconds to talk about a line brawl. This is the only time he will ever choose to talk about hockey, as if he ever watched a game before last night.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious... but it does get non hockey fans more interested in hockey as I didnt know who tom wilson was and I looked up both infractions and watched them. so theres that.... Also would you expect the media not to cover whatever is hottest at the given moment? seems like your upset that he covered it... but if he doesnt cover it... then dammit hockey gets never gets any coverage! haha. your one of those damned if you do damned if you dont type of people huh? Rich Eisen will never win with fans like you.
