fun fact: Snk actually tried getting the rambo licence for the arcade version, but were unable to secure the rights for the japanese release. for the US release, they actually begon nagotiations with the man himself, but these were haulted by other snk staff when the Ikari name started to be associated with the game. for the record, the japanese version of rambo first blood part 2 was called rambo: ikari no datsagocu or something to that effect-it translates to rambo: the furious escape. the final name can thus be considered a remnent of when the game was to have the rambo licence.

Birthday boy was kind of mad as he wanted to just watch Bruce Lee movies all night, but I stood my ground & got his mom to rent it. After the movies were over guess what we all did way into the night? We played ikari Warriors! We all knew that was Rambo on the screen & it was a fight to be Ralf & not Clark. Crazy to think Contra is an Arnold 2 Player game & ikari Warriors is a Rambo 2 Player game!

Though admittedly the Atari VCS/2600 port is rather lacking. It along with the Atari VCS/2600 ports of Front Line, and Commando obviously reused many of the same gameplay designs, and elements though they were given their own uniqueness to each individual game.
