This is a wonderful self kindness and self compassion focussed exercise. Something about the gesture of placing your hand on your heart (or other needy spot on your body) really does make something flow in the mind/body and is wonderfully soothing

Lovingkindness, political world chiefs are tuning in, probably not consciously but through intuitive heart resonance with the vibrations outpouring from the hearts of those using this same loving kindness meditation. The compassion practice of political leaders is deepening, there is a dwindling of the use of weapons as option. The concept is inverted now with leaders trying to be as kind of possible to people, to the environment, and to other cultures.
It is undeniable that the effects of the meditative compassion practice are unfathomable just as the idea of kindness is unfathomable by pure sterile mathematics.
There is an increased use of herbal medicines, of hemp and of hemp fuel, bless it all, this is loving kindness this is a breakthrough of spirit.
