I remember managing to just get into the cinema for this as I was 10 and it had a 12 Rating. Man me and my friend where happy to see the film and it didn't dissapoint.
Hot damn! It's not a toy anymore, it's a piece of art. You could actually stop motion animate this guy.
If you actually pay attention to the movie, one of the wires from the line launcher actually went to the door, and Keaton had to sort of turn his body to face the door. He never went forward

ShredderPrime 003 Here's the thing though I'm almost 40 so I was a kid when Keaton played Batman so that stood out more for me. My guess is you're in your mid 20's maybe even younger so Bale is the Batman you grew up with? Just like Christopher Reeve is Superman to me and anything that veers off the way he played the role and a different suit is bad for me but to My kids Henry Cavill is Superman. It just depends on the generation that sees it.

No one is going to point out that he used the Animated Series theme and not the '89 Burton theme?
As a grown man, I can't understand how can be possible that so many adults spend so much money on buying toys for themselves. Even though, this kidults trend never cease to amaze me, that's why I watch this kind of videos.

This is defenetly awesome version of Batman from one of my favorite Batman movies (other one is Batman Returns). That sculpt is without any doubt Michael Keaton.
I had this guy on preorder for months. And i ran into some money issues I am without a doubt going to get this Batman no matter what it costs. Thanks for the awesome and detailed review.

This is THE Batman, it's awesome. The object you didn't know what it was, by the 9th minute it's the bomb that Joker stuck under the batmobile. Speaking of the Joker, can't wait to see that review!
I think you mean how does he slide down the wire. He doesn't have to , one wire can wind in , and one wire can wind out. Then causing batman to move across, away from one point and towards another.
just to let you know, if you like Keaton as the Bat you will most likely be totally satisfied with this one, or wait for the Returns outfit. I bought mine long ago and yes he was shitloads of expensive to get but i never regretted it 1 bit. Rubber suit but unlike the Batman begins outfit it still has no cracks.

They're meant to shoot out sideways. You may remember it's from the museum scene, just not all the details.
He points it at the Joker's face, it splits, fires out to the sides, the lines tighten and he zips away with Vicki Vale.

It may have been the logo used in Batman Returns however it's the same symbol used for the film and the marketing for the film so it makes sense.
Man you make me insanely jealous that you have this Batman. It has to be the most fantastic version of Batman I have ever seen. They eye gimmick was a little creepy, but still very cool. Love all the accessories! Fantastic review my friend!
The '89' Batman suit design is still the most attractive live-action suit design, just like the awesome '89' Batmobile. One of my favourite 1/6 figures ever, thanks Hot Toys.
The yellow Batman logo that's featured on the stand for the figure to display. You said it was for Batman Returns, however it's the same symbol used in the film's marketing as well as the symbol at the beginning of the 1989 film.
That device that u shoued up is the Line cauncher that was used by Batman when he saved Ms Vail
I got mine a month ago but don't have proper space and glass cabinet to display him lol keeping him sealed in the box for now. Amazing figure review though nice to watch these since I'm not opening mine now haha
in regards to the line launcher ( 10:25 ) he takes a step to the side that the cut doesnt show... but if you look, the background shows that he did take a step to the side and zips across. thats what it looked like to me. I may be mistaken...

Hot toys have some fantastic figures, the Superman, Keaton Batman, Nicholson Joker, most of the later Predator line, the Iron Man series, Thor, Cap, Avengers line...all fantastic!
Loved the review...great to see someone with so much enthusiasm for the figure!
If you cant find some of the later ones (if you decide to go further) look for Red Planet Toys, sometimes he gets them in!

Love the figure, great review. Keaton is/was the best Batman IMO
Just hope the rubber suit does not deteriorate too quickly! Enjoy it whilst you can. Treat it like a statue rather than an articulated figure and don't pose it in the flying pose. This way, the rubber suit may last 10 years before deteriorating.
Murphy's Soap or Mothers VLR ( Vinyl-Leather-Rubber cleaner ) and those parts will last far beyond 10 years.
Yeah its the type of rubber they used it leaks out but not on all of them only a few people have said it did it on theres just worth keeping an eye on it
I actualy prefer the sold batarang, a folding mechanism would have involved some unsightly and oversized hing. The face is amazing, they even got the black make-up around his eyes looking perfect.
Great review, but one correction: that yellow Batsymbol on black background was not Batman Returns. The Batman Returns symbol was the traditional black bat on a white background.

you know, I almost swallowed my gum, when you shouted "tissue paper!" I've seen that batman in my nearest Forbidden Planet and it is epic. But you have to treat the wrist joints with care. They break easy
10:44 It acts as if it was a sling shot. He shoots it and it cling on both sides as he walks back to gain power. Then the strings retract while the tool launches him.
He shoots to the left and the right then he slides to the right. This launcher is also showed in the new Arkham games.
Wow great review, just all around great review. I love how you go into so much detail with the figures and their articulation. If I wasn't broke I'd jump on this toy in a heart beat.

How did you get so much articulation? I had mine in storage for a few years and never displayed, got it out today and when you bend the arms they just flex back because of the rubber suit. Im a bit wary to force it.
In my opinon, the best batman symbol or logo is the Batman Returns, although I do like the Arkham Asylum symbol or logo and one in Christopher Nolan films.
I think those little plastic decals are supposed to go over top of a flashlight
Listen listen, I just checked Maybang and it's prices are pretty much the same they have at alteregocomics. Except at alteregocomics, you get points whenever you buy a Hot Toys figure and then you can use up your points to lower the price of your next figures! That's where I got my first Hot Toys Classic Predator

yes, i understand. don't get me wrong, i'm a hot toys and transformers collector too, and i work hard to save money for these things too. but you have to admit, toys these days aren't the same as the old days. they are much more expensive now, it's not something you can afford even you hard work for it, especially with hot toys. new stuff keep coming and not everyone can keep up. so they have to pass on some figures to afford the one they really like.
Great review (as usual) and I was as excited as you when I opened it :) just 2 things: be careful with the 'fins' on the gauntlets and I think that the stand is backward;I don't know if you're going to use it but just in case...

I have a question... When I got this figure, I found this black paper thing under Batman's belt. I took the paper out and threw it away. Was I supposed to do that?
im gonna guess the way the launcher thing works/lets u move forward is that as the one in the direction you move retracts, the opposite one extends, essentially moving you. not sure tho, but i still want this :)

Great review i got this and joker and love oh just a little thing keep a eye on his abs around the belt area as some people have had oil leaking just like the dx02 batman did

the glider toy with the sting theres a string tha shoots out the middle and the othe two shoot to thesides to stabilize the gliding line,they just didn't add he midde string just becase they didn't.........
i think they should have use a heavier material for the cape

I only have the Batman cause that one it the only Batman i will ever need, period. But its all about who you prefered the most of the two or if you like to mix it all up abit the the Nolan version of any of those Batmans. But i would absolutely recommend Keaton, he might be expensive and very much stinky from the box at first but its Worth every penny when you have him in hand. And the smell will go away after a couple of days
