The most impressive part of all of this is probably making the 1960s Batmobile look badass without changing a single thing.
The 60's Batmobile was always badass! Easy job! Hahaha!
It was always badass
Absolutely! It felt this was the one in the Robert Pattinson movie
I don't know, it was good, but the score was the best part.

Adam West wasn’t lame. He was a campy legend. Rest in peace, Adam.
TRUTH! The thing about the TV Batman is that it was actually FOR ADULTS! Folks who had a sense of humor and appreciated satire. The movie incarnations may be closer to the comic book original, but it is FOR CHILDREN!

Physically, Adam West was the best Bruce Wayne. Tall and muscular, elegant, refined. It was only when he put on that ridiculous suit that everything switched into a joke.
As a child the Adam West batman was the best thing ever. It was before my time, but was still on repeat on TV when i was growing up..
Yeah same. My family used to watch the reruns every weekend when I was a young kid until they kept pushing the air time later and later in the night and eventually it was past my bedtime
I was born in 2002 but somehow ended up with a dvd of the first Batman movie, that was probably my most repeatedly watched non-Star Wars movie in elementary school
The car landing scene was just so good, the bat mobile didn't even look like it was just a 3d model
Yeah true....the car was the only acception
There's a little bit of jankiness in some of the shots, but the compositing is so well done, it looks more like a miniature than CGI. I think that's down to the 3D model and materials not being detailed enough.

All you need to know is with prep time Batman could defeat any other character in existence.

The Penguin just squawking the whole time was hilarious 😂
For us guys born in the 60's Adam West WAS Batman.
I loved Batman as a kid. A scruffy little English child such as I was, back in the '70s, had never seen anything like it before. Because of this Adam West was huge here in Britain, making regular appearances on kid's TV. It's good to see Adam West get a little bit of respect because he did more to spread word of Batman than anyone else before him.
Oh, don't you worry. Every true Batman fan has a place in their heart for Adam West.
As a Batman fan myself, I've always _loved_ the psychologically dark aspects of the franchise. But, I will always love Adam West's Batman, too. That was a part of my childhood, too, and even then I realized this was a goofier representation than Hollywood's Batman, but I loved it! And still do to this day. There's a place for all the variants we've had so far. 100%
@@mariobudal8850Imagine hating or finding Adam's Batman "lame", people got no taste, West will always be a legendary Batman.
If you were born in the 70s and 80s, you lived off reruns of Batman and the Hulk
@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 Next to Batman The Hulk was essential Saturday viewing. Batman in the morning and The Hulk with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno in the early evening. And there was The Six Million Dollar Man too. The 70's was great for superheroes.
I was born in the late 80’s. In the early 90’s after school, I would rush to my Grandma’s home and watch _Batman: The Animated Series_ on Fox Kids at 4:30PM and then _Batman ‘66_ on FX (Or was it TNT or USA?) at 5:00PM. They were two very different Batmans.
In _Batman ‘66_ Cesar Romero’s Joker had a cute blonde gun moll that he called *_Queenie._* I thought she was supposed to be the same character as Harley Quinn (Which as a 4 year old, I spelled as *_Harley QUEEN_* thinking since she had card motifs like the diamonds, clovers, hearts, and spades and since the Joker was a playing card and used card tricks. I also thought *_Alicia_* from Batman ‘89 was supposed to be the same character.
Obviously the finished product was mind blowing, particularly the shot of the batmobile landing... but I am very embarrassed that I didn't realize DC stood for Detective Comics.
DC Comics - Detective Comics Comics. Thankfully they don't use the full name
That's the reason why if you watch Cinema Sins videos on anything DC related, they always ding "DC Comics". Not as a dig against DC, but because of the redundancy of them effectively saying "Detective Comics Comics". It's like saying "ATM Machine", being automatic teller machine machine.

I return to that scene so often.

Adam West is The GOAT of Batman. I know he was goofy as shit. But it was spot on with the early comics. Once the dude said the Lamest Batman. I yelled Fück You! at my TV so loud. And it’s currently midnight 😂🤣

@@OrangeMan652 The silver age was not the earliest comics. In terms of character depiction, they're the middle child.
Earliest (golden age) a darker, more mysterious Batman, who was more of a vigilante and occasionally used lethal force against his enemies.
Middle (silver age) more of a "science detective," often dealing with extraterrestrial and supernatural threats, and incorporating more science fiction elements into the stories.
Late (modern age) a grittier, more psychologically complex Batman, as well as darker and more mature storylines

Honestly the true sad part is Bill Finger, the creator of Batmans suit, car, alter ego, joker, the aesthetics..died penniless, with zero credit, while Bob Kane stole all the rights, money and credit and didn't do jack shit haha..only 70 years later near death he felt bad and admitted it, and DC only credited Finger a few years ago, almost a century later
I worked in the film department (Backot Productions) at Universal Studios Florida in the early 90's and got to work wit Adam West for a day. I was in elementary school when the original show was on television so I was very happy to find him so affable and engaging. He was truly the coolest, most down to earth, funny actor I ever worked with. Our interviewer asked about the Batman series (that I think was into two movies by then) and with a bit of curiosity and sadness he said he did not know why he was never consulted about the movies or asked to play a bit part. But he had a great attitude and it made for a great day.
Shame they didn't involve him in Batman 89' but I feel like DC made it up to him by including him in the animated movies and Lego game. It's too bad we will never get more Adam West Batman.
Okay, I just wanted to say that I agree with your comment at 1:35, to an extent. The thing is, Adam didn't want to play a dark, gritty Batman, and said so later in life before he died. He knew of the Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan versions of Batman, and he said they were wrong. He went to his grave feeling that his Batman was the best.
Adam West was our “Bright Knight”
The camp isn't Adam's prison, its where he thrives. This is his domain, and by god that comedic timing is on damn point.
he invented it. shame theses guys couldn't get their facts straight.
"You merely adopted the camp. I was born I it. Molded by it."
batman was always camp 😭
It was intentionally supposed to be funny, almost mocking what comics had become in the 1960s. And yet people constantly rant about how they don't understand why it's "so weird" and "not like batman." Makes me sad bro. West slaps
Agree 💯 while I think the corridor crew knew what they were doing and it looks good the campy element cannot be extinguished. Can't agree that batman was woke to the degree they're making out. Maybe some kids loved the dark elements but it was more kid friendly and accessible to not have the dark side therefore more marketable and profitable.
I love the adam west burt ward series and out of all the batmans is imo the best. I get others will disagree and thats fine, they're just misguided.
Something that needs to be understood is that Adam West’s Batman was extremely accurate to the comics at that time. Batman wasn’t gritty or realistic until Batman year one came out.

Batman got gritty again in the 70s
There is a much older B&W Batman serial film that aired in theaters in the 30’s & 40’s. He had floppy ears and carried a gun. It was pretty crazy.
And the bad guy in that one was Japanese, so they worked in a lot of racial slurs. I mean a lot. Think your drunk uncle at Thanksgiving, twice a week at the theater.
I thought I was the only one here who watched that! My family found a DVD of it in an op-shop recently.
Thanks for saying it for me. Though, to be fair, those Batman films were in B&W, so it would be even harder to insert him into the new film.
Holy special effects, Batman!
10 out of 10, fellas, I'm just sorry Mr. West couldn't see it.
Underrated music edit. I can't believe how seamless the merging of the theme songs was. The addition of the "Na na na na na na" strings and that final "Batman!" nailed what was missing from Michael Giacchino's original composition .
Honestly had the score included that, it may have actually short circuited the time circuit and set us back to the real 2022.
That was the one thing I really pulled out and thought amazing.
Awesome job guys
The music they made for this was amazing. I've come back to this video several times to watch the awesome trailer but to also listen to the music.

Adam West was blessed with a Velvet Voice. His voice is the sound every Batman that came after him tried to emulate. I'm so glad that Family Guy gave him a reoccurring role.

Honestly Adam west could actually be considered the most important Batman oddly enough, because even through all the corny stuff he was given and how corny that show was, surprisingly it worked, and worked very well for what it was. It’s become a classic, imagine if it didn’t work, would comic films still be the same as they are today, maybe but maybe not.
hey, a lot of the corny was Adam himself, he was a very bright person and added so much dialogue to the show himself
Without Adam West, Batman isn't *BATMAN*. It was the 1960s phenomenon that made him the cultural figure he is. Otherwise, he would still be a distant second banana to Superman.
@@rhindlethered The success of the Adam West Batman show is the only thing that stopped DC from canceling Batman comics entirely. They had been selling very poorly beforehand.

Adam West was perfect as Batman in the 60s. His version is actually a really good reflection of what the comic books actually looked like in the 60's (even the villains in the TV series reflect very well how the villains were in the comics at that time).
And West was not a small tiny guy, he was 187 cm (6ft 1 ½), so after Ben Affleck (193 cm), he is the tallest actor to ever portray Batman). He's just the only Batman whose suit did not have fake muscles.

So is Frank Miller's -- it's a much darker kind of humor, to be sure, but one I understand just as well."

I can honestly picture that coming, now. And… I actually hope it does. Only question is… who would be well casted as an Adam West Batman?
The closest would be sin city
It would have been so cool if DC had done the justice league as different decades. Do a 50’s Superman, a 60’s Batman, a 70’s Wonderwoman, etc. and just set the whole justice league in the past. Then you could focus on new characters set in the modern day and have an aging Batman, make Supes and Wonderwoman’s longevity part of it so Batman’s getting old and you can even do Batman Beyond and stuff.
Upon reading the script for the pilot - Adam West got it. (From his book "Back to the Batcave" my copy is autographed by Adam West). He thought it was great and was laughing before the audition. Adam West's portrayal of Batman in the 1960's is certainly a classic - but it's not the "oldest" version of the character set to film. There was a low budget serial made in the 1940s or early 1950s.
There were 2 serials one in 1943 with Lewis Wilson and one in 1949 with Robert lowery then we got my favorite Batman Adam west
@Ricky Moore It's still Batman though.
That's what i just said, Lewis Wilson
@Ricky Moore
true but the title says THE OLDEST BATMAN, adam west clearly isn't the oldest, simple as that
we know what they are going for, of course, but the title is incorrect and clearly everyone is picking up on it , you can't debate this point, Adam west simply isn't the oldest batman it was Lewis Wilson
maybe they should have put
Oldest and Most popular vs Newest and Most popular
then.. it'd make more sense
@Ricky Moore Neither are the serials ones. Batman stopped killing really early on in comics because editors wanted him to be more kid friendly and Bill Finger realized he works better with a code.
I remember when Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight" came out, and I dreamed that they would do a film version with Adam West as older Batman. He was the right age and people don't realize that Adam West was a great acting talent.

Bruce Timm's Batman did that though.
That actually looked really fucking cool. Like, I think a modern batman movie could absolutely lean into the ridiculousness of that while staying somewhat serious. As long as they are tongue in cheek, while not admitting to the gag, it could be a really cool way of elevating fight scenes. Latest Batman is brilliant but the tv show will always hold a special place in my ❤
Great vid Crew!
I feel like a lot of people are missing the fact that the crew aren’t actually bashing Adam West’s Batman at the opening of this video. At least to me, they’re just using that premise as a narrative excuse for making this video.
Yeah but it comes off like that. It looks like a bunch of dudes who don't know what they're talking about trying to improve something that's great. The finished product is excellent but the opening leaves a sour taste, as it doesn't feel like it's coming from a place of love.
@@dustinakadustin thank you
@Author B.L. Alley a depressing but kinda accurate assessment 😂
This is just an advertising channel, they wouldn’t bash anything seriously
@@RHKO yeah just have to check out their no way home VFX artists react to see that.
I love this project but the 1966 Batman was epic. As a kid I was thrilled, as an adult it brought me so much laughter and a touch of nostalgia. Funny story: I met Adam West and Burt Ward at an Autorama where the original Batmobile was on display. I was about 9. I was shocked at how hairy Burt Ward's arms were. My dad explained that he shaved them for the show to look younger. My innocence was shattered 😂.
Facts! when you are small, Adam west is just as much Batman as all the others!
Kyle thats fucking amazing lololol.
I met Adam West once, he was an amazingly wonderful human being. He loved being Batman. He loved the fans, and he’d stay and sign autographs for hours!
That's just kinky 🙂
GM Motorama?
Wow. Wow. Wow!!! This is sooooooo well done! Kudos to the team!!
How have I not been subscribed to you guys? Keep on!
The bomb scene in the 60s Batman movie is hysterical. It’s an underrated movie.
I watched it a lot around 2016-18, loved it. Probably cringier than I remember but I had a good time.
@@JRS06 the "cringe" generation is cringe. the believe to only have that narrow path in which you arent "cringe" is very weak. Its like living in Hell and Hell is that 3 Years before you finally were accepted as an equal on the school yard, perpetuated.
@@JRS06 What do people say is wrong with the movie. It’s a comedy, so it’s supposed to be funny and good.
Me and my son were howling laughing, rolling on the carpet at those parts.
Best scene ever!!!
Adam West was actually a big dude, second only to Afleck in terms of the Batman actors. He would look super intimidating in a modern updated suit because of his good physical condition
Ben Snowflake looks like that goofy dude in the frat who challenges someone to a fight and gets his @ss kicked.
18:31 WOW
IF THAT were the movie premise, I would DEFINATELY go see it.
Purely nostalgic reasons. Woah. Excellent effort and results guys!
You guys an extremely great job putting this Batman trailer together.
I honestly believe this is a turning point in corridor crew's quality of content. This feels so well done specially for a weeks hard work
@@thomasbecker9676 nah they are fliming for a netflix show and wren works on specials and his other show on the channel
This is by far the worst video I've seen on the channel. Like 80% of it was flogging sponsors, self promoting and painfully unfunny skit rubbish. The content pertaining to the video title could have been a 3 minute video. They are a special effects crew, why does everyone on CZcams have to try so hard to be funny and fail miserably. The original few CC crew were funny just because they are likeable friends having a laugh *whilst* showing interesting aspects of the art.
@@thomasbecker9676 they suck, this “new” guys are actually good
It is what it is im happy for the team to have this opportunity. The new stunt show looks great, and they are still actively producing for the channel/website.
19:35 How is no one talking about how amazing this modernized 60's theme is!
This is awesome! I hope you guys make this into a full-length movie! A batfan can dream, right?
Great job. Grew up with all the Batmans. The Adam West Batman holds a special place in my heart. Great spin on a classic with the latest iteration. Another alternate DC Universe. Cheers
"Poor Adam West"? The Adam West TV series is *THE* reason why Batman is as popular as he is today. The 1960s Batman TV show brought the comic back into relevance at a time when it was being completely overshadowed.
this ^
they also point out that the comics themselves were being censored
Adam West wasn't the first batman.
Lewis Wilson (‘Batman,’ 1943)
Lewis Wilson was the first actor to star as Batman in the 1943, 15-chapter serial Batman. Instead of battling familiar baddies from the comics, Wilson's Batman fought a villainous Japanese spy (J. Carrol Naish), who was attempting to turn the U.S. population into zombies.
👍
I actually was scrolling through to see if anyone else had picked up on this. THANK YOU!
Robert Lowery played the second Batman in the "Batman and Robin" movie serial back in 1949. So, Adam West was actually the third live action Batman.
Corridor Crew - We need a zombie fighting Batman short!!!!! 🙂
Judging by US politics I'd say that he succeeded.
This was nicely done the part that stood out for me in this was when the danced to the bullets being fired at him
If I had seen this BEFORE NAB, i would have come by to talk with you guys. This was entertaining...especially the bullet-fire in the dark. LOL!
To be honest Adam West, writers, crew, etc were mostly having an amazing time doing the original. They originally signed on to do a show for kids that was so “bad” that it would never continue; but then it became a hit…and with all sorts of age demographics. So when they got higher ratings budgets they just started adding more guests, more camp, pushing the limits on jokes and situational boundaries; and they kept getting asked for more. For them, it was like getting asked to run around and get paid loads of money for playing a massive lowest effort joke with the world; and getting continued applause for it.
As someone who grew up in the 80's, that was entirely lost on me until I was an adult. I just thought it was a corny 60's show. I totally had an "ohhhh" moment there.
and the joker was the first "minority" not that guy trying to claim it now lol
@@Janzer_ ok how was the Joker the first Minority?
I wanna see them put Robert Pattinson's batman into the Adam Wests version of the Batman universe! xD
Also, the Car Chase was amazing
Freaking amazing. Rest in peace Adam West!
Lol. I can't imagine a brooding 60s Batman.
@@E_l_l_i_e Just like I can't imagine a goofy 60's Batman working in Matt Reeves Batman Universe.
@Edge Emo Gamer R nah Pattinson was great. All the actors who have played Batman have been really good, except George Clooney
At first I was laughing my ass off at the classic pow, bam and zok. But the Bat mobile coming through the flames was amazing!
I'm blown away! Amazing work!
Every generation has their Batman, defined by the times. Adam West will always be my favorite Batman. Great video.
Agreed
I love them all, Clooney not much, but my favorite is Keaton. Although we have to mention that It wasn't just Keaton, it was the mind of Tim Burton, all actors also performed the villains to perfection. Jack Nicholson's Joker and Danny De Vito's Penguin really helped that Batman's version.
Loved it. Curious why you didn't swap Catwoman out? The show had 3 to choose from.
And Gordon.
I asked myself the same thing
As every vfx studio would say: we ran out of time
too much work and maybe not proper scenes
The show even had the OG black cat woman, Miss Earth Kitt herself!
That classic Batman theme near the end. Amazing!
This was dope AF
Good job boys 👌👌
