"Don't make your skin color an idol" This needed to be said!!! I always thought God was interested in my heart. What does my skin color have to do with that? Be mindful not to become what you dislike in others.
I don't think anyone is making their skin color an idol. But the same is true with Black Lives Matter...no one is saying all lives don't matter. Its because in society most of the time black lives experience inequality and injustice, so we must speak a little louder for them until they are treated equally. Celebrating one's own skin color in a land where it is often degraded and the people are treated as though God does not care about them because they are less than and evil in some way is not a slight on anyone else. How about others join in the fight for equality and sharing the word that we are all God's children, instead of getting upset at the victims of inequality for encouraging themselves, maybe in an overzealous fashion, but encouraging themselves nonetheless

This story terribly grieves my heart. I love Lauryn. She has a very strong spoken word poem that she recited for Yah on Def Poetry back in the day, and her song I Gotta Find Peace of Mind changed my life.. it's like she sang my testimony from her own experience.. Hey, don’t be so quick to judge Lauren. There are different dimensions that we all live in. She is on a higher understanding of who Christ is than most Christians, she understands that Jesus is love and only love…that is all Lauren was saying. I will not judge Nick on his perspective on this video because he is not at the level of understanding the true being of Jesus. He too is living in a dimension different from that of Lauren. Over time as you study the Bible and the teachings of Christ you will come to realized that all Jesus wants from us is to Love…When you have love you have all things…you forgive easily, you understand softly, you will give up your rights for peace sake, you will turn the other cheek. After seeing Lauryn Hill in sister act 2 when I was 6, I became a huge fan. Me and my mother would sing killing em softly at the top of our lungs. As well as watch the ending musical scene in sister act 2 over and over again. I was very disappointed to find out in my teenage years that she did not like wite people. That was her last album period. The confusing part is how she’d go from that to “Christ consciousness.” I feel you though, I’d say Kirk Franklin is quite confusing but not like 2 Chains or somebody.
