Join Mitch Gallagher as he explains how and why he created his custom Fender Telecaster. Outfitted with a special neck, aftermarket pickups, and a Strat-style vibrato bridge, this definitely isn't your average Tele.

So you started off with a "beater" guitar that you could throw around and take anywhere, and then you tweaked, modded and honed to perfection into a one-off custom build that is too valuable to bring anywhere at all?? Story of my life. Nice guitar, Mitch!

I've never seen a Fender guitar with the Humbucker so close to the bridge. That will give it a brighter tone, but to me it sounds pretty nice in the demo.

I have a 50th anniversary Candy Apple Red Sparkle Squier Strat that I've modded a lot (Tuners/Bridge/Electronics, etc) . It was my first guitar purchased right before my wedding and I love it. Rather than buying something new I just keep modding it. It has way more intrinsic value than actual resale value.
Great story. I found the custom harness wiring very interesting. Of course, the end result of any partscaster is its sound and playability. This sounds great! When it comes to music, Gallagher really knows his brass from his oboe.
You should make a limited run of these!

If you’re looking for a bit more mids on the bridge, check out the Duncan Pearly Gates.
It still keeps that Tele twang. Sounds great through that Deluxe behind you. It's proof positive that with a guitar like that and a combo, you'd have no trouble getting a big sound.
there is no tele twang at all..... the humbuckers completely kill that.... its ok but a prs would be better suited for what it is, still a beautiful guitar.

Hey Mitch, I love the guitar! After everything is said and done, what would be the grand total that you invested in this guitar. I love everything about the guitar. You should make this guitar a Mitch Gallagher Signature model.

Sounds and looks great, but you probably made the same mistake I always make - you turned an instrument you didn’t want to worry about into one you most likely want to protect and guard. Damn it sucks falling in love.
Mitch Gallagher that’s right, and I need either someplace else to keep them, or someone to sell them to. You guys need to get into the used guitar business as well and help me out.

hey Mitch, Why did you ope for the Strat bridge instead of a Bigsby for a Tele? You wouldn't have had to rout it.
