I wish Stan could win Wimbledon. It would be wonderful seeing him win the career Grand Slam.
p l u m they both yet to meet in grass...
wtf raj?
Wtf 2013 ....
riley it could still happen, and I say that as a Djokovic fan so I definitely know
@@keir92 as a Stan Stan , see what I did there? I can tell you the chances are slim, Stan's game is simply not suited on grass, but here I am praying for him
When Stan points to his head, you are in trouble.
It's called unagi!
Yep 😂😂
@marietto2008 czcams.com/video/x8OAsIGVKQI/video.html
😂 😂
LMFAO
One of the most underrated journey to victory in a slam..he struggled in almost every match and yet managed to win...inspirational
444th like
Yep. Evans (saving a MP), Delpo, Nishikori, and then DJOKOVIC. Stanimal lived up to his name once again
One of the most powerful backhand in tennis. Stan The Man. 💪
Federer _69
No one of the most... Stan have the most powerful and
technique backhand in tennis history! Even Federer can learn from Stan about BackHand one hand!
And not just powerful of all time - but one of the most perfectly correct, too. And beautiful.....
So perfect It should be part of UNESCO master pieces ;)
Gasquet
Compared to any other top player, I am happiest when Stan wins a GS final. He never gave up, kept trying with more determination, and never let his past losses keep him from his dream of Grand Slam victory.
The ultimate one handed backhand
"The ultimate one-handed backhand" now.... 1950's/60's > Ken Rosewall.
nope, gasquet has the best, stan a close second though
Ken Rosewall's.... slice and flat....
Truly - at least as a topspin 'drive'. Rosewall had the ultimate slice.
Roger, Gasquet, Haas, Edberg etc - great shots, if some slightly flawed, none as perfect or devastating as Stan's.
@@GIN.356.A nope
When Stan was in the zone, he was just the most awesome player to watch. And what unbelievable power.
Never seen a player be this calm after winning a Grand Slam.
9:00
I think Stan was a bit confused about how to react because of djokovic’s “medical timeouts”. I don’t want to accuse djokovic of making it up, I’m sure he was ailing, but those things tend to “detract” from the winner a bit mentally
Medvedev
@@JJ-zy3zv Nah, that's just his persona. It was the same when he beat Nadal at the AO, he was so calm. I was a bit confused if it wasn't the final I had just watched.
Marat Safin
When Stan the man is on, he’s unstoppable! He took the top 4 out on the way to win his grand slam
Peculiar... When Djokovic is in trouble, medical time out is a go to strategy. Did the same thing this year vs Thiem, when in trouble.
Don't dramatize the scene holy cow
He’s done this a number of times
Yeah. Him and Nadal. I hardly remember I saw Federer or Stan did that before. Also, those two are famous for delaying during serve until we implemented the clock.
Not "peculiar"- he was injured. You can't play when you're injured.
@@lessonlearned9399 When Nadal?
9:00 why I love Stan. No outrageous celebration. Acts like he just won a tough first round match.
unowen7591 I'm a fan of Stan but nothing wrong with outrageous celebration... ripping off clothes or whatever, maybe that's a little "cocky" but sometimes people have huge roars and I don't see anything wrong with it. They did something great and they deserve to be proud of it and celebrate it
You shall like medvedev even more
He threw his racquet in the air when he won the French open though
@@thomasfit3095 That's not outrageous to me
Best one-handed backhand in tennis history and best pink shorts game in humankind history.
To me, Kuerten had the best. Stan comes second.
His one-handed backhand is a work of art. Almost makes you want to cry.
Congratulations for Stan! Is really hard to win in a era with Federer, Nadal and nole!! Ahhh and murray...
Murray would have been the best or second best player in most eras of tennis
Who the fuck are britishers you melt?
@@lukeinvictus69 Murray was a very decent player but he was unlucky to be a player among the 3 greatest of all times (plus Sampras) Rafa-Djoko-Roger owned this era. Each one of them are older than Murray and each one of them have +16 Grand Slams, and each one of them had multiple injuries. Murray was never in their league. Stan Wawrinka also won 3 slams.

Agree, in the last 20 years, besides the 'big 3' only Stan and Andy have won more than 1 slam.
Very tough era in which to play professional tennis.
Just love Stan's game and mental toughness. And of course, his amazing backhand!
Stan Beating Djokovic on his prime was incredible. Apart from murray and the big three, this guy will be recognized as the one who could beat most of the big three in a gs final. I could die happily after that.
Is Djokovic getting injured every time he plays against Stan?
Yeah we clearly need answers from Djo for this 🤔
Yes joker always behave as if he is injured when losing you can see that in aus open 2012 final, aus open 2020 final and many more
Djokovic has no sportsmanship at all.
Bunch of haters piss off
Yes you can saw that in US open2019 djokovic did the same thing
When Stan is on. My word…his game is just a treat. His ferocity, coupled with his sublime hitting off both wings, is just a sight to behold. Stan is definitely the man and one of my favorite tennis players hands down.
Djokovic back at it again with the time-out scam.
Big scam
King of Phantom Injury!
Him and Nadal both. When they start losing the injuries all of sudden start popping up. Pitiful. Fed doesn't do that, he just plays through.
Idk why I just never liked Novak from the beginning he seemed too fake and of course getting hurt everytime he is losing.
@@1bcordell Nadal, the most authentic tennis warrior to ever grace a tennis court? It's not in his DNA to exploit medical timeouts.
Stans forehand and backhand are just both sensational, my favorite player in the ATP tour
How I'd LOOOOOVE to see a repeat of this in 2019. My ideal men's player - a classy gent with a one-handed backhand that is both beautiful and brutal. He may not have won as many as the ballyhooed big 3, but the ones he's won he's won in such style, and arguably it's a greater feat for having had to go through the most dominant players in history to do it. STANIMAL!!!
Wawrinka is so often overlooked and undertalked about. He's won the same number of slams as Murray has
Imho much more exciting to watch Stan than Andy. Murray edges him out in many stats, but is more of a defender.
@@tennnis498 Each slam stan won is worth at least 2 slams. He beat a member of the big 3 that was ranked #1 the time in all his slam wins. Very impressive stuff.
Wawrinka had a 3 years of playing awesome quite late in his career. Murray was a prospect who slightly under delivered/ was cursed/blessed to play in the greatest era of male tennis (similar to 90's for females) with the big 3 Same amount of slams, but Murray had many more quarters, semis, finals and 2 singles golds at the Olympics + silver mixed doubles. Murray's nearly 50 titles and Stan's 15 demonstrate the overall picture (not just concentrating on GS).
I always loved watching Wawrinka, Del Potro, Safin, the big 3, Roddick, Murray, Monfils, Dustin Brown, Dan Evans and Gasquet play (can probably tell I'm British). I'm sad I wasn't alive during the 90's for Graf, Seles, Navratilova, Evert, Sabatini and Martina Hingis. I've watched some wicked replays of their hard-fought finals.
@@rscoops3986 Murray has 0 Australian Open and 0 Roland Garros (French) titles unlike Stan. Lol. Funny how you forget to mention that and yet talk about Olympics which isn't even a tennis Major nor held every year 🤣😂
@@rscoops3986 since when did lost Major quarterfinals, semifinals and finals count? That is a loser nonetheless. Is it only applicable for Murray and his sad fanboys like you? 😅
Great win for Stan! Watching him play del Potro in the quarters (forgotten Delpo had reached that far) got me to thinking he is in a similar situation now where Delpo was at that time. I hope Stan gets back to top notch soon!
I remember staying up to watch this even though I had work the next day. It was so utterly joyous. I loved it. STANTHEMAN!
I supervised the grounds that year.
Amazing.!!
When you realise Stan has won all his slams in 4 sets.
Also he won this one after being a set down!
@@spideyocd same as in RG 2015 final
The most exciting player to day in the Grand Slams
Evans vs Wawrinka is an extremely underrated match.
Love these review videos
Fantastic video. I enjoyed this so much. Stan is the only player I've seen make the great Novak fall off his horse like this. Unbelievable tennis.
ombaleeble
This man has just won a grand slam and he just doesn't even celebrate. I love it!
Stan is a stud! Huge backhand and forehand!
Stan won all 3 slams beating all time legends who were all well rested and ready to go before the match started...very impressive
@@DiegoPerez-wv8ml yeah right. (eye roll)
@@DiegoPerez-wv8ml Nadal was well rested and he is younger than Wawrinka. The former destroyed Federer in the semis. So stop with the silly old excuses as Nadal got surprised with Stan's level. If Nadal was so called injured why did he even play? Wawrinka a deserved AO champion either way. The guy also beat AO king Djokovic in the same tournament (quarters), something Murray and even Nadal can only dream of.
@@vicinvesta8349 Nadal got hammered in AO 2014 by Stan. That is what the records say and everyone saw. Get real 😂🤣
Just found my new tennis hero. Stan’s the man. 👏
Stan The Man. A great player, a backhand champion but not only. A very good man loved and respected from Big Champions like Roger, Rafa and Nole.
We want see this Animal back in 2020, camon, Stan! Go fordward....is the man with two drives, as gloves.
StanTheMan forever.
Stan the best tennis player ever.
That backhand is killing me! Will see Stan in "22
What a backhand this dude have, wonderfull
Will power of Wawrinka is extremely at high peak...how he was fighting for every ball point...using brain to win point..tolerating his bodily pains while playing...everything is inspiring for every one...I like and love the play of Wawrinka....it is simply great and extrordinary
The best and aggressive backhand in history. Stan the man
STAN IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ❤️
The gentleman of Tennis so calm and cool never one to over celebrate when on rythem none of the GOATS of our era can beat him
stan the man
very humble person , stan amazing
Stan won all his grand slams the hard way by defeating the world number 1 all 3 times and by defeating both the world number 1 and the world number 2 for his first grand slam. Go Stanimal!! Wimbledon will be a long shot next year but I wouldn't be surprised if he wins another French and US open. But, even if he doesn't win another Grand Slam before he retires, his come back has been special and to just be in the mix in 2019 will complete the come back and put an exclamation mark on a great career as far as I am concerned.
Raw talent and raw power!!!
I love Stan!
The most powerful backhand of all time.
I'm very proud that Stan Beat Novak I knew he could do it.
the last paralell backhand shot against del Potro... so powerfull
Djokovics winning strategy: Play to the backhand and grind everybody DOWN!
Stan when his backhand is on: Oh, yes please!
19-6
@@plantpower2092 grand slam finals: 2-0
Sin lugar a duda el mejor revez a una a sola mano, un gran ejemplo de jugador si te lo propones lo logras
Stan the man!!!
Djoker reaction to congratulate opponent win is always awesome love that
His medical timeouts too
Stan is a Super Man, "Stan The Man" "Stanimal" His Best Tournament and Win Ever and I want him to win Grand Slams again!!!
Stan is Fearless player.
Stan is the best !
Great backhands
Stan's matches with Djoko at the AO will always be remembered. He was as good a player as any other but clearly something was missing as he should have won so much more.
Here's hoping he can get back into GS form. One of my all time favs.
I miss him so friggin' much...
Miss this guy
just KING!
When Stan is fine, djokovic, Federer and Nadal are uneasy
Hace falta Stanislas en el circuito, de los pocos en hacerle frente a los mejores 4 del ranking y vencerlos 🎾
His slam wins make me the happiest
Wallace Grommet is not consistent
2015 french and 2014 australian open
I wish I watched Stan in his prime Live. He was a great player. Took down Djoko in both RG and US Open
STAN THE MAN.... INCREÍBLE
stan's backhand is one of the best tennis players to ever play
He is the only man who doesn't fall on floor after winning grand slam final...
Roger n Stan both have great one handed back hands
I'm Rafa's fan
But if the is in between Rafa nd Stan I want Stan to win..
He is such a pleasing, clam, personality
I love Stan
My favourite player - STAN WOWRINKA !!!!!!
Stan is my favourite player
Un grande Stan!
Is there a better player than Stan who plays backhand so cleanly ? I love the release and ease
Stan's strike rate in GS finals is 100%. Big match player.
When Stan isfresh and on fire, you'd better watch out.
Stan the Man!
love novak even though im feds fan, he is always so graceful in his defeat
bravo stan.... un grand joueur comme on les aime..... ;-)
Amazing how he saved match point in the third round, then beat Delpo, Nishikori, and Djokovic back to back.
I have seen a great sportsman spirit in Novac since his arrival.....
Still some people don't know that he was match point down vs Evans. Managed to won that & eventually a tournament.
Wawrinka had the type of power that would worry even the big 3. I remember him smashing his racket against Evans into something that didn't even look like a broken racket. That showed everyone exactly how strong Wawrinka is.
He deserves a Wimbledon. He deserves the career grand slam.
Great! Stan the man :)
Stan the man
A man for the biggest stages....3 out 3 in finals of majors 🔥🔥🔥
3 out of 4 actually (lost to Nadal in RG 2017 final)
Stan the man .Good Player
Viva Stan The Man!
Stan the man..the king
Enfocado es imparable,
look his face. Telling about his hard work
エバンス大好き
My favorite player on tour, along w/ Jared Donaldson of Rhode Island. After the injury/surgery/rehab, I hope Stan W can find his top form again... I remember at one point during the Open Final announcer Chris Fowler calling Stan "Big Diesel" !!! .... Like it!
Donaldson is so bad😂😂😂
You don't know what you're talking about.
Opponents always have an "injury" when they know they're in trouble against Stan. For all the people so concerned about H2H record. Stan is 2-0 against Novak and 1-1 against Nadal in GS finals.
So are you saying Nadal wasn't injured in the AO final? You must be either a blind person or a blind Stan fan if you couldn't see Rafa's injury in that final,he was barely serving at a good speed since the second set,and when Rafa was fit he thrashed your stan in the FO-17 final, don't forget that
The super sonic one handed backhand..... best in the world.
