      Wawrinka had a 3 years of playing awesome quite late in his career. Murray was a prospect who slightly under delivered/ was cursed/blessed to play in the greatest era of male tennis (similar to 90's for females) with the big 3 Same amount of slams, but Murray had many more quarters, semis, finals and 2 singles golds at the Olympics + silver mixed doubles. Murray's nearly 50 titles and Stan's 15 demonstrate the overall picture (not just concentrating on GS).
      I always loved watching Wawrinka, Del Potro, Safin, the big 3, Roddick, Murray, Monfils, Dustin Brown, Dan Evans and Gasquet play (can probably tell I'm British). I'm sad I wasn't alive during the 90's for Graf, Seles, Navratilova, Evert, Sabatini and Martina Hingis. I've watched some wicked replays of their hard-fought finals.

    Wawrinka had the type of power that would worry even the big 3. I remember him smashing his racket against Evans into something that didn't even look like a broken racket. That showed everyone exactly how strong Wawrinka is.

    My favorite player on tour, along w/ Jared Donaldson of Rhode Island. After the injury/surgery/rehab, I hope Stan W can find his top form again... I remember at one point during the Open Final announcer Chris Fowler calling Stan "Big Diesel" !!! .... Like it!

    Opponents always have an "injury" when they know they're in trouble against Stan. For all the people so concerned about H2H record. Stan is 2-0 against Novak and 1-1 against Nadal in GS finals.

    • @N.Kishore
      @N.Kishore Před 4 lety +2

      So are you saying Nadal wasn't injured in the AO final?You must be either a blind person or a blind Stan fan if you couldn't see Rafa's injury in that final,he was barely serving at a good speed since the second set,and when Rafa was fit he thrashed your stan in the FO-17 final,don't forget that
