I told my wife after 2016 Rafa was finished. Being the supreme fortune teller I am all he’s done is won one AO , 2 US Opens and 5 French opens and multiple tournaments since then. I need a new career.
there is no one who can match the intensity and passion he shows on the court in every game
True!
Nadal means tenacity, endurance n heart of steel.
Nadal is majestic
Who is here after he won us open 2019
Nadal was simply on fire in US Open 2017!!
What a fighter
GOAT 🎾👑🏆
One of the greatest US open champions adding a great variety!
His draw wasn't the hardest but still his level was insane. Had he had a tougher draw he would have probably won as well.
Anyone else notice how fired up he during this tournament? Seemed to really help his game.
Refining the beauty of bright colors, Rafael Nadal!😘
Anyone else notice in the first match Nadal won the first set but it immediately went to game set match Nadal
Haha, Right. 😄😄
yeah, when it did that and he hit the ball in the crowd I was like ''thats early''
Cleanest transition of all time.
He is the real deal, the best champion out there!
Hoping for a sweet repeat in 2018.
Injury
No,he body injured and exhausted after battle thiem and retired against del potro
Nadal was in his excellent form for this US Open 2017. Hoping for a repeat in 2018.
The one's he played in 4 sets, Nadal was thinking: OK you can have this first set, I'll just finish you off in the next three sets.
Helen Ivanic he played an ok tournament. But he didn’t play any top 20 players and lost 2 sets to players he shouldn’t have
porque no jugo novak la final , si acabo de ver las semis y le gano a federer

Im watching it just before 2021 us open and can't wait to see nadal to win
Nadal he will still no.1 and he's great fighter
Taro Daniel was on fire but nadal sprinkled him easily
Proud of you Nadal 2017 is the Best year for you.
Juan Rios Jr. I disagree as he was in over 10 finals and
Claimed Indian Wells Montreal and Cincinnati so 3 hard court masters and the French and US Open in the 2013 season
both are wrong. best year is 2010-french open, us open and wimbledon.
@@tvo006 also disagree. 😁 For me 2008 nadal ist a monster.
Destroyed federer in French open.
And than win in his "living room" greatest match ever. Plus a few masters 1000.
And his longest winning streak.
And the longest winning streak over 3 surfaces

The greatest of all time! If you don't understand why, don't worry, my video analysis explains it all. I'll have more coming out soon to add to it.
@Natpugit Pakseubzin just speaking the truth since the world so badly needs it :)
@Natpugit Pakseubzin if you say that Rafa is the greatest of all time, you are a fanboy of Rafa, but if you say Federer is the best its okay...
@@pedrolidata rafa is better than fed absolutely no question about that man 😉
@@pedrolidata Federer aka the guy who played in the weakest tennis era possible and is still only 2 slams higher than Nadal and has a 15-24 h2h against the guy? Lol next joke please.
Gherbi Hicham
Lol, Nadull who has only won 6 slams outside of clay, one being at USO ‘17 when he won without playing one player in the top 25. What a joke. He should be praying to the gods that Delpo defeated Fed that year letting him not suffer another beatdown by the “Weak Era” GOAT.
The simple fact that he beat del poltro on hard court is awesome
is portro good at hard court?
아빠코코 del potros forehand is just beastly especially on hard courts.
The fact that he bagelled del Potro on hard is even more impressive.
GREATTTT CHAMPION...WONDERFUL TENNIS..A RÉAL WARRIOR PLAYING TENNIS. .

These five setters are all about endurance. When you get the first set, you have to keep that energy going through the match.

Don't know what happens to Delpo,he wins first set, then loses 2nd 6-0. He's done that in the Davis cup too against Rafa.
11:01 Rafa's speed to the net on that point is incredible! 31 years old & still that fast is awesome!
Taro Daniel was 6-4 2-0 up and then got smoked
Siempre les deja ganar un set, NADAL eres cojonudo.
It's incredible how winning the first set against Nadal means absolutely nothing 😅
Wow amazing GOAT
Why lol it's the reality lmfao
Seascorp Scorpio dream on. The draw was for him and against Federer. He vs all the easy players. BTW, Rafa has a game of NOW(2018) overpowering players, and getting huge power. It’s why he sucks on grass as his backswing is to big.
Anderson destroyed Federer at Wimbledon. So if Anderson "sucks", then Federer is done. If Federer isn't done, then Anderson is good. Nadal also destroyed Del Potro, a GS winner.
Woineey P Prime Nadal beats Prime Fed on grass.

Mi querido campeon
Great awakening from rafa nadal
Nadal is the best player in the world
Zihan Khan djoko
absolutely rafa is the best
Should have shown more of the semi final vs Delpo. The last 3 sets of that match Nadal was another level. I wouldn't be complaining were it not for 'US Open Tennis Championships' having taken down all the other CZcamsrs highlights of that match. Poor form. Respect to Rafa though ;)
I think Rafa can win more Wimbledons if the schedule is not too close to the French Open. I wish they would move up the French Open to March or April. The FO and Wimbley are too closely scheduled.
Rafaaa Vamosss Rafaaa.. 😍😍
bruh at 0:30 they made such a smooth cut to make it look like Nadal was celebrating winning the match after winning the first set.
i feel rafa's ground strokes were more penetrating in 2017 than in 2019...and flatter as well.
It's the Carlos Moya effect. This style of tennis in 2017 would not have pulled through in that fifth set vs Medvedev in 2019. Moya got Nadal in 2019 to hit a lot better 120+ mph first serves and not care about the style points known as first serve % in. Moya also coached Nadal to use drop shots, serve/volley, and completely change tactics as an emergency option if the match completely turns against him. Nadal only won in that final set due to stepping up to return Medvedev's 120+ mph first serve bombs. Imagine 2017 Nadal returning those Medvedev first serves from 20 feet behind the baseline like he did with Anderson. He also used serve and volley to win the 2019 USO F. Nadal won 17 of 20 S&V points vs Medvedev and came to the net like 70 times, winning almost 80% of net points.
Remember that Nadal's draw from 1R to QF was not very hard in 2017. Delpo and Anderson were very tough but did not offer that crazy insane defensive/chameleon style of tennis that Medvedev did in the final due to Medvedev's fantastic tennis IQ/changing of tactics.

Seeks to be the only player in the open era to win at least two grand slam in the big four, a magnificent record. From my point of view, would make the most complete. Federer and Djokovic could do it by winning another RG, Nadal another AO.
Djokovic is the only who has done that so far.
@@justdev8965 and now nadal! most complete players in the history of tennis
Tennis experts have calculated that Rafa missed 3 years of GS tournaments, 12 titles, through injury. And yet he stayed neck and neck with Djoko, until 2023, when yet again injury forced him to withdraw from R Garros. My guess is he wd have won it, if he'd been fit (considering he has won it at least twice when he was not 100% healthy).
Neither Fed or Djoko have missed that number of GS tournaments.
And again, numerous pundits have said how different things wd have undoubtedly been if 2 of the GS were played on clay, instead of 2 on hardcourts.
Same for end of year championships. Why are they always played indoors?
I don't need to make excuses for Rafa, his record speaks for itself, but it's a plain fact that without his chronic injuries, he wd have won many more GS titles, and despite all that was tied with Djoko until RG 2023. He has also won Gold in both singles and doubles at the Olympics. Injury again prevented him from defending his Gold singles at 2012 Olympics, and defending his 2008 Wimbledon crown, which I'm positive he'd have reclaimed in 2009.
Then it wd have been Rafa with the record number.
Nadal was a bit lucky with the draw, and he was a bit lucky that Warinka and Murray and maybe Djokovich were out.
But I swear watching his last matches of the tournament that he was by far the best player out there. Heck he deserves it. There’s no doubt in my mind.
So unlucky to retire with injury so deep in the tournament in 2018. He looked really good last week when he won the Rogers Cup (against Medvedev who is in amazing up and coming form who beat Djokovic in semis yesterday and won first ATP1000 today against Goffin) and he has been very careful not to play much on hard courts. I really feel he can win US Open again this year to make it 4 wins there and a19th grand slam.🎾👍🏆
I'm sure Djoko and Fed did have the same luck with the draw, specially when you're ranked #1. It's not luck I guessed, it's skills, talent, endurance etc...
@@alfonsojacob1768 This is a cakewalk grand slam aside from Del Potro. All the other opponents of Nadal have a combined 0 masters, atp finals, grand slam trophies
@@chamindujanith6337 Not Nadal's fault that Djokovic, Murray, and Wawrinka were all injured and had to withdraw and Federer couldn't take care of Del Potro despite having set points in the 3rd set (and he would have likely finished off Delpo in 4 sets). The other Big 5 members took advantage of other top players' injuries too. This is Nadal's only Grand Slam where so many top rivals of his were injured and out. Btw, are you really not going to talk about how Anderson validated his 2017USO performance when he beat Federer at the 2018 Wimbledon QF and was the Wimbledon finalist in 2018? Pretty sad for you if you are a Fed fan, huh? Nadal beat somebody (Anderson) who beat the 2017 Wimbledon defending champ Federer in the 2018 Wimbledon QF after Federer had a match point in the 3rd set for a straight sets victory but Anderson saved it and won it in FIVE SETS!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@nogoodnameleft Nadal had multiple embarrassing losses at Wimbledon. Loosing to guys like Rosol, Darcis, Brown who are no way near the level of a Kevin Anderson. That doesn't mean anything. Nadal had multiple cakewalk draws at grand slams and is essentially a one trick pony overall compared to Federer and Djokovic. If Federer didn't ran into Djokovic like 20 times in Grand slam semis/finals he would easily have more grand slams than Nadal who more often than not looses in the early rounds(avoiding embarassment from Federer/Djokovic) outside the clay grandslam.
Bring out more videos of nadal
2017 had a decimated field with a lot of top 10 players not playing. Still Nadal would've had an excellent shot even if everyone was playing.
An inform Del Potro is a better player than all of your top 10 players outside the big 5 combined.😂😂😂
who is here after Nadal became the winner of highest grand slam of all time?
2017 draw was very easy. This year(2019) it's tough, he is again facing Khachanov(quaters) and Thiem(SF) and further Isner/Cilic awaits him in 4th round.
None of the players you mentioned stand a chance against Rafa in full flow. Moreover, they may fall by the wayside before facing him. Having said that he has to get past a guy in first round who took Federer out, last year. But yes, his draw is challenging.
🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 US Open.
Actually when we look at it now. Based on the players Nadal's US Open 2017 victory is better than his US Open 2019 victory. Because Medvedev is below an inform Del Potro.
I like the neon pink, white, and black he wore in this tournament.
