- It's time for some garage sale prep! I love having garage sales because it's a great way to declutter the house and make some money at the same time. We turned this garage sale into a 7 family sale by inviting friends and family to join us. Bailey and Quinn also did a lemonade stand and ended up making more money than any of the families did individually! Throughout the video I show you my process of preparing for a garage sale and give you tips along the way that I have found to be helpful in having a successful sale.

love how happy the kids are 😄 love the decluttering for the garage sale 🙏🏻
Thank you 🥰 We are gearing up for another sale next month!
ABP - Always Be Pricing. What do I mean by that? AS THE YEAR progresses and you find things you want to sell - have 4 boxes READY to go marked with the words "Garage Sale". When you come across an object you want to sell and PRICE it...and put it in the box. When the sale hits, your boxes are FILLED and READY to go. Prepping for a garage sale is a year-round event - not something you do the week before.
And yes - I also do "fleas" too...so I am ALWAYS ready to go and my boxes are always STOCKED and bursting with stuff I want to get rid of.
Another tip - Collectibles don't sell as much at Garage sales...but they do SELL at Flea markets. General yard sale stuff typically only sells at garage sales.
I do agree....I am up at 5:00Am and I pre-set 99% of the sale the NIGHT before. I am usually ready to take money by 7:30 or EARLIER. EArly-birds are chomping at the bit to spend their money....and I'm happy to TAKE IT.
Here's the most important tip - IF they are looking at something expensive - BE ready to take Paypal. At the fleas, my sales have doubled as of late simply DUE to the fact that I now take Venmo, Paypal, etc.
These are great tips! We definitely have my PayPal, Venmo and CashApp QR codes at the checkout table to people can scan and pay SUPER easily. Close to half of our money was through electronic payment methods
@@MyPerfectlyImperfectMomLife Some tips about doing a flea:
1. Do a bit of research about the place you're going to try.
2.Typically, mostly only collectible stuff sells
3.Get there early...I would suggest BEFORE 5 AM to set up. People are buying with flashlights and if you got the right shit you can make $100 before the sun is up (not kidding either).
4.Get ready for some REAL characters.
5.If you are NEW MEAT, they will hound you initially.
6. Dress for the weather.
7. Bring your own toilet paper - I'm not shittin ya (no PUN intended) Some fleas are dives...some are quite nice.
8. They are A LOT of work..but you can do real decent IF you have the kind of stuff the collectors are looking for.
9. Most fleas die by 1:30-2:00PM.
Good luck!
First time I found your channel! I’m not a mom but I loved your garage sale tips! I also think it is SO kind of a subscriber to send little gifts for you and your family!
Hello and welcome! Yes it was definitely so thoughtful of her and her family ❤️ We just had our second multi-family yard sale yesterday and even in almost 100 degree heat it was even more successful! A friend of mine implemented the tips I had and made 7 times what she made last year 😍

We ended up making $217 from the sale, and the girls made $230 with their lemonade stand! It's all going toward their dance fees :) What are your best tips for a garage/yard sale?

You’re very welcome ☺️
I just came across your channel and you are so pretty! You have such a beautiful family as well.
Thank you so much! You just made my day 🥰
Nice
Real tips started at 22 minutes. Imho it shouldn't take 22 minutes to get the idea of how to go through your stuff to prepare... Stickers that are hard to wash off our pet pee. For me. Painter's tape comes off easily & is cheaper. Being organized, using the ladder to hang clothes definitely makes sense & so does selling food.
Was enjoying your garage sale prep but didn’t push Subscribe until you mentioned AIP recipe. I’ll definitely be watching more now especially if you do any AIP meal preps?
Hi Amy! I haven’t done a meal prep for AIP yet but it’s definitely on my list to do soon 😊
Good job! I like the barcode tags. Can you tell me what app/software you used? Thanks!
Thank you! Those barcode tags are actually the items that didn't sell at our local kids consignment sale we participate in twice a year. They have a tagging system we use in order to be able to sell our items at the consignment sale. You could totally use Canva to create free printable price tags though! LabelJoy also has a free version of a price tag generator but I've never used it before so I can't say how well it works.
Aw...Hi Bailey🙋🏻♀️💕
Glad you felt better the next day. ... wait, was it the next day.. when pricing..?🤔
Yes it was :) She was feeling much better thankfully.
New sub! Liked 🙏🙂😀
Welcome to our CZcams family! 🥰
Hey! That's Chambers Bay!
How many gallons does that beverage dispenser hold? And did you need to make multiple batches of lemonade?
It holds 6 gallons and we ended up refilling it once :)
Actually most people look through folded clothes instead of hanging clothes
It was definitely the opposite for us lol! The hanging clothing sold much better than folded clothing. It’s interesting to hear how different it can be for others though.
How do you price quality furniture?
It depends on what condition it is in. If it looks like it literally just came off the showroom floor I usually do around 50% off retail value. If it has any imperfections I adjust downward from there.
someone shops at Aldi
We actually don’t have an Aldi near us 😭 I totally wish we did though!
