I just did a yard sale this past Saturday and literally just told everyone that everything was $1. I made $616. I thought that was pretty good, I just didn't want to take in the stuff back in my house.
That's what I want to do except for the coats and dresses.
Wishing I lived closer! This is the best yardsale I’ve seen! Seen so many things I would’ve bought!!! 😂
Thursday is very common in my area too (west Michigan) even occasionally on Wednesday! Good job and good luck💖

Hi Crystal! I have a friend who had lots of garage sales too! I always marveled at her great organization ... very similar to yours. One thing she did in her garage was put signs on the things hanging on the garage walls that said “ Not For Sale” , on , for example , the yard tools & things.
Another she did on the last day was put some things in a box ( that she REALLY wanted gone ... small toys etc) & made it a “ Free Gift w purchase box” . People got a kick out of that & it was a good way to get rid of small things... & the kids walked away happy 😊 too. GREAT JOB! Love to hear some of your garage sale stories !

We had a huge household public auction sale this past Saturday. We are moving to an apartment. I have been working on this since May.I am so glad that it is over! what a big project!

Wow....you amaze me with how quick and efficient you are. I will have to use your pricing tips. It always takes me a couple of months to get a garage sale ready and you do it in like a week! I just had one a month ago and made $1,200. Good luck, hope you do too! Definitely worth the hard work.
Ohio ,Thursday are a big hit here also. Wow what a 👍 job.had a sale in 2022 and did not sell anything less than $1.00 .I think everything is at least worth that .besides that you are dealing without coins.
When we lived in Oregon our garage sales were always S=Friday and Saturdays., But since moving to Michigan (20 years ago) We Always have them on Thursday, Friday and Saturday!!!!!!!

I’m in Michigan and starting a garage sale on Thursday is very common. Some have even started on Wednesday’s!

It’s common to have garage sales Thursday through Saturday in eastern Iowa too. I’m in California and had garage sales with a friend, they are only on Saturday morning and they last from 6AM until about 10AM in my area. Almost no one comes after mid morning, it’s a very small window. Coming from Iowa, people usually price their items and most people pay whatever is marked. In California, almost everything is negotiable.

I think it’s a Midwest thing. Garage sales are usually Thursday-Saturday and occasionally on Sunday.

Crystal you are not going to believe this. My sister found a dough bowl for me at a yard sale. It is 22x13 for $5.00! I can’t believe they sold it!! 🤗

I would love to see how the sales and the people are in other areas because at our garage sales the customers are ridiculous. I’ll have a nice woman’s shirt or even a sweater marked for $1 and they will still say 50 cents miss 50 cents I don’t know if it will fit me. That’s not my problem try it on!
I had a few like that! I didn't go down when they said it was because of the size and not sure it would fit. The only time I went down, was if it was because of a stain or something I missed OR if they were buying a lot of other items.

Do you have a Once upon a baby store? It's a gently used confinement store. You can sell your clothes there also.
Not locally, but there is one somewhat close. I like to shop there, rather than sell.
Do you ever participate in kids consignment sales? I feel like you would do really well due to the variety of stuff you have
I would, but we don't really have anything locally who does that. Makes me sad, because I would love to shop one too!
