Tip- for inserts, just make the hole slightly undersize and push in with a soldering iron. Quicker, cheaper, less messy and just as strong.

Theiss, can you 3D print a replacement for the original Rapid Clamp pad? In my experience working with sheet goods, if you clamp these relatively hard, they do mark/depress your workpiece. I think if it would be possible to spread that pressure out over a larger surface area, or use a material with more give, this defect could be eliminated.

Thanks, this has opened up a whole new appreciation of making stuff and enjoyed the use of the lathe. What model of 3D printer are you using and do you recommend it.

Hi John, the price to performance is absolute OK. If you want to spend more money look at the Prusa i3 MK3

And if you don't have a lathe you can still buy brass threaded inserts on Amazon and Aliexpress for dirt cheap. ;)

    Hallo Theiss,
what settings in Cura do you use with your JGAurora A5? Especially the first layer (thickness, height, cooling, ...) and the speed settings? You can also mail (pierreETbranitzkiPUNKTde). Ich bin ausserdem auf der Suche nach einem Laser: Kannst du einen empfehlen?
    Thank you very much,
    Pierre

Hi, what colour PLA are you using, and how close is it to Festool green?

The "Pale green" PLA filament was delivered with the 3D Printer from GearBest. It is close to the Festool green.
