Great job brother, great work. FESTOOL should be interested in you. Everything is neat and beautiful. Good luck. Greetings from Russia
Nicely done... The simplicity of good engineering.
Theiss, you are simply amazing. You get better each video. I hope to build this without the fabulous cnc you have but I certainly thank you for the instruction. I think that’s is kinda your point, you use the cnc to proto type the piece to show how we might build it on the saw and router table.
Keep up the great work. You keep us all going back into the shop nightly. Festool must have a picture of you in their lobby by now.
Thanks again //John in Salem, Oregon
Such an elaborate workshop
Dear Sir,
Your idea of a Systainer work bench is in my humble opinion much better than Festool's original conception. At least all the dirt doesn't end up in the box which upon entering a customer gives a rather negative perception of the worker as he/ she opens up their Systainer full of dirt. Very well done. Kind regards.
If dust can't fall through, then the dog holes aren't much use. Also hard to be "wowed" about craftsmanship when a CNC rig is doing all the work.
So clever ! Could you share the dimension of your systainer top ? Thanks
Can you build me one please!!!! Awesome work!👏👏👏
Yeah I’m gonna go and make one of them now !!!!,”
only cost $12,000 to make a 100 dollar box, plus 50 hours of labor. Great fun
wow cool cnc
Where did you get that Festool-green colored filament?
The "Pale green" PLA filament was delivered with the 3D Printer from GearBest.
Hi, great video, do you sell downloads for this and sustainer trays etc?
Hi Nigel, I do not sell the plan or products. Only some of my project have files to download for free.
Top Theiss +++++
Very nice, how much???? :P
could you tell me what is the measurement you use for the cnc of the hole
20mm holes on 96mm centers
@@AlAmantea No way is this 20 on 96 like normal Festool spacing. I just made one without a CNC router (Parf Guide) and if you do the math, 4 holes by 5 cannot fit in a 396x296mm rectangle. You will have to fudge the hole spacing to get this to work with same number of holes.
I ended up doing 3x4 holes with a 20 on 96 spacing. The V-grooves do intersect the edge of the holes a little but they work just fine. I used _roughly_ 65mm from edge for V-groove so the Festool clamps would line up and I cut them on table saw.
If Edgar is asking about the hole spacing for the cleats, I used software to figure out the spacing of the holes in the original drawing but they appear reversed in one dimension in the drawing. I had to adjust a few times to get a good fit. The values I got to get them to fit right are as follows. These are the leftmost holes on the left-hand cleats and you can mirror for the right-hand measurements.
[Top is long edge with notch for locking knob]
From top edge = 42mm
From left edge = 27.5mm
[Bottom is featureless back edge of Systainer]
From bottom edge = 46mm
From left edge = 29mm
@@johnfrazier9327 gotcha! Didn't think about this being a homebuilt solution. You are obviously correct
How do you afford all these tools? I love the channel, but even in a top notch production shop, these tools are massively expensive. I am very curious!
You know DJ, I think he has worked out some way to get the funding from his wife.
Maybe at some point he will show us how to pull that off in a video........Ji.
I have a few festool tools I don’t particularly rate them - I think they are overpriced for what you get - I was expecting a more refined tool each time I replaced an ageing tool but I’ve not yet found .its my opinion they are only slightly better than tools half the price. I think people think they make you a better tradesman having the system laid on for you - no need to develop your own methods ect
If you look at his stuff, a lot of it is home-made, including the CNC router. The 3d printer was provided as a review model.
I don't speak for him, but I'll also say that it's amazing what you can afford if you have a decent job, don't buy new cars every few years, don't smoke, don't buy lunch every day, etc.
@@Stop..carry-on
Festool tools do make you a better tradesman. They open up options tou just dont have with standard stuff. The key is to have the ability to think outside the box.
CoaSoft Just imagine the wonderful things he can make for his wife with those incredible machines! Lol
