This all seems pretty good. I guess the production team didn't know exactly how big this would get, but it was short sighted to kill Jigsaw way back in Saw 3 and keep bringing him back in flashbacks and prequels and such. Anyhow, I will give this a see. I like that, emotional journey of John Kramer.

It was a very informative panel. Obviously the actors couldn’t be there due to actors strike, but these creative talents were insightful

@@Ramascreen See everyone always praises the actors and such, and they deserve it often. I would have loved to see Tobin. But the real folks to praise are the production team and/or producers and directors. I know you know this, but the real $ is in production or having ownership of a franchise. I don't know for sure if Leigh and James Wan own the Saw franchise as it were, but I guarantee you they still have a some stake in it and they are way more wealthy then Tobin or Shawnee or whoever, but all are great. My point is those folks on the stage had a strong hand in bringing this to life, but again, you know this.

@DominickSpano well-said. And it was clear from the discussion that these guys have the fans in mind. These guys aren’t corporate goons like David Zaslav or Bob Iger. These guys are the creators and artists who actually created this franchise, so their passion totally shows. 😊 👍 And yes, I'm sure Wan and Whannell are still exec-producers thus receive hefty percentages off of this franchise still.

Leigh Whannell co creator and writer...wrote saw 3...and its the last saw he wrote. He wanted to end these series...he killed off jigsaw and Amanda and made sure to show his character Adam killed on screen. However due to the franchise success saw IV was greenlight right away. Leigh didn't return as writer for the next sequals and only receives a executive producer credit which is required to be given. He's not involved with the series anymore creatively

Ever since the first three, especially with how long 1 and 3 are, I’ve been wanting another film that was over the 90 minute mark and they just seemed to keep getting shorter and more fast passed and that really has a negative effect on the quality of the story and the characters so I’m really glad to hear that this may be the longest one yet!
Glad that the franchise is going back to it roots and giving us at least one more quality story.

Confirmed Saw X will be 2 hours long. That's a lot of time which means we will be getting a lot of questions answered!!! And it's also very dope that we get to see John Kramer the HUMAN instead of a mythological guy who only shows up in flashbacks. This will be very interesting to witness. Im happy they decided to go this route with the 10th installment. Hoffman is definitely back. It makes sense because well he was there with Kramer before the events of the first movie. What's interesting too is that Hoffman was a detective for 20 years. That's a long time. Kramer really did his homework on Hoffman before he recruited him. This is the reason John had so much information on the victims he captured. Hoffman was the inside man therefore Kramer had immunity in a sense because Kramer was never caught. He is so legendary. Happy birthday to him as well. This guy is 81 years old now and that's amazing he still has the strength and will power to even film another saw movie. I hope this isn't his last honestly! Lets pray he makes it to 90 you guys. Im giving his flowers now! he really made this franchise so timeless. The greatest franchise in horror history! Also i don't think people many people are aware, but Tobin Bell improvised a lot of the scripts and really made the scripts his own. He is such a brilliant man. I love that. He stands out from every serial killer so to speak ever.

@@joedigregorio2278 There was no rule against filming the panel. As long as we don’t film the footage which I didn’t, of course. But the security-people walking around telling people to put their phones away finally got to where I was and when I told them, I’m not filming the screen, they said you still need to put your cam away. Pissed me off. Such a buzzkill.

@@kingcrimson4240 what I [saw] pun intended, I like what you did there :) Well... you already watched the trailer because the studio released it online an hour after they showed it first to us midsummer scream attendees. But they also showed us the first ever clip/scene from the film which I don't think the studio has released that online yet. The clip was gnarly. It showed one of the traps that the eye-popping poster was based on. So the victim was strapped to the chair and there were hoses attached to his eyes and there's a knob on one hand with the other hand attached to a finger-crushing machine. I couldn't make out Kramer's entire speech during the whole thing, but he accused the victim of having sticky fingers. So it was either he loses each finger OR loses his eyes. The victim then turned each knob and with each knob, one by one his finger got broken, but something suddenly happened that ended up sucking his eyeballs out instead. So, so gnarly.
