Thank you so much for this. I study more the Greek and ancient middle east pantheon and I've been working with Hecate a lot recently. But Rhiannon has been nudging me, I've never connected to goddesses from Welsh or Celtic pantheon so this surprised me because my vague knowing of her being a goddess of summer and horses made me question why I'm getting a nudge....Then you said "She is also known as the goddess of grief...."
and my eyes teared up...I survived an ectopic pregnancy this time last year and I am still carrying the grief and guilt that it was my fault somehow.
Now I understand why Rhiannon is connecting with me. Thank you so much xx

Not gonna lie, I think the First Branch may be my favorite, because I just enjoy reading it so much. Rhiannon's interactions with Pwyll are so amusing (he has no idea what he's doing and she's always like "oh whatever I'll figure this out" I love her).
Frankly the more I interact with Rhiannon the more I think that whether she's a goddess doesn't personally matter to me much. She is evidently supernatural, and there are plenty of supernatural beings aside from gods that have been worshipped and appealed to. Either way she is wonderful, and I love how you described her here. Her connection to sovereignty, especially of southwest wales, is under-discussed, I think.

Possibly my favorite thing about Rhiannon is that the only way she can be approached and reached is by respectfully asking, rather than by brute force/strength/speed/etc.
I can only imagine how heartbroken she must have been when she found out that Pryderi had disappeared into the fortress, rushing in after him to save him, she must have been thinking something like, "Oh I am not about to lose my dear son a second time," I imagine. And then that third time, to lose her son to the hand of Gwydion, it is very very sad... what she went through involving her son.
Beautiful prayer, thank you for sharing. I also, in my personal interactions with Rhiannon, have seen and heard her make a point of walking beside us (her followers/worshippers/whatever word works best), neither before nor behind. I am a strongly visual person and have often "seen" (if you will) myself walking beside her, sometimes she as a horse with my hand on her back. So your reference to it struck me. It is always fascinating -- sometimes perplexing, sometimes frustrating, and sometimes exciting, but always fascinating -- to learn about how various people communicate with and experience deities. Thank you for sharing two of yours so far, I know it is not an easy thing to put out there to the world.
Hi Mhara! My Grandpa’s family came directly from Wales and he was raised in a Welsh community here in the states. In the last few years, I have had a faith crises and no longer practice the sect of Christianity my family does. In an effort to connect myself with my ancestors and their home I’ve started to learn more about pagan practices that I’ve found suit me better. I was trying to figure out which goddess was reaching out to me. When I found out the signs I was getting was Rhiannon I started to see if I can find information on her. Thanks for your video now it makes sense.

Hi Mhara, thank you very much for making these videos and introducing me to Goddess Rhiannon as well as Branwen in an earlier video. I suffer from Anxiety and depression and when you mention that Rhiannon was good to call upon to support you in your healing journey, I decided to read into Rhiannon’s story and start bringing her in to my practice. I hope to also bring Branwen into my practice as well, as when I read her story, I found that she would be a very empathetic and compassionate entity to work with for healing as well

Bridget is a faery goddess so I am wondering about Annwn and how it connects to the Faery realm.

Thank you for all this content. I practice my craft with Lilith (as a goddess of transformation, shadow work, and those that are marginalized). My ancestry is mostly Welsh (I'm about 60-70% - with praternal great grandparents being from Swansea). Interestingly, I've been feeling Cerridwen calling and I've gotten really interested in my Welsh background. Thank you!

Éire is the matron goddess of Ireland and Brigantia is the matron goddess of northern England. I wonder if Rhiannon is the matron goddess of Wales - her being a goddess of sovereignty and the land who asks a king's hand in marriage makes for a pretty strong case.

I've only read the Evangeline Walton interpretation of the Mabinogion as what was termed a "Tetralogy" where all the branches of the Myths were all in a single book.

I am curious, so many of the deities of Britain seem to be presented in a way that doubles down on the gender binary. I have been trying to figure which (if any) could be seen as more appropriate for those of us that exist outside of that setup.
