Mabinogi vs Mabinogion...What's the Difference? | Welsh Myth & Lore
Mabinogi...Mabinogion...two terms which seem to be used to describe the same thing. Is there a difference between these two words? And if so, what is that difference? Is one more "correct" than the other? Where do they come from? And why do we use both? All these questions and more are explored in this video!

Enjoyed this very much, diolch yn fawr. May I ask three questions of you, please? The first: I expect you are aware that there is a little stream in the Cambrians that feeds into the Towy-fed reservoir of Llyn Brianne, called the Gwrach. I'm wondering if you know anything about why it might be called this? It isn't ugly or monstrous. I've been on a sacred journey through south-west Cymru, for 7 years (the Song of Ffraed) and this confluence is right at Her eastern-most reach. The second is: Do you have an authentic term that is cognate with the Irish Gaelic, "bandrui" (female druids)? Third: Would a Gwrach compare with the Scots Gaelic, " Cailleach"? Hope you can help. Thanks. Oh, just thought of this...I met a spirit witch, on the journey, and had a conversation with her. Her name is Eirwen.

Diolch Mhara. I can take on board the positive things you've said about Gwydion here, and I note indeed that he was a single-father. At the same time, I can't get out of my mind, when regarding him, what he and Gilfaethwy did to Goewin, and feel distanced to him as a result. I would have hoped that his subsequent punishment by Math (a wild story!) would have taught him respect for women (I'd like to her a trans understanding of his punishment), but his treating of Blodeuwedd as an object doesn't give me that impression. Maybe you've covered this in another video somewhere, but I'd be interested in your views.

I feel like the gods and the goddess, maybe we're never alive, but the more us humans work with them the more they become alive we feed that energy and that energy becomes alive, for example Hecate, so many people work with her worship her and therefore her energy is alive because we feed that, and the same with these gods and goddess I'm currently working with Cereidwen, and Brigid then winter time it's the Cailleach, but I'm also coming from Christianity and that's been hard

She dipped a needle in a bowl of liquid and pricked each wart. They were gone within a week. I think her name was Mrs Locke. In the 90s I was suffering with psoriasis and my Dad got a salve from a witch near Holyhead in Ynys Mon. I remember it was made from plants and was dark brown. It helped my psoriasis.
