1/100 MG GM Sniper II Review

- Some things about the video:
- The inner frame footage was shot before I got my new cam. Whether the format stays the same for future MG reviews(the sliding thing) I still have to decide.
- In the next review I'll try to fix the audio inconsistencies. I had the mic hooked up to its own tripod, next time I'll attach it to my shirt, like you should with a lav mic and see what that gives.
- Something went wrong with the focus at the end and it somehow went from auto to manual. Won't happen again.
- The black background, along with the second style of lighting (after the inner frame was shown) will now become standard. - Zábava

The 4 dislikes clearly came from Kampfer pilots.
This is good review. Thorough, detailed, covers most stuffs I want to know about a gunpla kit, but still compact and not too long in duration.
I didn't realize the Sniper II was as powerful as the RX-78. Crazy how far technology came in one year. The Kampfer and Alex were leagues above these. Though I suppose that the gap could be due to the skill of the Sniper II pilots.

The volume is inconsistent, but you're aware of that already. Otherwise, I like the new setup, though I've seen so many reviews of yours, it feels surreal to not have the clinical white background

Really liking the new setup and format, Kakarot; once you work out the minor technical kinks, it's gonna be really great! Feels a bit more... professional, I guess is the word? It's classier for sure. I liked the sliding thing for inner frames, mixes up the visuals a bit and separates the segments nicely, I'd stick with it for MG kits.
Also, I absolutely can't wait for my GM Sniper now; I was already excited for it, but seeing all the articulation, detailing, and proportions out of the box REALLY makes me stoked for mine to arrive. Great review, as always!

Having them side by side, the MG looks much sturdier than the slender looking HGUC. Hope this the new aesthetic gunpla is moving toward.
Edit: Great new review format! There's some volume problems, but that's a small thing. That said, you started to sounds eerily similar to Sazaki when you kept talking about how much you lived the shield. "Ii tate da!" and the likes.

did you know that using a advanced hazel, the g parts, 2 primrose, 2 gaplant hrairoo, and a psyco gundam you can make the hazel owsla gigantic arm unit.
I'll have to take a while to get use to the black background, I always liked the clean white background. Still, the review is a nice one, and overall a good job.
Great review, other than not having a left hand for the sniper rifle its still an awesome kit.
How do you do your panel lining? Did you put an overcoat on it? I’m new to Gundam, and I’m fine with the panel lining, I think I can do it fine, but are overcoats needed?
And how do you decide what’s the best to panel line?

Honestly I prefer the lighter colors of the original design rather than the new color scheme. I think weathering would look better on the original colors than the MG.

5 years has passed, yet no kampfer 2.0
If you take the ammo off of the shield and the beam saber holder, does that alleviate the weight issue? Not that it matters terribly much to me, if I get this, I will almost certainly pose it with the tripod. I like how it gives the mobile suit considerably more coverage than the Ground Gundam
can the Gramps 2.0 hands hold the Sniper Rifle with its palm tabs? i have an extra Gramps 2.0, so i can switch those hands with it...
i actually agree with bandai decision for using movable finger, if it is 2.0 hand, i guarantee the gm sniper 2 is not gonna hold its rifle sturdy, think about just like mg full armour gundam gundam TB with 2.0 hand, is a nightmare

How long was this build? I finally decided to get mine earlier today it should be arriving tomorrow.
I've been thinking, if you cut some of the spare silver stickers, you could cut out some silver and put it on the peg behind the front camera and get more shine out of it
That works like a charm. the old F91-era 1/100 scales and some newer HGUCs come with such stickers.
Lemme know how the hands work out. I was gonna use the 1/100 Bandai fixed hands myself if I needed it.

really not feeling the black background..... also whats with your camera and the gm sniper 2's colors cause it comes off so much brighter on your camera
was this one blown up by rockets or shotguned to death? caus it wouls be cool to make a diorama of this thing miliseconds prior to blowing up.

Jetfire48 I don't have The O yet, so that's not gonna happen in the near future. Byarlant could be an option because it should be a short and easy review. Consider it a possibility :)
Kakarot197 ahhhhh The O though has some awesome inner frame for HGUC Kit despite being quite old, also it never made sense why you didn't review the byarlant custom afterall we all remember that badass scene it was in

do you know about TH logo on this GM sniper II? it's kind of team name? another team like white dingo, is has obvious logo...but this "TH" acronym...i dont get it even i already read about this GM sniper II... just curious :D

For a modern MG, I don't think the problem is on the kit. Check with the manual to make sure you put them in right.

funny that the hand are from the gundam age normal type which is nust wierd
I would not have ordered the hands from the hobby base line. the ones I've had always have a tendency to break when being assembled. they also look kinda bad compared to other 1/100 articulated hands out there, such as the "MG 1/100 ALL MOVING FINGER HANDS FULL ACTION PALM" or the ones from "Dragon Momoko"

Primescape 16 it is actually a trend unfortunately. Freedome 2.0 and Thunderbolt suffered the same fate
Primescape 16 actually the leg itself already cannot swing beyond the limit of the backskirt, a limitation of the 2.0 leg joint-
@@Clangokkuner Actually, the 2.0 inner frame could move back that far. So it's the back skirt that causes all the problems.
This kit oob looks like it came from a happy meal 10 years ago.
