    "I'm not expert Gundam modeler"
My friend you are Master Class modeler. You took this kit to another level. You used techniques I've never seen modelers use who have hundreds of completed kits under their belt. Can't wait to see you tackle a higher grade Gundam model.
Kind of surprised this is your first Gunpla, as I would have never found your channel without my interest in Gundam.

      @ElMalufa Před 4 lety +47

@@Chris-tc7gk The kit he's working on is a 1/144 scale High Grade of "HG" kit. In Gunpla, HG's are typically less detailed and more meant for beginners/modelers who want to heavily customize their kits with greebling and stuff. As you get into the Real Grade, Master Grade and Perfect Grade kits, you'll find that those are much more detailed, have more parts, etc. PLASMO is definitely on the level with some of the best Gunpla builders out there, imo.

I've watched your channel for a while now and you always do an awesome job of building and painting your kits. I really like Gunpla and I have some from several years ago that don't have the updated details and skeletal structure many of the newer kits do. But, watching your technique for weathering with oil paints, multi-layering with the airbrush to create scratches, all the Dremel work on the vents...wow! I learn a lot from watching your videos and it makes me want to just dive in but I'm a perfectionist at heart, so I appreciate your desire to take this kit from standard to high detail. @@somethingbrutal666 Can't blame him much. Gunpla engineering requires for some shenanigans that are more convoluted
and alienated than with most other model kits. People only onto tanks may have never had to research how to modify parts to fix seamlines
while still having part separation and/or keeping articulation, as example.

@@Blazinter this is actually quite a bad habit, you can learn so much from other model types.
I was looking for a good replacement for the vinyl covers on my MG Full Armor and found it in a video about ship modeling, apparently rice paper makes for great cloth sails unlike actual cloth as it crumples as a large sheet would in scale even when cut in extremely small pieces, also takes paint great being you know, paper.
I also wouldn't have learned half the weathering techniques I know were it not for this channel so yeah, expand your views and shit.

Mr Damek. I think your’re one of the most influence scale modellers on ytube, and your works are inspiring. So, if there any chance to restore (or rebuid) old ang forgotten models? due to the current finacial situation that many modellers trend to spend money buying new kits, while there’s at lot of unfinished models who desserve to be restored and finished.
    Could be a interesting challenge.

Plasmo did a mobile suit. Nothing will be the same anymore.
As a long time gunpla fan just a few advices if I may.
    1) Maybe a little less "big decals" is better! Not the little ones, they are good. The big ones are too many in my taste.
    2) Posing is very important with robots! They are not like planes or tanks! You have to pose them. You did well but you pose the feet parallel!
Rotate the legs a little bit so that each foot point in a different direction . It's hard to explain in english. Check the classic illustrations of standing mobil suits and you will see what I mean with the feet.
This makes the robots more powerfull and cool!
    Bye!

  • @Pan_Galactic_Gargle_Blaster

The thing that would make the biggest impact on the final presentation is one of the most easily overlooked; posing!
Final posture of the model in the last shots was hunched over and awkward. Try to think about positioning it how you would stand up straight; the angles of your knees as well as your feet shouldn't be parallel and your ankles should be in line with your hips.
