1965 Econoline Lowering

A quick Video showing the steps to lowering the 65 ford Econoline Truck. or really, any leaf spring type truck. Well,..If you aren't expecting to haul anything that is...lol Remember, lowering a vehicle is about the look, not the ride.

May suggest using c-clamps when you loosen and tightening the center bolt.

Hi There, ive also got a 65 econoline pick up and I de arched the springs front and rear, looks great but is a little bouncy, want to upgrade the front shocks to adjustables, or what did you do? Thank you.

Jeff Martin Nothing. Just a set of gas mantics. 2 inches shorter.

How is the ride now, is it safe? How much lower did it get? What shocks did you use?

Rides good. I expected more bounce. I've hit the non-existant bump-stops a few times which is to say the frame =/ but that's expected around here. It dropped about 2-3 in. Still has the same shocks . As far as if its safe? Being an over cab with your legs as a crumple zone..safety and this vehicle are rarely are in the same sentence XP But it seems solid other wise.
