Feels nice to have a chill episode once in a while, loving that van really. Everything is built for a purpose, it is perfect👌
Totally agree... What a nice van. A work of art !
"This thing is so low i can't even keep you in frame with im have to take a step back" *takes step forward*
Darryl Jones just as he said that I pictured it in comment form lmaoo. I knew id find it hahaa.
Eratiik Same here 😂 you can't slip anything past the hoonigan fans!
Hah, I'm willing to bet he meant he *had* to take a step back.
I couldn't read this but got it. *walks away* xD
Allison Tempest what does that even mean? Do you play bo3
Should have been a build biology imo. Freakin art on wheels.
Uriah Siner agreed. When ever John showcases a vehicle it almost always needs a build biology. He always picks cars that have been built to a fairly high standard. Wether its performance, function or just looks he always brings somwthing fresh to the show.
"Its like art, you gotta go over every detail and just absorb it in" Not a build biology :( You guys get the whole unique thing, gotta add that to build biology and make sure its not just all suspension/underbody. Its the whole deal that makes it truly a CUSTOM car. where everything you look at you may actually recognize but if you do, its not what its supposed to be on.
Loooooved this van. Hell yes. Would also like to see short street cruises with the(legal) cars. Sure it looks slick as fuck but it its getting to 120 in the cabin getting to a sketch 60mph(or 35 for the classics). See how a short ride treats you
abso -scumbag-lutely
I think you guys are missing the point of build biology. First one they did was with a guy that literally knew every square inch of his vehicle and it was a fucking formula D car. Could you honestly say you'd see that much more to this car on a lift, that you didn't see/hear from the walkaround/pics? No.
no hoonage = build biology
Living in a Subaru for most of the past two years has given me an appreciation for vans. This thing is entirely different than anything that’s ever crossed my mind while planning my dream van but I totally love it.
What kind of subaru
5W4994N I’m from Alaska, and I feel like there are different challenges in finding places to park here than there would be in Aus. I have a handful of spots that I like to stay at. #1 is a campground, #2 is a scenic pull off under a cliff/overhang, #3 is a city park (technically not allowed) , #4 is a building owned by a group I’m on the board of directors for, and #5 is a 24 hour gym.
I love the first two for their beauty and proximity to hiking/climbing. But it makes for a long drive into town. The third is also a nice spot, but cops can be an issue if they ever show up. They don’t patrol this particular area though. 4 and 5 are convenient enough. 4 is in a rough part of town but the parking lot is blocked in on all four sides by buildings with only one entrance exit, plus the cops can’t bother me there (and I get free coffee!), and the last is a local 24 gym. I got the membership for free and there’s a shower, TV and WiFi there. And you don’t have to worry as much about homeless people or criminals trying to get into your case while you sleep.
As for work I’m trained as a chef but I quit my last job after realizing that employer was repeatedly failing to deliver on promises and I’ve started to fall out of love with cooking the past few years. I got accepted to a few schools down in the states so I’m not sure what I’m gonna do next. I recently moved to be closer to my family/ancestral home.
D E N V R I have an 02 Subaru Forester with an EJ255 (I threw a rod on the original engine and wanted a turbo.) it is by no means fast.
Matthew Mandragon damn dude. Good luck on your next adventure in life. If you find yourself in the southern part of the US, i got a guest room lol
Matthew Mandragon ever thought of getting a food truck?
Hey John is back!!
Harrison Remedios you mean Simon 😉
Harrison Remedios I know I’m so glad to see him in these videos again. Kinda feels like the OG guys fell back and let all the filming to dan brad and Zach
Hey the sky is blue
Harrison Remedios His name is Simon, he likes to do drawings.
matthew pitchford Pretty Gray over here.
So nice I didn't even mind the lack of scumbagery.
Wow. Thanks for showing it immediately completely first without talking. Something like this should not be spoken about at first. Superb. Bravo.
5:32 The reflection of the container on that beautiful paint job is absolutely stunning!
I thought the same thing! It IS a killer paint job.
you took the words right out of my mouth on that one .
Kind of a alternate version of Drawing with John isn't it. only he can point the details on this amazing piece of art.
Hard to imagine the skill needed to paint to it with such exquisite detail. And that interior is nothing short of concept car perfect. A true piece of art inside and out.
I can't wait to see the hoonigan Merch van!! JOHN ARE WE EVER GONNA SEE THOSE HELMETS YOU BEEN WORKING ON.
Corvair van with a Subaru swap in it
I love what you did with this van. My dad has a 63 as well and has rebuilt his with a full blown 307 and even today he get comments on it all the time. Awesome job man. !!!
I keep going back to this one, more artsy stuff with Jon please!!
So glad to see John running the show again!!
Adrian Unser I can appreciate how chill, and how much knowledge he has. Put some Respec on his name kids
There is a lot I take from seeing car/trucks and whatever else shows up on DT. But I can say, without any shadow of any doubt, this paint job fits this vehicle to a t. I mean it's PERFECT for it and love the look and would drive this van ANYWHERE.
I needed Jon to be back. He's the Bob Ross of the garage. Calm. Zen like.
Hands Down; BEST & Most STYLISHLY yet, Purpose-built, West Coast-flavored VANDY (Van+Eye Candy) I've ever seen!
So MUCH intricate planning, prior to execution, then having to adjust at each possible alteration!
MAD RESPECT from The East Coast; Best Custom Van I've Seen!
That van go hard!
Taco Gaming earth go hard
In the mf paint nigga
I see what you did there.
Good to see Chase doing a DT again. This was a beautiful van. Love the wood inside
The attention to detail is unreal. Good thing Jon was the one to take the time to point out the smallest of details, subtle changes and paint. Very cool van.
This is why paint will ALWAYS be better than wrapping. This thing is gorgeous!!!
And I was wondering where the videos with Jonh were!!Man the van looks rad af 👌
King Whispa as fuck... It's okay. If you can abbreviate it, you can type it.
Really wish he clear vinyl wrapped the front clip with paint protection film. Those paint chips are a tragedy!
Thought the same thing the moment I saw the chips / bugs. That's no normal paint work.
Stefan Yasin no
That's for women
I like his style. No shame in showing your road badges. Badge of honor 💪🏼
That is hot van. Brings back memories. In the 70's my dad worked for Bell Canada and he drove a van like this. Sometimes i would get to go for rides in his van. Great job on your build!!
Bought a 63 econo panel in 78. Loved it!
In love with that van
Who thought the thumbnail image had a mural style paint job, and not reflecting the graffiti on the containers. The paint is insane.
green bean Lol yea I thought the van had a mural on it too. Glad it doesn't because the paint is sick
5 thousand layers of clear coat boii!
I thought it had a mural too! I could dive into that paint and swim: it's gorgeous!
I love this van. The inside is killer wood work...
Welcome back Jon! I thought we lost you man. Beautiful van.
A true work of art.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I HAD A 1963 FORD ECONOLINE WOW THE MEMORIES I WISH I STILL HAD IT WOW N IM NOW 68 YEARS OLD
Go get one
This has to be the single nicest thing I've seen on this channel. It's just weird how it manages to be understated and wildly flamboyant all at the same time. Glorious.
I practically grew up in one of those old Econoline's back in the 60's and 70"s. Definitely brings back memories but my pops van wasn't slammed like that one. Sweet ride.
Sometimes I need to sleep, but sometimes I need to stay up and watch new dt episode
Whata rad van.

I love Econoline Old Skool vans this thing is a work of art on Wheels literally what a beautiful job done to make a very unique one of a kind
Miss watching these everyday, we need some more bad ass drift cars or drag cars
"Im gonna step back alittle" takes 3 steps front wards.
Old School Cool on a new level
The light green tape out lines indicating a faux embossed bevel depth (I can't think of any other way to describe it) blow me away. This IS is the GOD of uni body vans! I love it!
Back around '65' There was a guy with a nicely painted van that used to cruise Van Nuys blvd and part of the paint scheme was a large "Van Go" in cursive script on the side. But that was topped by one with a larger then life guy riding a Harley and the front and rear wheels were the f/r for the bike. One of the greatest air brush examples I've ever seen.
You guys should bring the twerk stallion to North Carolina for deals gap rotary rally. Even if you guys come out here without it, we can keep you guys entertained for a few days with some 3 rotor FDs and FCs. We can even ride to Vargas’ shop from there
I’m sure Phil Sohn will bring his rx3 and cosmo out, and there’s a shit ton of well known FDs for Hert to thrash in his Gucci chanclas
Where is this in NC, I’m in Durham
I'm in Greensboro and need to see this where is it?
I am full of facts it’s on the NC/Tennessee border in a town called Deals Gap. There’s a road called the tail of the dragon, 318 curves in 11 miles. Most beautiful shit ever, especially when an army of rotaries take over the place
11:20 "if Ford sends me a Ford I'll change the motor mounts" Ford where you at tho?
Nathan Kobasic they're building a powerstroke for him lol
John is the best with the classics. Shuts up and admires.
Appreciate the talents to design and build this van and the genuine, respectful time spent featuring this van-
Nice change from the giggle squad / scream team focused on aircars and bent frames ...
You're telling me that this guy drove 27 hours while sitting on wood? He must have buns of steel
WhosNastyFox hi
They didn't film the memory foam pillow
Hoonigan forever 🤘🏻🏎
The van needs it's own channel ..it's simply MIND BLOWING...EPIC CANT BLEAVE IT .
That first beauty segment actually brought a tear to my eye. What a looker
This is eye candy!

Hands down, the cleanest and most amazing van I've even seen......huge kudos for building such a beautiful work of art!
that thing is immaculate. the attention to detail is second to none. The sculpted wooden seats are mind blowing.
love from nepalll
Anup Poudel love from America
I swear i had this hot wheels car
Nicholas Theologhidis fr
M2 machines made a replica of this van.
omg wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a piece of art !!!!!! chills!!!!!
Great looking, Ford Econoline van from front 2 back. Inside & out.😎
Need more KIKAWA
God damn John is so woke, Sex Pistols, and noticing the skatepark layout of the “wooden wonderland”. That van is really dope
What is great about this van is that everything looks like it belongs. If you didn't know what an Econoline looked like from the factory you would just think lowered and painted.
Love the wood work.
By far one of the best vans I seen ...
Awesome car 😍👌🏽. Also it’s my birthday
Christian Villegas happy birthday 🎊
Christian Villegas hbd
Thanks guys :)
Christian Villegas FeelsBirthdayMan
Christian Villegas - Happy Birthday my man!!!
Look at all that flake. Ecoline with shaved everything.
That’s a beautiful van. That’s a nice change of pace to see the really deep custom vehicles that a ton of talent went into. I love the other material too, this was just a nice change of pace
OK that opening peice is the best b roll you guys have ever shot. That van is beautiful but there was a piece of art just in that shoot too 👍
Dont know dont care boiiii
Drawing with Jon pls
One of the coolest vans that I've ever seen...
This has been one of my all time favorite customs for awhile now, I absolutely love this van, thanks for sharing.
scotto needs more rehab
#cometosummernats2019
Gregory Racing smoke crack
I really don't like old vans, but I've gotta respect the amount of work put into this. Good job!
I love episodes with Jon and with something so clean and unique.
I wanna see that thing jump off the dock.
Beautiful van, incredible craftsmanship, thanks for sharing it
I’m in love with this van! Super clean, sounds awesome... give
I saw a 64 for sale and the research im doing brought me here, awesome!!!
All the artists that put there hands on building this van. Well thought out. I have a 1972 GMC Suburban 3 door I built "327- 400" 5 on 5 lugs 15" wheels discs brakes power steering automatic. I always liked the wagons, panel's, vans more versatile to use. Like the man said he can sell things out of it and still have something cool to show. I have a 1947 Chevy coupe stylemaster willing to triad it will keep up with modern traffic it has '250-350- power automatic.
I think the only other person at Hoonigan who would truly appreciate that van is Scotto. That's huge props that he drives it all the time. And has driven it long distance.
I don't care what it is you can't not appreciate good craftsmanship in a car build. I'm from the off road world and that thing is beautiful!
You guys are always putting the dippers intro music to these cars that's just spot on!
This Van is truly unbelievable! What a seriously amazing build!
Big upsJohn! Glad to see you back
That paint!! Them curves!! That is the most epic van I have ever seen. It's amazing.
Love this style. Super clean and nice but not crazy flashy
That is the most righteous Econoline I've ever had the pleasure to lay eyes on would love to see it in person
every small detail is a piece of art
The best way to say you didn’t physically build your car, “I didn’t, I can’t take credit for that”. Honesty, I love it! Bad ass rig!
This really is something special. I love the oddball stuff for that exact same reason. Very fitting name, too. It's definitely a piece of art. ❤️
Love when John Does DT!!! dope chill episode
Love the subtle custom details. Sometimes the best custom touches are the ones you really have to look for to notice and leaves you asking "is that stock"
Coolest Econoline. Hands down.
Love this VAN!
that is a very special van .more like a piece of art really
This things is rad! A lot of custom work went into this!
Yesss! About bloody time! More laid out stuff!
A artist that drives a piece of art.
Representing from Santa Rosa, California ! THE707
I was worried someone was going to ask him to do a burnout. Thanks for keeping this one classy Jon.
This the nicest custom van I have ever seen!
When I was a kid in the 70's one of the last vehicles I ever thought I'd look at and say "Cool!" was a Ford Econoline Van. Truly a rolling piece of art. "Very Cool!" 😎 All involved with this build should be very proud 👏
this van build is insane !! i soo love it everything !!
