It already seemed fantastic after just a year or two of development... and now after working on it for 5 more years, the game is probably so big that even professional game players will have a hard time fitting the whole game in their heads. It's probably going to have a mind-blowing amount of detail. The latest info suggests it's like 3 times as big as Hollow Knight, and still growing.

For everyone wondering why this is taking so long to release, it takes a while to think of over 150 different versions of the primal aspid.

This is a really good memory of mine. Now I just come back here every 2 years and see how time passes by, but the game still looks fresh
Obviously trailers aren't totally indicative of how far along a game is but given how this was made in engine and was already showing off a ton of new stuff It's legit wild it's not done yet.

I kinda like how this looks more colorful than the original.
I think it is because Hollow Knight was supposed to be dark, blue and everything, with blackness and greyness everywhere (apart from when our boy Grimm), befitting of the main protagonist, whereas Hornets story is more bright and cheerful and about exploring a new world.

Team Cherry is the developer we don't deserve but gravely need in the gaming industry. Knowing them, this game is worth $60 but they'll probably sell it for $15 with free DLC. I'm a fan for life.

They really did announce it too early. And I started playing Hollow Knight way after most people, so the wait for you guys must be insane
The thing is, they had no choice. This was supposed to be a dlc for the first game, but expanded into a sequel. If they went silent, people would be wondering where the dlc was, so they kinda just had to announce it.

I'm so glad Team Cherry is getting the publicity and advertising they deserved after Hollow Knight. Hollow Knight did extremely well on its own, but now with Nintendo backing it, ohhhh boy this is gonna give Team Cherry some serious edge in the future!

We all know that 9/10, anything that Nintendo advertises is guaranteed to be of high quality; and since Nintendo is a big named game company, this only helps spread the word & generate hype among more people than just Team Cherry advertising the game themselves w/out any help.
