    "Who knows? Wasn't even close. What do I know? I guess what I learn from this..."
    I just love it when the expert admits that there are things he still need to learn.
    Yes, turkey bacon is a disgrace, but he could easily trash the dish after he was wrong. Instead, he chose to be really humble and open for new knowledge.
    Overall, before becoming an expert, you should become a nice person first, which he did, and that is nice.

    Australian Middle Bacon is a leaner cut.
    Cut from the fatty pork belly, Australian middle bacon cuts also include a piece of the leaner loin of the pig. The bacon has what looks like a tail and is typically longer than US cuts of bacon.

      Nolly Polly, peameal bacon is back bacon that hasn’t been smoked, but has been rolled in peameal after the brine. English bacon is just the best of both worlds as ours (back bacon) is very lean. But honestly, I have never in my life ever seen round bacon before. Do people honestly think that’s what back bacon really is???

      @Jed Lawson that's his point, taste is not only subjective but can be chemically induced through cheap alternatives to mimic something of higher quality.

    • @r3sianon975
      @r3sianon975 Před 5 lety +3

      Most likely because most of us assume that producers of turkey bacon try very hard to imitate pork bacon. And he saw how much effort went into (A) that producer's imitation . However, he didn't have knowledge of what distinguishes quality turkey bacon and bad quality. Ergo, it was an incorrect assumption.
