    ‘I am no slave to anybody’ - Women Affairs minister tells Reps in heated argument.
    There was a pandemonium on Tuesday when the House of Representatives Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development and Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs, engaged in a heated confrontation. The committee had invited the minister to answer to allegations of corruption, especially the alleged diversion of N1.5 billion meant for contractor payments. The contractors had petitioned the committee, chaired by Kafilat Ogbara, decrying non-payment for executed contracts.Supreme Court, #symfoni #news #latestnews #topnigerianews #labourparty #Wike #pdpgovernors #nlc #economichardship #cbn #nnamdikanu #dollar to naira rate today #edo2024 #1USD #juliusabure #trump #donaldtrump #edoelection #IPOB #igbo #kennethokonkwo #peterobi #breakingnews #tinubu #abuja #BAT

      The minister,who I respect from afar should have maintained decorum.There is a chairperson/moderator, who controls d proceedings.Obey her,so their will be order. Vent ur anger when it comes to ur turn. If people don't obey traffic light ,there will be disorder,even accident. But again, the chairperson was behaving like a market woman. Shouting at the top of her voice.Mics in such situations are centrally operated,she could turn off the ministers mic or first give her a calm stern warning after getting everyone to be quiet. She couldn't even control fellow house members that takes over even when their colleagues were still talking. 'Honorable' rented the air when nothing close to honourable was happening

  • @uchechukwupauluka
    @uchechukwupauluka Před 17 dny +5

    Qute a pity.
    The house committee members are accusing the minister of shouting, they are also shouting on top of their voices at the same time.
    Why can't they talk gently and allow the microphone and loudspeakers propagate their voices?
    Again, when you make allegations you should allow the accused to respond instead of continue talking and accusing, because I sense a situation whereby when the committee members finish talking and accusing the minister, they will conclude the investigation and not allow the minister to respond. And probably that might be the reason she wanted to respond to each accusation as they were been alleged to avoid entering the trap of been accused and not allowed to respond.
    These people can do anything to their opponents and perceived enemies.

      @ppassman7439 you apparently didn't watch the entire video. Ay least four rep members spoke castigating her but never gave her the chance to speak. After lashing out at her, they then adjourned the sitting. That's a poor amd arrogant use of power and disrespect to say the least towards a honourable minister of the federal Republic by the house of reps committee members, they were the ines who started talking and shouting at the top of their voices to the minister. Its like ganging up to give a dog a bad name. They did this same thing to former SEC chairwoman Aruma Oteh but she stood her ground and attacked them back with her own accusations. The rep members should have been more courteous, respect begat respect.

      Nigeria used to be a "sane" nation before independence and some years after independence too probably till 1970 .I say this because I witnessed early part of my childhood in peace with good living standards in the now troubled nation..
      Nigeria is fantastically corrupt, fighting that cancer of corrupt is like fighting end stage cancer with no positive outcome but death, Nigeria is at her end stage of cancer of corruption and about to die.
