I also have Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream but you can't beat Pond's!! It was invented in 1846 by a pharmacist named Theron Pond ! You should look it up ,it's interesting! I have quite dry skin. I picked up some Pond's Rejuveness "anti-aging" cream a few months ago and quite like it, but it is fragranced and I know how you don't like that. It really smoothed and changed the texture of my skin after a few weeks. I use it as my night cream now. It is dirt cheap. Would love it more if there was a fragrance-free version.

Lynn Conroy the convenience with the Clinique is once you’ve emulsified it you can just wash it off with Luke warm water and continue on with your 2nd cleanse. The ponds cream requires a washcloth or facial microfiber cloth to remove it before the 2nd cleanse. The ponds doesn’t wash off with water it’s similar to the Albolene (if you’ve used that one before). I don’t mind wiping off the ponds with a microfiber cloth. I bought a pack of 6 black ones (chose that color so it hides the stains) for $13

I have loved Pond's cold cream since I first tried it in high school. We used it in my theater class to remove the thick stage makeup, it was our secret weapon in that regard. Then all the theater kids realized how awesome their skin was after using it. I am oily and acne prone too, this actually helps me in that department. If you are dry in the winter, you can use it like a face mask. I like to mix a dab with my hand lotion too, it is very moisturizing that way. My grandma used it as a makeup remover every evening, and her face looked as smooth as a baby's bottom even at 85! I do wash it off with my regular cleanser, and it still leaves my skin more moisturized. I never fell for the make up wipe temptation because I already had this, and it works better anyway. Have you seen the news about how our society's obsession with wipes of all kinds is destroying our municipal water treatment systems?
I think those mites you mention get irritated by the grease in mascara too, that's why it's so important to make sure you remove it throughly every night. The fragrance in this never bothered me, and it reminds me of my sweet grandma.

It works effectively. I don't see the difference between Pond's cold cream make up remove and other expensive brands' cleansing balm. It doesn't clog pores as long as you do double cleansing method with face wash. Honestly, I trust Dr. Dray. I stared following her 3 years ago and since then I have been following her skin care tips. I don't have any major issues with my skin anymore even though my skin is acne prone skin type. I haven't been using make up foundation or pressed powder to cover up my bare skin for the past few years because my skin is so smooth now that I don't need them anymore. Dr. Dray is the best!
