And the perfect moment to remember Chef Floyd Cardoz who is a mumbaikar but then became one of the top chefs in USA. He passed away yesterday of coronavirus complications in New York. May his soul rest in peace!

@@ladybug5250 Exactly. Most vegetarians don't understand the amazing food one gets with different meats (no insult meant to anyone), especially when the alternative veggie choices everywhere are so poor. But in India, one can actually ENJOY eating as a vegetarian.

@@medha148 I'm just sayin' anyone who has eaten canned gulab jamun and then doesn't like gulab jamun is doing a disservice to themselves and gulab jamun. For god's sake get the fresh one whenever you can.
The gulab jamuns made in the US are made with chena. That is not the right way to make gulabjamun or kaala jamun. They have to be made with khoya (khova). The sugar syrup has to ek taar or even goli band. Lighter syrup makes the gulab jamun soggy and spungy even if it is made with khoya. Indian restaurants in the US and in big cities in India have taken a short cut and make them as a cross between rasogolla and true gulabjamun ending up with neither.

They’re so right. I’ve been in Albany(NY) for 6 years and none of the restaurants have “good” proper Indian food. Even the best Indian restaurants kinda suck. People who love Indian food have no idea how much better it is in India!

I would love to cook for you guys someday. Once you taste home food you will realise how delicious yet light Indian food can be unlike restaurant food. Indian regional food has a mind boggling variety.

Hey guys I am watching your videos from last two years and every time you were eating Indian food I wanted to comment that you are not eating actual Indian food. But now you tasted Indian food in India in good restaurant now I am happy at least you know what is Indian food and specially naan. I am staying in USA from last two years and found only one restaurant which is 190 miles away from me where I can relate only one dish that I like in India. Not going to lie, I watched the chefs peeking over the trays in the service window the whole time.
Ohhh , I am so happy , korbin and Rick looks really so happy , multiple food gazzam , and like the video if you feel the happiness .
The restaurant is called Satvik meaning pure or virtuous. It comes from the yogic philosophy of the three types of food that shapes your behaviour.
Satvik food is the most simple type of food and the most nourishing, it is always vegetarian. Rajasik food is also vegetarian but includes heavy foods like ghee, fried foods, etc. Tamasik foods include pungent foods like onion and garlic in addition to meat.
According to yogic philosophy: Satvik food is the most energy-giving. Rajasik food is good but heavy and can make you lethargic. Tamasik food is known to excite or trigger anxiety.

I realized Korbin actually liked Indian Vegetarian food much more than Non Veg throughout the entire trip. From Punjabi Parathas,to Rajasthani hotel where he enjoyed Paneer most, to this restaurant. It's why I believe Indian Non Vegetarians eat non veg just for the sake of it. Veg is where it's at.
