That's why Pai Mei disrespected him all the way trought the fight, you see: Traditional martial arts permits a challenge and a duel with a master of an art, in this case, Pai Mei is the master, so a duel against him is an duel against the school, but the school can have rules, like for instance, in certain karate dojos, when you want to prove their style, sometimes you may fight the second best before the best, it gives a chance to see not only if you're up to the challenge, but worthy of the master, but the rule is DO NOT KILL the second one. The protagonist was blinded by revenge, and his kung fu was not that good, because he wasn't able to subdue his opponents without resorting to deadly force. sea green that’s true. In Chinese Kung Fu there are lots of techniques that specifies to kill, and lots of schools and styles include attacking testicles (like Wung Chun in Ip Man 4). As a counter, there’s a skill generally called 缩阳入腹 (hiding testicles into lower belly) which prevents weakness being attacked. There are lots of other ‘ridiculous’ and kinda despicable techniques like this. Still take Wung Chun as an example, 标指 is also a technique to use fingertip to thrust throat or slash eyeball of enemy. In order to kill the enemy any weakness can be utilised.
I love the timing and practice these actors showed in these classic Hong Kong martial arts movies. 1:00-1:04 Despite the fact these are not sharp that is impressive timing to duck those blows.

my next pick up line
Pae Mei is very dangerous, his understanding of external and internal kung fu, enables him to take damage, and handle it better, making it very hard to find his weakness. But it his years of experience in martial arts, that gives him a good grasp on who can beat him, and how, and their potential.
“He moved the nuts...I don’t know how but he moved the nuts”
He chopped off the nuts, because they is supposed to be weak point of every Kung Fu fighters
I wish I could of moved my nuts when that girl kicked me in mine years ago..
I'm wondering why Pai Mei isn't fondling his beard.
he only do it when he's full of himself
Scarface 927 coz there isnt a single speaker of japanese
the priest his moves one of the best in martial arts..
Wickedthtz.
Bseo
My top five fav Kung fu movie. Pai Mei was so badass you had to fight his swordsmen first
Great past production thx for post .
Lieh Lo never disappoints.
I was once tinkering with some
scissors trying to make the same sound as they do in this clip with the swords. Now i'm circumcised.
LOVE this Kung Fu Classic!! If only Hung Se Quan took those ten years to learn the Crane style, he would’ve beaten Pai Mei, no contest!
Good stuff! Brings back memories
The "rolling down the steps" scene so inspired Ridley Scott that he included an homage to it in Prometheus.
the white lotus priest pai mei was definitely a real historical figure, Lucas said he was the inspiration behind Darth Vader. ...
You serious?
A historic figure yes, but not the traitor he is portrayed as in the movies. Actually it was another monk that betrayed the shaolin Temple
Lucas never said that lol. Darth Vader is Hitler....
Lucas took the plot of Star Wars from a Japanese film called The Hidden Fortress. He even admitted it in an interview.
@@carlkim2577 Oh absolutely, I believe altogether he's officially said Flash Gordon, Kurosawa films ( Specifically The Hidden Fortress), and Triumph of The Will the nazi propaganda film. I was just pointing out Pai Mei has nothing to do with any of that lol.
Rule One is "Do not act incautiously when confronting a little bald wrinkly smiling man"
Thief of Time, Terry Pratchett
Saw Pal Mei in Kill Bill 2 but I had no idea he was an old character from classic Kung Fu movies until now. So cool.
I remember this lol he kept on moving his weak point lol 😂
I wen't to see this movie back in 1977 it was good then as it is today in 2019
Imagine studying under Pai Mei and still being so incompetent that even with a sword and a teammate, you can't take on one unarmed fighter.
i absolutely love these old martial arts films
I remember this. Pai Mei eventually kills him in their second fight. The guy’s son eventually kills Pa Mei in a revenge fight by a technique learned by his mother.
The legendary Pai Mei who was also featured in Kill Bill 2 supposedly immortal.
I think if I threw 35 punches at someone and he avoided and blocked them all I would say JUST KIDDING! and run off.
It's a prank Bro!!!
Ha ha ha
killersushi99 LMAO
In essence this is what Hung Hsi-Kuan does.
😂💯
These older movies are the best, especially the sound effects.❤
Not gonna lie... I did some of these moves and actually won my first fight in high school. People thought I was a karate expert lol.... But then when I started doing more street fights, reality hit me and soon these moves from the movies didn't work.... So I trained in Jujitsu and that became more of my style... Pain and hard work.
Pai Mei here is more Op than Tarantino version, he can move his balls away to avoid damage here. Damm
Pai Mei was a eunuch
@@hillbillysceptic1982 No he was not, look it up, his kungfu allow him to move his balls inside the body to protect it.
@@andyppreviews8132 I don't know if its true or not, but that is a ridiculous statement.
sea green that’s true.
@@Eric-dt7bt I ended up watching a scene from invincible armor. it made it clear he wasn't a eunuch, or he was faking lol. No telling with him.

Wu-Tang Protect ya neck
I knew that sounded familiar, ha

3AM ePiPhANies Man that’s my shit!!!!!
I was scrollin the comments for another real one to notice lol.
Was that "huh, give him your sword"? 😂😂
When I was a kid, I can watch this whole day
I remember this movie as a kid. 😀
This is definitely one of the best kung fu films, top ten i'd say
I love the timing and practice these actors showed in these classic Hong Kong martial arts movies.
1:00-1:04 Despite the fact these are not sharp that is impressive timing to duck those blows.
Priest Pai Mei was played by Lo Lieh. I'd recognize those eyes anywhere. Wow, it's been years since I've seen him. Glad I found this site.
I love finding shit like this and having that “oh, THAT’S what Tarantino was doing” moment
The dubbing is too funny for words.
May i have some pie, Pai Mei?
This is my favorite bad guy voice in the dub of pei mei. I think its hilarious when a good guy in another movie has the same voice. I always think "Oh this must be a bad guy!" but then he turns out to be good. But this is one of my favorite bad guy voices in all kung fu movies.
😆
My childhood movie....I miss it so much
Bai Mai , one tuff master . Seen this years ago the 80's on the Saturday night black belt theater.
