Great color and build.
Thanks!
Great build, gotta love a good Mopar
No doubt!
I've got a '68 that was built by James Tester, he did it in silver with a black vinyl top. I bought it from him at one of the DSC shows when he was selling some of his built kits. It's a beauty, but it has black wall tires and really needs those redline decals to set it off. I hope he doesn't mind if I add them.
I would think it needs them!
Now you've got me hoping Revell is watching youtube channels, and re-releases a '69 Dodge Dart.
In '69, I thought these were too small. In 2024, the proportions look surprisingly good.
It's well overdue! Happy hunting.
Great Review -- Nice Build --Agree, those redlines look sharp with the Celery Green color. I had a slant 6 Swinger got rearended by a Firetruck not my fault.
Thanks. That sucks.
Slant six didn’t move fast enough to out run the fire truck 😊
Sweet build, it looked great in the sunlight! I haven't built mine yet,. I will soon. 😎👍
Thanks 👍
I love that color! Sweet build Raoul!
Thank you!
Neat history about these Mopars. Nice build!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another nice looking build, I’ve got two of these Dart kits in the stash, the Hemi one and the Mr Norm version. Looks like they build up nice. Haven’t built a Mopar in a while……..
Very nice!
Really sweet build, stiill.lovin the facts, even the 21lb weight differences is really interesting. Excellent job on the red lines. I never would've guessed that you painted those
Thanks! Yes. Used a white gel pen then painted over it in red.
Very nice looking model. Good color choice. I have built the ‘68 Dart and, I agree, it is a very good kit. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍
Nice work looks great
Thanks!
Very nice build! Frank floral top was nice too. I got a Mr Norm Dart waiting for me. Thanks for sharing.
Right on. Enjoy it!
Love your builds. I think my friend had a '67 Dart in that color. 318 ?
Very cool!
Great video, I love this car. What a great color choice. Just subbed, thank you for sharing
Thanks for the sub! Check out some of my other videos.
awesome video ! I picked up the ‘69 kit as well as the Dick Landy version after your earlier video :-)
Thanks!
Great build & nice color!
Thank you!
Yup - gonna have to go find one of these now. lol.
LOL! Time to go shopping!
Bone stock 340's in 1969 would make 315 to 320 hp pretty easy on the dyno. For years I had two 1969 Darts, one a GTS 340 auto the other a 340 four speed swinger both were Q5 from the factory.
Very cool!!
❤
👍
Love the color on this car - the styling reminds me of the 1967 Plymouth GTX but I guess they were related. Does this kit build up as nicely as Revell's GTX kit? That was one of my all time favorite model kits.
Thanks. Yes this builds up just as nice as the 67 GTX! It is designed the same way. Also if you haven’t seen Revell’s 67 Charger, 67 Coronet RT, 68 Charger RT, 69 Charger RT, 70 Charger RT, 69 Daytona and even the 68 Darts and 68 Hemi Dart. They all build up like the 67 GTX!
nice build thx 4 the history on the dfferent kits i forgot dick landy drove one😁🤩ps love the color scooter😎
Thanks. Dick Landy actually had two 68 Darts! He had one of the 50 68 440 GTS Darts, then a 68 Hemi Dart.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler thats the stuff thx again now i jus gotta get a 440 cross ram and i know where 🤗
Very popular color in 69
I have seen a few.
Nice build 😅
Thanks 😅
@@TheMuscleCarModeler your welcome 😁
This a category that Ford really dropped the ball on - the budget musclecar. It would have SO easy to combat the Dart GTS and Barracuda Formula S and Nova SS. The '66-'70 Falcon was in the same size category, but was built on Fairlane subframes. The engine compartments were identical between the two, and the 390 and 428 CJ are drop-in swaps. In fact, the 460, which came out in 1968, can fit a little more snugly but still without cutting anything. Can you imagine?
Rewinding to yesterday's video about the 340 Demon, Ford had the Maverick Grabber at the time. Why didn't they offer that with the 351 Cleveland 4V? Good grief. And what about the Boss 351? One of those in a Maverick and/or Comet GT would have cleaned every factory Hemi or Rat car off the street. Ah well, FoMoCo knew best, right? {cough}
I agree with this assessment! I think that when Ford realized the runaway hit it had with the Mustang in 66, that they focused on that car after that. Total performance was dwindling down and they went stagnant. Only focusing on the Mustang but no longer going all out. They were falling behind again and even when they went to race the Boss 429. They only offered that motor in the Mustang but raced it in many cars.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler The fact that Ford put a "big block" engine compartment into the redesigned '66 Falcon tells me that someone over there was thinking to step up that car's game. With the 352 still in production, a PI cam (solid) and PI intake (alloy) already on the shelves would have made for a gnarly junior muscle car, if they didn't want to overshadow the Fairlane 390 and/or the Mustang. Oh well.
