What's interesting about Chabal is you can place him in any time period in human history and he would fit right in.
nah he whould mostly fit in dark ages and back time lines whay beter
Chabal never was a rugby player
He'd be the last man standing in Mad Max world.
Stone age would fit him best.
Especially the performance enhancing drug period in human history. Guy was a beast, no particular skill no particular workrate but he carried hard and was juiced to the eyeballs. Towards the end of his career was out of his depth.
Sebastian Chabal was found encased in ice high in the French Alps. He was defrosted and was found to be a gifted back rower and was immediately included in the French set up.
Ah, not quite dear boy - it was The Pyrannees, i.e. the south west!
The last of the Neanderthals
WATCH PART 2: czcams.com/video/PsJ8sstwUO4/video.html
Lomu had it all in Rugby. speed, power, ball handling, agility, toughness. My nr.1 alltime in front of Richie McCaw and Dan Carter. Was just great watching him play live. At 6.5 " height and a brick wall of muscle he was able to run 100m in 10.8seconds. Incredible. He wasnt feared but immensely respected. Rugby killed my fun of watching football. All these high level athletes faking, diving screaming after being lightly touched and admired for it (Busqets, Neymar, Ronaldo...etc) . Still like the technical play in football but the rules nowadays reward people faking and it destroys professional football. In every game nowadays you have someone taking a dive. Rugby has a very honest approach to sports and contrary to football I never experienced a rugby player being a jackass outside of a game. Most are approachable lads.
Lomu was an amazing player ... for his time, cause is bio-type was exceptional ... now a days he would be like Caleb Clarke ... still good enough for the ABs but no were near a dominant as he was
He was impressive
BUT you forgot his defensive shortcomings despite his size.
He could be overrun by forwards
Neymar just broke his spine by looking at this video.
lol
It’s ok he has the money to fix it. These poor dopes however. 😂
Broke... Mate, shattered! ☠️
Different sport. Football is about skills and stamina. Plus he earns 1000x more than these meat heads
SHEEEESH ^^
Chabal is undoubtely the scariest, he truly have the look of a Neandertalian man
Chabal and Lomu driven T-rex 66M years ago, and no one was shocked
Yeah he got the looks. Unfortunately he ran into Jerry though. RIP.
@@calbertini33 Those were around more than 65 million years ago, not 1 million.
Check for "Leguizamon hits Chabal".
he used to play in wwe as the great khali 🤣
Eben is an absolute monster. In 2015, the Springboks did training on my high-schools rugby field. The whole team is jacked, but Eben is a muscular giant.

IF YOU PUT SOME FLASHES OF WHITE LIGHT IN VIDEO WE CANT SEE NOTHING !!!!!! IT IS STUPID !!!!
It blows my mind that more players aren't seriously injured more frequently, especially concussions.
Its probably overlooked due to the culture
When you don’t have a helmet on. You naturally aim meat for meat and avoid all head contact
I saw 2:20 and take it all back
I'm fast and powerful, friends always tried to get me to play rugby. Finally persuade me to go to their club. Turns out toughness isn't one of my qualities. Rugby wasn't for me
@@bergalicious5244 could still catch a knee
I like the fact there’s a lot of clips here that I’ve never seen before so fair play!
Beautiful video, thank you
Intentional headbutt to the back of the head and similar attacks should result in a permanent ban from the sport.
I am not familiar with the rules, but I hope that's not legal.
@@uelideschwart4056 It's not legal, but it's not punished severely enough.
Agree. Not even allowed in boxing.
Permanent ban? Mad 😂😂
@@iamroma let me guess. You're a sour kiwi🤣. This is rugby not ballet. You can literally drop your shoulder and in a legal manner break the tacklers skull or neck. A headbutt is the least of your concern.
Rugby is my new favorite sport!!! So much respect for how hard the players push themselves to win. Very aggressive and a wonderful display of brute force and agility mixed.
Makes the NFL look bad.
@@1dashcamboatsandcars hahahahah
Watch the NRL. You’ll see players pushing themselves. The NRL is miles faster and way more skilful.
@@chrisr5786 i love NRL but lately the game has gone too soft 😒
“A baby rhino with a dart up his backside” might be the funniest way I’ve ever heard a commentator describe a player
amazing work on this video
Rugby makes American football look nerfed by 99%, some of those runs are epic.
Rugby there more structure on the tackling which is more safe in American football before you can hit from anywhere and use your helmet to lead the hit to cause more damage the worse hits come from a receiver trying to catch a ball from the middle or from a blindside
@@tavobeasty82 Helmet targeting is illegal in American Football
Rugby hits seem to be far more technical, discipline-wise... and more effective. I'm an American football fan, but when NFL players hit with the same technical skill as these rugby players, that's when your say "DYAM"!!! Much respect to rugby
@@stevusmaximus WTF was going on at 2:30 that guy was kinda sus. I always knew rugby was a nonce sport
@@Bobcat8188 there's assholes in every sport, that's a great example
Started playing this when I was 16 and cause of teenage mindset, I loved it I was addicted to the chemical release of my brain, had some memmorable moment like waiting and positioning myself for incoming opponent, didnt make him fall but I stopped him then I used a wrestling move to take him down, didnt had a thought just pure instinct
Sadly depression stopped me from the game and every sport of my life, I just recovered this year after years of depression I'm starting to become myself again. I loved this sport which I always remember the memory
Get back on the field, its never too late bro
WTF was going on at 2:30 that guy was kinda sus. I always knew rugby was a nonce sport
glad you got better stay strong 💪
ah, ok
Take care, and enjoy what you really love, that is what kept you stronger. Cheers from Italy.
What I like from Etzebeth, is that he has adapted is rough game to the new safety rules, the man is a killing machine ... but a smart killing machine, and for that kind of forwards is not easy to change their style of rough game
Do you guys remember that duel ali williams had with chabal in 2006. I will never forget how they were getting stuck into each other loving every moment an ali left the field smiling with a mouth full of blood after chabal broke his jaw after a head clash. The memories
Rugy is what American "football" claims to be
Was just browsing on CZcams and this video came in suggestions list. Good that I watched this video. Its truly Fantastic. Good detailing and nice presentation. That’s an absolutely stunning video. Good creative work and great editing skills. Truly this video is very informative and eye-catching. Looking forward for many more such good videos from you. Good luck and God Bless for your future, life and career.
No one is feared in rugby! Only immensely respected!! You don't step on the field in fear of opponents you give 110 percent and if you get smashed or run over at least you gave it your all and you get up and try again! This is Rugby!! 💪
The English were genuinely afraid of Lomu in that95 RWC match...
I get what you mean but I’d probably need to change my shorts if i saw Chabal running straight at me
@@MacDeece 😂😂😂😂😂
James Haskell says the only player he was “super weary of and wondered where he was” was Henry Tuilagi. Check out the on The Good, The Bad and The Rugby.
Ye sure..All about respect..Look at the guy at 2.24... Always this bs that rugby it's all about respect and honor.. Many bullies there too. I'll never understand how people like such violent sport.
🇼🇸 Samoan Brian Lima nicknamed "the chiropractor "and 🇳🇿 ex All Black Jerry Collins who's actually of Samoan descent ... two of the hardest tacklers in world rugby ever...RIP Jerry
not about tackling bro its about FEARED PLAYER Jonah Lomu was probly only player to strike genuine fear into some players hearts. some players got ut of the way on purpose in a world cup playoff game...who the fuk do you know who evokes such cowardice in the pinnacle games of a mans carreer? NO FKN ONE....jerry and lima,,,lololol
Отличный выпуск. Николай спасибо, что ведёте такой познавательный канал.
I still dont understand the game exactly but the show of raw power is always impressive. Some of those guys are absolute monsters, meant as a compliment.
the ball can only be passed backwards and is always in play, if you can take it, take it and run... cant pass of the ground. you can form a ruck and carry your team mate up the field.
I am basketball and football fan but those guys are monsters. Huge respect
They have to be since this is like playing in the NFL WITHOUT the helmets and protection gear.
This is what real man’s football looks like USA no padding and headgear
I never knew how entertaining this sport can get.. I now need to figure out how to watch this game!! Lol
The day the NFL bans all helmets and pads is the day I’ll start watching it. Rugby…now that’s a man’s sport!
Mamuka Gorgodze the beast!!!!!!
That dude is especially fruity. WTF was going on at 2:30 that guy was kinda sus. I always knew rugby was a nonce sport
Of all these, Lomu is the one feared due to his sheer skill. A lot of the rest at some time or another resort to underhanded cheap shots, theatrics or dirty play to intimidate, not Lomu, he never had to.
You're joking right? Lomu was a tank, he smashed alottt of people. He has that many highlights they can only show his best skills reel. Video be 2 hours long on Lomu's hits lol
yeah, you just saw what chabal did to him
James Small never feared Lomu
@@hearingvisions7307
You missed the OP's point. Yes Lomu was feared, there is no doubt about that. They feared his skill, not his dirty play.
Jerry Collins was the person no one wanted to run into - not Lomu.
Awesome video
It's a great game that some are still playing in their late 30s. Some illegal moves here and in these types of videos ...lol. Can't tackle a man unless he has the ball. No tackling during a jump to catch the ball. Head hits totally illegal. No Swinging arms. No shoulder charges. No hip drops to the back of the opponent's legs during a tackle. No punching of course. The umpire can send a player off for 10 minutes for serious fouls and that changes the whole outcome of a game, or the other team can get a penalty goal. These are great sportsmen, and they all have a duty of care to their opponents - though at times certain players lose their cool, they all respect one another. Rugby union, with lots of scrums and mauls is different to Rugby Rules which is a much faster game using all of the arena throwing the ball - more running, short kicks, great to watch both. Regards.
Gorgodze was such a beast, that he had no problem to bully Bakkies Botha (the are some of his moments against Botha in this video too). By the way, unlike some players in this video, Mamuka never was a dirty player. All his fights that I remember was response to dirty plays and provocations...
As a springbok supporter, I love my team and country. Gorgodze has my respect, as does Chabal. We love these guys in SA. Not sure if they would have made the green jersey, but they would certainly fit in nicely to my beloved KZN sharks. Could you imagine it...
i was shocked bakkies looked scared and did not confront gorgodze
hahaha came for this comment. It was such a fresh sight seeing Gorgodze not being fazed the least by Botha.
This. Gorgodze was nails. Botha was an unlikeable schoolyard bully. Botha looked scared of him....
And Botha trying to put in a cheap late shot and getting sat on his arse is by far the best moment in this vid!
Nobody is fearing them, they are squaring up to them……
Lomu was feared for his pace.
All I see is a bunch of dirty shots, hitting people while their down or not looking
@@rogerfederer3817 lol this. Refs barely even punish dirty play. Like that person headbutting the guy from the back; he should be banned for life. Do that IRL in certain state you'll get bullet in your head as a response. Nothing tough or fearful about being a slimy rat and hitting people unprepared.
Yep, unless you consider fear the in ability to man up and hit dudes square. All iIsaw was mainly cheap shots. There were very few head on collisions which were nice.
@@Despond actually, no he was banned from the rest of the tournament, they actually punish all foul play, some of them just gets away with it, and a lifetime ban isnt deemed necesary unles a career or life changing injury has occurred, and that guy who headbutted that All-Black has actually gotten a lot of respect from players he's played against, theyre grown men doing something they love< they aint doing it for the money or the fame like most american athletes does
@@rogerfederer3817 holy shits its roger federer
Well Done Eben. What a damn great springbok
GG Montages, my bro, what is the name of this song my dude, been looking for it for a while
Lomu had technique, speed and strength. Such a beast! RIP.
He was the greatest.
Played a few yrs of American rugby
Brutal and loved it. I'm a small dude 5'6 187 pounds. Yes dangerous and risk taking sport..I'm glad I did it.
lol wtf is american rugby? is it the same as rugby but with an iron man suit on?
Wish I could of said the same, 5'5 150lbs. One of my biggest losses on this planet.
I can only think of Jonah Lomu and Henry Tuilagi as players that genuinely instilled fear. Jonah because of his size and speed and Henry because he was he ultimate wrecking ball.
Genge doing Farrell over is beautiful.
Obviously due to him going for the neck as per.
Peter Stringer ever though, in my top 10 hardest players of all time.
Its brutal, but considering its brutality, they really have a big heart that almost none turn out into a full blown fight.
Esse esporte é muito doido!!!
Só paulada!!!!
Love watching real men bring it.... Respect.
Never watched any rugby before in my life. Ended up enjoying 10 straight minutes of power and momentum.
ohh interesting
@Mantelar trouble with US football is that a wider variety of tackles is allowed so people just improvise and do whatever they feel like doing
@Mantelar Totally agree. Plus, American Football has an average of about 10 minutes of actual action per game. In Rugby Union, you get the full 80 minutes of action.
Chabal singlehandedly reignited the fashion for beards….women everywhere were mesmerised by his sheer damn manliness and their partners needed to man up!
I have no clue but it sounds good
Sure that he’s way more attractive than a she/her leftist skinny boy who feel offended by the fact that there are not non binary toilets in LAX airport.
Who Chabal again?
@@LesRequiem957the beardy one
That man would be in his element back in the day with a huge axe smashing his enemies 🤣🤣
I remember as a kid and young teen casually watching when Dad put the Rugby Union on the TV and I saw Sebastien Chabal all I could think of is "man, what a beast of a guy"
Pretty cool to come across a video with this theme all these years later and he's on the thumbnail
Jonah Lomu was the all time toughest- RIP

Rugby should be the highest paying team sports. Most underrated underappreciated sports ever.
All professional sports are paid by advertisement, enterteinment, and branding.
The more they sell, the higher they pay.
I don't think it's underappreciated, it's just a stupid game.

Mamuka gorgodze❤️❤️🏈🇬🇪
yep. Gorgodze makes Etzebeth look like a little boy.
Gorgozilla
A true beast of the game.
@@linearstudio1236 no, that's where you wrong. But, a psychology assessment tells us you picked the biggest beast of the lot to compare with Mamuka Gorgodze, who is also a legend of a beast. Eben thanks you.
@@proudsaffa2357 nah, even Bakkies was scared of Mamuka. Thats why they kept taking him off in france whenever Gorgodze came on. Mamuka was a true beast, whereas Ive never actually seen Etzebeth get into a fight, just a bit of grabbing and shoving,. Hes a big strong boy no doubt, but compared to Gorgodze hes a boy scout.
Definitely needed Jerry Collins in this video
Jonah was king, that dudes pace was something else from such a big guy.
Henry Tuilagi is the most powerful man in rugby in his time
that dont hit him high, dont hit him low, dont hit him anywhere is legendary
when i watch this stuff i think...."remember thousands of years ago when it was just massive armies with melee weapons? these are the guys who they told stories about"

jonah lomu era un tractor, una gran leyenda
I'd be like, whispering 'I'll give you the ball and some money after the game'.
Needed the clip of lomu running through 5 frenchman aswell as the clip of him throwing a guy over his shoulder

I was hoping to see the big collision between the two behemoth's Sebastien Chabal and Ali Williams . Now that was devastating and there was only one possible outcome , the Caveman flattened the biggest behemoth on the pitch
Ali Williams, nah, wrong division mate. Brodie, yes.
Only if the caveman wasn’t so scared of Jerry Collins. Heck, as soon as he saw Jerry he slowed down and dropped the ball and still got hurt by Jerry. The commentator even said you can’t blame Chabal for dropping the ball as soon as he saw Jerry.
Even better was the hit by Chabal on Chris Masoe. Probably the best timed and cleanest thumping I've ever seen.
@@An_Arbitrary_Miscellany not really because that was a blindsided tackle. It wasn’t like Masoe was running straight at him. It was a good tackle, but not impressive. Chabel was scared of Jerry Collins, he slowed down and dropped the ball as soon as he realized it it was Jerry lining him up. The commentator even said can you blame Chabel for dropping the ball after seeing Jerry waiting for him? That shows that Chabal is good at putting a good one on ya but not if you see him coming. He doesn’t deserve to be on this list for being scared of Jerry that he slowed down and dropped the ball.
You should’ve seen this instead.

So much respect!
That's real contact sports man seeing it dam 👍
And Jonah ran over all of them with a smile on his face lol
This reminds me of the old mma days. Absolutly brutal!

@@whatshatnin4572 footballers are not used to playing without pads and helmets. And most of these guys in this vid are big, you can’t compare them to running backs, receivers, cornerbacks, who are obviously faster. Most of the guys in this vid are like linemen, except that in rugby, they play both defense and offense.
@@whatshatnin4572 Not all are faster. Rugby has the obviously big enforcers but the backline has the wings which is super agile and fast. There is a difference between fearing players that were great athletes and fearing players that played dirty. I always heard from guys rugby is all about sportsmanship.

It is not a fair comparison. The rules on tackling is different. There is strict rules on how you are allowed to tackle in rugby. In grid iron the protection comes from the equipment in rugby it comes from rules. A lot of things in regards to tackling in grid iron would never happpen a rugby pitch.
